The Infinix Note 50x 5G+ is the better fit if you want a large screen and a low price; the vivo X300 FE is a compact premium phone with a sharper AMOLED display, a faster-chipset tier, a dedicated telephoto camera, wireless charging and a longer stated update commitment. The price gap is substantial: Infinix’s official listing displayed ₹14,999 for a Note 50x 5G+ configuration, while vivo’s September 2026 announced prices for the X300 FE ranged from ₹84,999 to ₹99,999 depending on storage. These are different storage variants and dated snapshots, not a like-for-like comparison.

On the announced prices, the X300 FE costs ₹70,000 more at the lowest listed variant (₹84,999 versus ₹14,999) and ₹85,000 more at 12GB/512GB (₹99,999 versus ₹14,999). The ₹94,999 live store display for the 12GB/256GB X300 FE is ₹80,000 above the displayed Infinix price. These arithmetic differences compare the listed prices, not matching memory or storage: the Note 50x listing offers 128GB storage, while each X300 FE option shown here has 256GB or 512GB.

These are manufacturer specifications, not results from a same-condition test. They establish differences in listed hardware, but do not by themselves establish comparative gaming speed, photo quality, battery runtime, charging time or durability.
Display and size: big-screen value or compact sharpness?
The Note 50x has the larger panel at 6.67 inches, which may suit people who prioritize screen area for video, reading or a larger interface. Its 720 × 1600 LCD is lower in resolution than the X300 FE’s 2640 × 1216 AMOLED. The vivo is smaller at 6.31 inches but offers a sharper OLED display, with both phones listing a 120Hz maximum refresh rate. Infinix also lists 60Hz and 90Hz modes.

So the choice is not simply “bigger versus better”: it is a larger, lower-resolution LCD versus a smaller, higher-resolution AMOLED. The vivo’s official launch announcement also claimed 5000 nits local peak brightness based on vivo’s internal laboratory testing as of May 6, 2026; that figure is a manufacturer test claim, not an independent or general-purpose brightness result. vivo India launch announcement, May 6, 2026
Performance: different listed chipset tiers, no proven speed ratio
Infinix specifies a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Ultimate, while vivo specifies a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 alongside LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. Those specifications place the X300 FE in a higher-end hardware class on paper, but there is no supported head-to-head benchmark here. Do not read the chipset names as a measured speed ratio or assume they predict sustained gaming performance, heat or everyday responsiveness in every workload.

Cameras: the vivo adds a dedicated telephoto lens
Infinix advertises a 50MP dual rear camera and 4K recording. vivo lists three rear cameras: a 50MP main camera with OIS and autofocus, a 50MP OIS telephoto camera, and an 8MP fixed-focus wide-angle camera. Its front camera is 50MP with autofocus. The dedicated telephoto camera gives the X300 FE a listed camera type the Note 50x listing does not specify; however, hardware specifications alone do not establish which phone takes better photos or video in real use.
vivo announced a ZEISS Telephoto Extender Gen 2 accessory for the X300 FE at ₹15,999 in its May 6, 2026 launch announcement. It is sold separately with an accessories kit, is compatible only with the X300 FE, and was described as available at select retailers. Battery, charging and protection
Infinix lists a 5500mAh semi-solid-state battery, up to 45W charging and 10W reverse charging. vivo lists a 6500mAh typical-capacity battery and 6350mAh rated minimum, with 90W wired FlashCharge and 40W wireless charging. vivo notes that maximum charging requires its original charger and cable and that actual charging power varies with conditions. Capacity and maximum charging wattage do not establish which phone lasts longer between charges or how quickly either charges in a real session.

These manufacturer specifications are not a substitute for independent durability testing, and the ratings alone do not establish how a device will fare after drops or prolonged exposure.
Software support: vivo states a longer commitment
Infinix lists XOS 15 powered by Android 15. The cited official Infinix sources do not establish a comparable OS-upgrade or security-update duration for the Note 50x. vivo lists Android 16 with OriginOS 6 and states five years of OS upgrades and seven years of security updates for the X300 FE. That makes vivo’s published support commitment clearer, but it does not establish the timing of individual updates in India.
Which phone should you choose?
- Choose the Infinix Note 50x 5G+ if keeping the purchase price low and having a larger screen matter more than premium display resolution, wireless charging or a dedicated telephoto camera. Its official listing displayed ₹14,999 for the listed 128GB variants at access.
- Choose the vivo X300 FE if you specifically want a compact 6.31-inch phone with a high-resolution AMOLED display, higher-end listed chipset and storage technologies, a dedicated telephoto camera, wireless charging, stronger ingress ratings and an explicit long-term update commitment—and the much higher price fits your budget.
- Check the exact offer before buying if the price difference is decisive. vivo’s announcement prices and store display differ, and the Infinix listing price is also a dated snapshot rather than a guarantee of today’s checkout price.
Sources and naming note
Infinix India uses “Note 50x 5G+” in its product listing and “Note 50x 5G” on its specifications page; both refer to the model identified there as X6857B. The comparison uses the product-listing name while preserving the distinction between those official page labels.
