How to choose a mobile mouse
Balance packability with hand fit
A mouse that disappears easily into a bag can be convenient but may feel cramped during long sessions. The MX Anywhere 3S is described by RTINGS as compact and symmetrical; the Pebble Mouse 2 M350s is the slimmer option. If possible, try the shape in person or check the return policy. Consider how your fingers rest on the buttons and whether your hand can stay relaxed, not just whether the mouse fits in a pocket.

Match the connection to your laptop
Bluetooth avoids needing a USB receiver, which can be useful on thin laptops with few ports. The MX Anywhere 3S supports Bluetooth and can pair with up to three devices, according to Logitech’s specification sheet. Its standard consumer package supports Logitech’s Bolt receiver, but RTINGS says the receiver is not included; the Business variant is listed with a receiver. Confirm the exact version and box contents if you need a receiver, and make sure your computer supports the connection you plan to use.

Choose the controls your work benefits from
The MX Anywhere 3S has customizable buttons and a scroll wheel that offers notched and free-spin modes, useful for switching between precise movement and longer pages. RTINGS’ independent review notes that the wheel does not have left/right tilt inputs. Its quieter clicks relative to the previous generation may also suit shared spaces. The Pebble is positioned as the simpler option, so weigh whether the MX’s extra controls would actually help your workflow.
Consider charging and battery claims
The MX Anywhere 3S charges over USB-C. Logitech’s 2023 specification sheet says, “MX Anywhere 3S stays powered up to 70 days on a full charge,” and qualifies that estimate: actual battery life varies with user and computing conditions. Treat it as a manufacturer claim, not a guaranteed interval. Compare that rechargeable setup with your preference for replaceable batteries when assessing any alternative.

Think about surfaces and workload
Logitech specifies an 8K DPI optical sensor for the MX Anywhere 3S and says it can track on glass at least 4 mm thick. That is a manufacturer specification, not a guarantee for every glass surface or setup. For ordinary browsing and productivity, RTINGS describes the mouse as suitable; its review lists a maximum polling rate of 125 Hz and says it is not designed for fast-paced competitive gaming. High DPI does not by itself make it a gaming-focused mouse.

Logitech MX Anywhere 3S: more controls for travel work
RTINGS’ recommendations page, updated August 19, 2026, names the MX Anywhere 3S its “Best Wireless Mouse For Travel.” It describes a compact, symmetrical design that can slip into a bag or pocket, along with Bluetooth, multi-device pairing, USB-C charging, customization, and free-scroll mode. RTINGS says it replaced the Razer Pro Click Mini because that model was no longer available; this is the status recorded on that page at the time of its update.

Logitech’s 2023 specification sheet lists compatibility with Windows, macOS, Linux, ChromeOS, iPadOS, and Android. It also says Options+ is required for Flow and additional software customization; the sheet notes basic functions work without that software on listed non-Windows/macOS systems. Check the current compatibility and software requirements for your own setup before relying on a specific feature.
Logitech Pebble Mouse 2 M350s: slimmer and simpler
RTINGS recommends the Pebble Mouse 2 M350s for people who want a simpler, more affordable portable mouse without the MX Anywhere 3S’s premium materials or extra features. Its slim, lightweight form is the main reason to consider it when packing ease takes priority. Android Authority also included it as a small travel choice in a guide published June 5, 2024, but that guide is not evidence of today’s pricing or stock.
