Short answer: The Bigme B13 Pro is a 13.3-inch, 4:3 color E Ink monitor with a 3200 × 2400 pixel matrix. Bigme rates it at 300 PPI for black-and-white content and 150 PPI for color, and advertises refresh of up to 60FPS. That 60FPS figure applies to the fastest partial-refresh modes, not to every screen update or to LCD-like response. Ghosting is reduced by automatic optimization but is not eliminated, and published materials do not state an internal battery, battery capacity or hours of runtime. The monitor draws 15 W over USB-C, so portable use depends on the computer, charger or power bank supplying it.
Those specifications make the B13 Pro most useful for reading, coding, document review and a portable second-screen setup. Its E Ink latency, refresh artifacts and muted color are still important limitations for games, fast video and other motion-heavy work.

The headline resolution, refresh number and power figure come from Bigme’s published specifications and launch material. Weight differs between those two published references, so it should be treated as approximate rather than a settled single figure.

Why monochrome and color have different PPI
Bigme lists 300 PPI for black-and-white content and 150 PPI for color content. Kaleido 3 places a color-filter layer over the underlying monochrome E Ink layer. The underlying black-and-white pixels retain the finer structure, while the filter’s color elements cover larger areas. As a result, a black text character can look noticeably crisper than a small colored label, icon or line in a chart even though both are drawn on the same 3200 × 2400 panel.
For ordinary documents, this distinction is most visible when you use small fonts, thin typefaces or fine punctuation. Increasing text size slightly and choosing a clear, regular font makes better use of the monochrome detail. Color remains useful for highlighted passages, spreadsheet categories, diagrams and interface cues, but it should not be expected to match a 300-PPI color LCD for fine graphics.
What the resolution does not tell you
Resolution is a count of pixels, not a promise of identical detail in every mode. The color filter lowers effective color detail, and E Ink’s reflective surface, front-light conditions and refresh behavior affect perceived sharpness. A 3200 × 2400 source image can therefore contain more information than the color layer displays cleanly at small sizes. For text-heavy work, judge the B13 Pro primarily by its monochrome rendering; for color artwork or video, the 150-PPI figure is the more relevant qualification.
Is the B13 Pro really 60Hz or 60FPS?
Bigme’s official specification says, “Refresh rate: 60FPS.” The launch announcement attributes the increase to the company’s high-speed refresh technology and says it enables smoother scrolling, document changes, window movement and app interaction than the previous B13, which was described as 30FPS.

What the 60FPS claim covers
On an E Ink monitor, “up to 60FPS” identifies the fastest available refresh behavior, normally associated with partial or aggressive refresh modes. It does not mean every pixel changes 60 times per second, nor does it make the panel respond like a 60-Hz LCD or OLED. Different content and refresh settings can produce different update speeds and image quality.
Fast modes are useful when scrolling a long article, dragging a window or moving through code. They prioritize responsiveness by updating portions of the image rather than performing a complete clean redraw every time. That can make interaction feel less sluggish, but it also permits residual images and other artifacts to build up.
Why 60FPS is not a gaming specification
Gaming and high-motion video require both rapid pixel transitions and consistent frame-to-frame clarity. The B13 Pro’s E Ink layer still has substantially more latency than a conventional emissive or backlit monitor. Even if an interface counter reports a high frame rate in a fast mode, motion can remain smeared, uneven or interrupted by refresh cycles. Treat 60FPS as a best-case interaction figure for supported modes, not as a guarantee of LCD-style gaming performance.
How bad is ghosting on the Bigme B13 Pro?
Bigme says the B13 Pro uses automatic ghosting-removal optimization that adjusts refresh behavior as the image changes. The independent review cited for this model reports that ghosting can still accumulate in web, browse and video/speed modes. A full refresh produces the cleanest image but takes longer. The accurate summary is: ghosting is managed, not eliminated.

What you will see in each type of refresh
- Partial refresh: Faster updates for scrolling and window movement, with a greater chance that traces of previous text or graphics remain.
- Aggressive or speed modes: The most responsive option for interaction, but residual images can become more noticeable during repeated motion or video.
- Full refresh: A slower, more complete redraw that clears accumulated artifacts and restores the cleanest presentation.
Ghosting is especially apparent when dark text moves over a light background, when a page contains large solid areas, or when you switch rapidly between very different windows. It is less distracting during a still document, where the display has time to settle.
Practical ways to control ghosting
- Use the fastest mode only when you need smoother scrolling or dragging.
- Switch to a normal or quality-oriented mode for reading, editing and detailed diagrams.
- Trigger a full refresh after a long browsing session, video playback or repeated window changes.
- Increase text size and contrast rather than relying on extremely thin, small fonts that make residual edges harder to distinguish.
There is no published percentage, response-time measurement or laboratory ghosting score for the B13 Pro in the available material. Any numerical claim would therefore overstate what is known.
Does the Bigme B13 Pro have a battery?
Published materials reviewed for this model do not identify an internal battery, battery capacity or hours-per-charge figure. It is safer to treat the B13 Pro as a USB-C-powered monitor rather than as a self-contained battery monitor.
How it gets power
Bigme states that a full-featured USB-C cable carries video and power and lists 15 W consumption, reduced from 26 W on the previous B13. The cable and host must support the required video mode as well as power delivery. A USB-C port intended only for low-power peripherals may not be sufficient.

The independent review warns that some low-power laptop USB-C ports may not sustain the monitor’s demand. In that situation, use a suitable USB-C power adapter or a power bank while carrying video from the computer through a compatible connection. If you are using HDMI for video, plan a separate USB-C power source because HDMI alone does not provide the monitor’s operating power.
Estimating portable runtime without inventing battery life
Because no runtime is published, calculate a power bank’s approximate upper bound from its watt-hours, then allow for conversion losses. For example, a 74-Wh power bank at a steady 15-W load has a theoretical limit of about 4.9 hours before losses; real runtime will be lower, and the computer or adapter may share that capacity. This is an estimate based on the stated 15-W draw, not a measured B13 Pro battery test.
Before travelling, verify three things: the power bank’s USB-C output rating, whether the cable supports video and power as required, and whether your laptop or phone can provide the needed display signal. Carrying a separate adapter is the more predictable option when the host port is known to be weak.

Connections and compatible devices
Bigme lists USB-C, HDMI and wireless casting. Windows, macOS, Android and iOS are named as compatible platforms. Compatibility still depends on the specific port and operating-system feature: a USB-C connector must support the relevant display output, while wireless casting requires a supported protocol and network or pairing setup.

USB-C single-cable setup
A full-featured USB-C connection is the simplest arrangement when the computer can supply both display data and enough power. It minimizes cable clutter, but it also concentrates every requirement in one port. If the image is unstable, the monitor repeatedly disconnects or the display never appears, test with a cable rated for video and a powered adapter or hub.
HDMI setup
HDMI supplies the picture signal. Provide the monitor’s power separately through USB-C, and check that the adapter can deliver the stated 15 W continuously. This arrangement is useful for computers whose USB-C ports do not support display output, but it adds a second cable and power source.
Wireless casting
Wireless casting is convenient for a phone or tablet when supported, but it introduces network and latency variables. It is better suited to reading, reference material and static presentations than to precise cursor work or fast animation.

Who should buy the B13 Pro?
Strong use cases
- Reading long documents with a reflective, low-glare presentation.
- Writing and reviewing code where monochrome text benefits from the 300-PPI layer.
- Editing manuscripts, tickets and spreadsheets that do not require rich color fidelity.
- Using a lightweight second screen while travelling, provided you can supply 15 W.
- Viewing color highlights, diagrams and status categories without needing LCD-level saturation.
Cases that need caution
- Competitive gaming or any work requiring consistently low input latency.
- Fast-motion video editing, action video or animation preview.
- Fine color illustration, photographic grading or design where 150-PPI color detail and muted E Ink color are limiting.
- Setups that depend on an underpowered laptop USB-C port and have no separate adapter.
Weight, price and launch timing
Bigme’s store page lists approximately 660 g, while the October 17, 2026 launch announcement lists approximately 643 g. The difference may reflect a product revision or measurement method; use an approximate figure when planning a bag rather than treating either number as definitive.
The official store price observed for the launch period was $569 on sale against a $749 reference price. Price, promotion and stock can change. The launch announcement described preorders from October 13 through October 25, 2026, with shipping planned from October 26, 2026. Verify current availability and the exact revision before ordering.
How to evaluate the B13 Pro against another portable monitor
Compare the displays on the factors that affect daily use, not just the largest resolution or refresh number:
- Effective detail: Separate monochrome resolution from color resolution; a color LCD may show finer colored graphics even when its headline pixel count is lower.
- Clean versus fast refresh: Ask whether the competing display offers a full-refresh option and how quickly it clears residual images.
- Ghosting and latency: Look for independent observations of motion behavior, not only a vendor’s maximum FPS label.
- Power arrangement: Confirm whether the unit has an internal battery, its capacity and runtime, or whether it is a 15-W USB-C load like the B13 Pro.
- Connectivity: Check USB-C video, HDMI, wireless casting and operating-system support for your actual devices.
- Portability and price: Compare current weight, availability and transaction price, since launch promotions and revisions can change the practical value.
Bottom line
The Bigme B13 Pro’s 3200 × 2400 panel gives text-focused work a high-detail monochrome layer, while the Kaleido 3 filter provides color at a lower effective 150 PPI. Its advertised 60FPS can make the fastest interaction modes feel more responsive than the earlier 30FPS B13, but it is not equivalent to a 60-Hz LCD. Automatic optimization reduces ghosting without removing it, and a full refresh remains the cleanest cure. No internal battery or runtime is published; plan around the stated 15-W USB-C draw and bring a capable host, adapter or power bank. For documents, code and a portable second screen, those compromises can be reasonable. For gaming, fast video or precision color work, they are fundamental limits.
