Best Xbox Settings for My Recycling Center 2: Graphics, Performance and Controls

Start with the game’s default Xbox display and controller setup, then change one option at a time. My Recycling Center 2 is listed for Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, with Smart Delivery and an Optimized for Xbox Series X|S designation. The available Xbox information does not publish a resolution target, frame-rate target, HDR mode, or a Series X/S graphics-menu breakdown, so there is no evidence-based way to promise 4K, 60 frames per second, or a named performance mode.

The most reliable approach is to test the build installed on your console in a busy recycling yard. If it exposes a quality/performance selector, keep whichever option gives you steadier camera movement and input response. If it does not, use the console’s normal video output, a comfortable controller sensitivity, and vibration only if it helps rather than distracts.

The best starting setup

Use this order before attempting fine tuning:

  1. Install the latest available game update and let Smart Delivery provide the Xbox version intended for your console.
  2. Launch with the game’s default display preset and default controller layout.
  3. Visit a busy part of the yard, drive, rotate the camera, pick up objects and sort several items. This gives you a repeatable workload for judging steadiness.
  4. If a graphics selector is visible, test each option in the same location and keep the one with the more consistent response.
  5. Adjust camera sensitivity and vibration for comfort, changing only one setting between tests.

These steps are practical guidance, not a published benchmark. The developer says console physics and graphics were optimized for performance, and that controls and the controller UI were improved, but that statement does not provide an Xbox frame-rate measurement.

What is actually documented for Xbox

The store information identifies Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S versions. Series consoles are marked as optimized, and Smart Delivery is listed, so a compatible Series console should receive the appropriate version through the Xbox ecosystem. Full controller support and Xbox-controller compatibility are also published.

Question What is established What is not published
Supported consoles Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S are listed. No separate technical targets for Xbox One, Series S or Series X.
Series optimization The game carries an Optimized for Xbox Series X|S designation and Smart Delivery. The badge does not state a resolution, frame rate, graphics mode or loading-time figure.
Controller support Full controller support and Xbox-controller compatibility are listed. No authoritative button-by-button map is provided.
Display features A normal Xbox display output is supported. No confirmed HDR mode, resolution target, refresh-rate target or named graphics toggles.

Because those values are absent, treat any claim that the game runs at a guaranteed 4K or 60 fps on a particular Xbox model as unverified unless your installed build displays that information or a later developer note supplies it.

Display settings: what to change and what to leave alone

Keep the default preset first

The default preset is the safest baseline because the public Xbox listing does not describe the game’s internal display options. Record how driving, camera rotation and object handling feel before changing anything. If a later adjustment makes the image look sharper but causes uneven response, return to the baseline rather than chasing a specification the game does not publish.

If a quality/performance selector appears

Some builds expose a selector with labels such as quality and performance, but the available information does not confirm that My Recycling Center 2 uses those names or that both modes exist on Xbox. If your copy does show a selector, test each choice in the same busy-yard route. Compare camera pans, vehicle movement, object pickup and menu navigation. Choose the mode that remains steady during the activity you perform most often; do not assume one label has a particular frame-rate or resolution target.

HDR and television output

No game-specific HDR mode is documented. If the picture looks gray, over-bright or missing detail after enabling HDR at the console level, turn HDR off for the game or use your television’s correctly calibrated HDR profile. A normal SDR output is preferable to a badly mapped HDR image. Make changes in the Xbox video settings one at a time so you can identify whether the television, console output or game is responsible.

Resolution and refresh rate

Set the Xbox to the resolution and refresh rate that your television or monitor supports reliably. The game’s published information does not state a native internal resolution or a 120 Hz mode, so selecting a higher output value on the console should not be interpreted as proof that the game renders at that value. If another title works correctly at a high-refresh setting but this game feels unchanged, that is expected without a documented high-refresh target.

Television processing

For the lowest avoidable input delay, use your display’s Game mode and disable unnecessary motion smoothing, artificial sharpening or noise reduction. These are television settings, not My Recycling Center 2 options, and they can affect every game. If text becomes too soft after disabling processing, raise sharpness only slightly; excessive sharpening creates halos around interface elements.

How to test smoothness without inventing a frame-rate number

A repeatable test is more useful than a guessed specification. Use the same save and location for each comparison:

  1. Stand in a crowded section of the recycling yard with several objects visible.
  2. Rotate the camera slowly through a full circle, then make quicker left-right turns.
  3. Drive or walk through the yard while steering around objects.
  4. Pick up, carry and sort a group of items, watching for delayed input or uneven motion.
  5. Open and close menus, then save and reload once to assess consistency.

Judge steadiness, clarity and control response separately. A mode can look sharper while feeling less consistent, or feel responsive while showing a softer image. Repeat the route after every setting change and allow the game to settle after loading. This process can tell you which option feels better on your equipment; it cannot establish a universal frame-rate result for every Xbox model.

Series X and Series S guidance

What the optimization badge means

Optimized for Xbox Series X|S indicates that a Series-specific version or optimization is recognized by the Xbox platform. It does not, by itself, guarantee a particular pixel count, frame rate, HDR implementation or graphics menu. Smart Delivery likewise concerns obtaining the appropriate version, not a promise of identical performance between Series S and Series X.

Choosing between modes on a Series console

If your Series build presents multiple options, use busy-yard testing rather than assuming Series X should always use a quality mode or Series S should always use a performance mode. The available documentation gives no separate measurements, and scene complexity, display type and personal sensitivity can change which option feels preferable.

When Series performance feels uneven

Quit the game fully from the Xbox dashboard, relaunch it and repeat the same route. A clean restart can distinguish a one-off session issue from a persistent setting preference. If the problem remains, verify that the console and game are updated, then test with television processing reduced. Do not conclude that the console is failing from a single busy scene; compare several sessions and note whether the behavior is tied to a particular location or action.

Controller settings for driving, sorting and camera work

Begin with the standard layout

Full controller support is confirmed, but a public button map is not. Keep the default layout until you know which actions you use most. The important test is whether interaction, driving and camera controls are reachable without releasing the stick or shifting your grip.

Camera sensitivity

If the game exposes camera sensitivity, start near its middle value. Increase it gradually if turning feels sluggish while driving; decrease it if small stick movements make the view overshoot objects. Test both slow inspection and quick turns, because a value that helps navigation can make precise sorting harder.

Vibration

Vibration is a comfort preference rather than a performance control. Keep it on if feedback helps you notice collisions or vehicle movement. Reduce or disable it if long sorting sessions cause fatigue or if vibration masks subtle stick input. If the game has no vibration slider, use the Xbox controller-accessibility settings to adjust the controller globally, understanding that the change affects other games.

Remapping and accessibility

Do not assume the game includes an internal remapping screen; none is documented. If a particular action is difficult to reach, check the Xbox console’s controller-accessibility options for system-level remapping. Save the original mapping first so you can restore it for other games. A remap can improve reach and comfort, but it may make on-screen button prompts inconsistent with your physical controls.

Wired versus wireless use

Both connection types can work with an Xbox controller. If you experience intermittent input, test a wired connection or fresh batteries before changing game sensitivity. This isolates a connection problem from a control-setting problem. A different controller can be useful for diagnosis, but it will not raise the game’s graphics performance.

Troubleshooting common complaints

“It does not feel like 60 fps.”

No authoritative Xbox frame-rate target is published, so the feeling alone cannot confirm a specific number. Recheck the same busy-yard route, restart the game, disable display motion processing and compare any exposed graphics options. If every option behaves the same, the installed build may simply provide no user-selectable mode.

“The image is blurry.”

Check that the Xbox output resolution matches the display, then disable excessive television smoothing or noise reduction. If the game offers a quality/performance selector, compare image clarity in the same scene. Do not infer an internal resolution from the console’s output setting; the game’s native target is not documented.

“HDR looks washed out.”

Use the television’s correct HDR profile and rerun the Xbox HDR calibration. If the result remains worse than SDR, disable HDR for the game or at the console level. Since a game-specific HDR mode is not published, SDR is a valid fallback rather than evidence of a fault.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

“The controls feel delayed.”

Enable the display’s Game mode, remove unnecessary television processing and test the controller with fresh batteries or a cable. Return camera sensitivity to its baseline before judging input response. If delay occurs only after a long session, quit and relaunch to rule out a temporary state.

“Loading or saving seems inconsistent.”

The developer says the console version includes new, extremely fast save and load logic, but no measured time is supplied. Allow each load to finish before issuing another command, and restart the game if a menu appears stuck. Persistent failures should be reported through the game’s support channel with the console model, game version and steps that reproduce the problem.

Recommended profiles

Profile Use it when Settings approach
Default-first You want a dependable baseline. Default display preset, standard controller layout, moderate camera sensitivity and vibration only if comfortable.
Steadier response Your build exposes a performance-oriented option and busy areas feel uneven. Test the option in the same yard route; keep it only if camera and driving response are consistently better.
Sharper picture You value object and interface clarity more than maximum smoothness. Test a quality-oriented option if present, while accepting that its resolution and frame-rate target are not documented.
Comfort You play long sorting or driving sessions. Lower camera sensitivity until fine movements are controllable, reduce vibration if it causes fatigue and use Game mode on the display.

Why PC requirements do not answer Xbox questions

The Windows PC listing specifies a minimum of 16 GB RAM, an NVIDIA GTX 970 or AMD RX 580-class graphics card with 4 GB of VRAM, and 18 GB of available storage. Those figures describe the PC edition and should not be copied into an Xbox settings guide. The Xbox listing does not publish an installation-size figure, and console memory and storage are managed differently.

PC listing figure Scope Xbox implication
16 GB RAM minimum Windows PC edition Not an Xbox memory requirement.
GTX 970 or RX 580 with 4 GB VRAM minimum Windows PC graphics hardware Not a measure of Series X, Series S or Xbox One performance.
18 GB available storage minimum Windows PC installation Xbox installation size is not stated.

How to check whether your build has changed

Before re-tuning, check the game’s version information on the Xbox manage-game screen and review the current store description. Revisit the in-game display and controller menus after an update, because a patch can add, rename or remove options. If a future developer announcement publishes resolution, frame-rate, HDR or control details, use those version-specific values instead of older assumptions.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Keep a short note of your chosen settings and the scene used for testing. When an update changes the feel, restore the default profile, repeat the route and then adjust one variable at a time. This prevents a television change, controller issue and game update from being mistaken for one another.

Limits you should keep in mind

  • No authoritative Xbox resolution target is currently published.
  • No authoritative Xbox frame-rate target or guaranteed 60-fps mode is currently published.
  • No Series X/S-specific graphics-setting breakdown is currently published.
  • No game-specific HDR mode is currently published.
  • No official button-by-button Xbox control map is currently published.
  • The developer’s performance statement describes optimization work, not a measured result on every console.

For that reason, the best settings are the ones you can verify in your own installed build: begin with defaults, compare any exposed modes in a demanding yard scene, and tune camera and vibration for reliable control.
