To close a Bitget account, first close or liquidate every position, finish or cancel pending orders and transactions, withdraw available balances, wait for withdrawals to complete, empty the Bitget Web3 wallet, and settle any debt, claim, hold or account limitation. On the website, use Profile > My Profile > Close Account. In the mobile app, open the menu, tap the profile bar and choose Delete Account. Review the warnings, acknowledge them and complete the requested password or security verification.
Bitget’s deletion guides say the review is completed within 24 hours after submission. Treat that as the stated review period rather than a guaranteed instant closure: a withdrawal, claim, freeze or other unresolved account issue can prevent the request from proceeding.

What to do before requesting closure
Account deletion is a final account action, not a way to pause trading. Make a written record of anything you may need later—transaction IDs, statements, tax records, support tickets and screenshots—before submitting the request. After deletion, you will no longer be able to sign in or trade through that account.
Close positions and resolve orders
- Close or liquidate every open spot, margin, futures or other position shown in the account.
- Cancel orders that have not filled, or let them complete and confirm the resulting balance.
- Finish or cancel pending transactions. Bitget’s Terms of Use say it may cancel or suspend pending transactions when an account is terminated.
Do not assume an order is finished because you pressed cancel. Check the order history and asset balance until the status has changed and any released funds are available to withdraw.

Withdraw balances and wait for pending withdrawals
Move all withdrawable assets to a destination you control and confirm that no withdrawal remains in progress. The deletion guides require withdrawn funds and no pending withdrawal before you continue. A withdrawal that is still processing can leave the closure request blocked.
Empty the Web3 wallet
The mobile deletion guide specifically requires the Bitget Web3 wallet to contain no assets. Transfer those assets before deleting the account. The guide warns that assets left there cannot be recovered after deletion.
Clear debts, claims and restrictions
Bitget’s Terms state that you must pay outstanding amounts owed to Bitget and authorize it to deduct those amounts from the account. A pending claim, freeze, hold, limitation or reserve can also make closure unavailable. Resolve these matters with support before trying again.
How to withdraw safely before deletion
Bitget’s Terms permit a transfer to an external wallet when your account has sufficient balance and the asset is not on hold. The destination can be another exchange, a self-custody wallet or a hardware wallet; no particular wallet brand is required for closure.

- Select the asset you intend to withdraw and verify the amount, available balance and any product-specific restrictions.
- Choose a network supported by both Bitget and the destination. A network mismatch can make an asset inaccessible.
- Copy the destination address from the receiving wallet rather than typing it manually. Check the first and last characters, memo or tag requirements and network name.
- Send a small test amount when the destination or network is unfamiliar. Confirm receipt before transferring the remainder.
- Save the withdrawal ID and wait until the withdrawal shows as completed. Do not submit account deletion while it is pending.
The cited Bitget materials do not promise that every asset or network will be available at every moment, and they do not publish one universal withdrawal-fee table. Availability, processing time and charges can vary by asset, network, product and region, so read the withdrawal screen and applicable fee schedule at the time you send funds.
Website instructions
- Sign in to Bitget and open the profile menu.
- Select My Profile.
- Scroll to Close Account and open it.
- Read the warnings and select each required acknowledgment.
- Select Close Account again.
- Complete any password, two-factor or other security verification requested, then submit the request.
Bitget’s website guide says the review process will be completed within 24 hours after submission. Keep the confirmation screen or ticket reference until the review finishes.
Mobile-app instructions
- Open the Bitget app and tap the menu icon.
- Tap the profile bar at the top of the menu.
- Choose Delete Account.
- Confirm that positions are closed, balances have been withdrawn, pending withdrawals are finished and the Web3 wallet is empty.
- Read the risk warning, tap Next and complete the requested verification.
If the menu labels differ from these instructions, update the app and use the account or security section that leads to account deletion. Do not submit until the confirmations accurately describe your account.

- API private keys are deactivated.
- Authorized devices are unlinked.
- Verified identity information is permanently deleted.
- Rewards or bonuses are not distributed.
- The deleted account cannot be recovered.
Plan around the identity and access consequences. Export records, remove API credentials from your own systems and tell anyone who relies on an integration that the keys will stop working.
Thirty-day re-registration restriction
Bitget’s 2024 and 2025 deletion guides state that the same mobile number, email address or identity document cannot be used to register a new account for 30 days after deletion. This is a waiting period, not a recovery mechanism: creating a new account does not restore the deleted account’s history, keys, balances or rewards.
The mobile guide also warns that a bank-transfer account previously opened through Bitget may not be usable with a new account tied to the same identity card. If bank transfers are important, resolve that question with support before deleting the original account.

The cited deletion guides do not state a separate account-closure fee. That does not make every final transaction free. Bitget’s Terms incorporate the fee schedules for applicable products and allow trading fees, withdrawal charges, borrowing costs, interest and other product charges. Check the relevant schedule and the amount shown on each withdrawal or repayment screen.

Outstanding amounts still have to be paid. Under the Terms, Bitget may deduct money owed from the account. A negative balance or unresolved claim can therefore delay closure even if the account appears inactive.

Bitget’s Terms say you may not be able to close an account when any of these conditions applies:
- A transaction is pending.
- An outstanding claim or dispute remains open.
- You owe Bitget money.
- The account or assets are subject to a freeze, hold, limitation or reserve.
How to clear a blocked request
- Open order and transaction history and identify every non-final status.
- Check withdrawal history for processing, failed or returned transfers.
- Review margin, borrowing and derivatives pages for liabilities or collateral holds.
- Look for open P2P disputes, chargebacks, compliance reviews or identity-verification requests.
- Contact Bitget support with the account identifier and relevant transaction or ticket numbers. Ask what exact condition must be cleared before deletion can be submitted.
Do not repeatedly submit the form while a restriction is active. Keep the support response and follow its required sequence, because canceling a transaction or repaying a balance may need to occur before the account page enables closure.

How long does deletion take?
The official website and mobile guides state that review is completed within 24 hours after you submit the request. That statement covers Bitget’s review process, not the time needed to settle a blockchain withdrawal, resolve a dispute or remove a hold. Network confirmation and account investigations can take longer, and the cited materials do not promise a universal withdrawal time.
If the account is still accessible after the stated review window, check whether Bitget requested additional verification or whether a transaction remains pending. Avoid sending new deposits or creating a second account while the closure request is being reviewed.
When to contact Bitget support
Use the official Bitget Support Center when a withdrawal is stuck, the deletion option is missing, a claim or restriction is unclear, or the review has not completed. Its help areas include account closure, crypto withdrawals, P2P disputes, ticket tracking and identity-verification issues, and its customer-support team is multilingual.
Information to include in a ticket
- The email address or mobile number associated with the account (do not send your password).
- Whether you used the website or app and the app or browser version, if relevant.
- The exact status shown for the withdrawal, order, claim or deletion request.
- Transaction IDs, withdrawal IDs or an existing ticket number.
- Screenshots with seed phrases, passwords, authentication codes and full private information redacted.
Support cannot restore a deleted account or recover assets left in the Web3 wallet, so ask for help before submitting deletion when any balance or access question is unresolved.

- All positions are closed or liquidated.
- All open orders and pending transactions are completed or canceled.
- Every withdrawable balance has been sent to a verified destination.
- No withdrawal is processing.
- The Web3 wallet is empty.
- Borrowed amounts, fees, claims and other debts are settled.
- No freeze, hold, limitation or reserve remains.
- Important statements, transaction records and tax documents are saved.
- API integrations and authorized devices have been documented or removed.
- You understand that deletion disables access and cannot be reversed, and that re-registration with the same mobile number, email or ID is restricted for 30 days.
