U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded a third consecutive week of net inflows, while Ether ETFs swung to net outflows, according to a Cointelegraph report published Oct. 5, 2026, citing SoSoValue data. The report put Bitcoin ETF inflows at $241.1 million and Ether ETF outflows at $138 million for the latest reported week.

What the reported weekly flows show

The figures compare net flows for two ETF categories over the latest reported week. Cointelegraph’s Oct. 5, 2026 report attributed the amounts to SoSoValue; the exact start and end dates of the weekly window are not specified in the accessible report.

ETF category Latest reported weekly net flow Prior-week context
U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs $241.1 million inflow; the third consecutive positive-flow week The two preceding weeks were reported at $2.4 billion and $6.2 million in inflows
Ether ETFs $138 million outflow A $690 million net inflow was reported the week before

These are Cointelegraph-reported figures attributed to SoSoValue, not amounts independently recalculated from the underlying historical records. The accessible SoSoValue dashboard presents daily, weekly, and monthly views, but did not expose the historical values needed to verify these figures directly.

How to interpret the contrast

Net inflow means that, in aggregate, more money entered the ETF category than left it over the reporting period; net outflow means the reverse. The figures therefore show opposite flow directions for Bitcoin and Ether products in that week, and a reversal in Ether’s reported direction compared with the previous week.

They do not establish why investors bought or sold, whether money moved from one category to the other, or what either cryptocurrency’s price will do next. ETF flow is one measure of activity, not a standalone explanation or forecast.

Weekly flows are not cumulative totals

SoSoValue separates weekly net flows from daily and monthly flows, cumulative net inflows, net assets, and trading value. Those measures answer different questions: a one-week net flow describes movement during that period, while cumulative flows and net assets reflect broader totals or balances. They should not be treated as interchangeable.
