Looking for a good tablet under ₹25K for studying, streaming and everyday multitasking? There isn’t one best choice for everyone: the models below trade off note-taking features, screen size, speakers, cellular connectivity and storage. Prices are dated India listings, not guaranteed checkout prices; confirm the exact variant, stock and final price before buying.
How to choose a tablet for your main use
- For study and handwritten notes: Check pen compatibility and whether the stylus is included. The Lenovo Idea Tab is a study-oriented option, but The Indian Express says its stylus is sold separately.
- For streaming: Compare resolution and speaker setup as well as screen size. The Lenovo Tab Plus is notable for JBL speakers and a built-in kickstand; the Poco Pad 5G and Redmi Pad Pro 5G have larger 12.1-inch, high-resolution displays.
- For mobile internet: Cellular support depends on the specific model and configuration. Check the model number and whether the listing is Wi-Fi-only, LTE or 5G before paying.
- For files and multitasking: Compare RAM and storage on the exact SKU, and check whether storage can be expanded. Specifications help distinguish configurations but do not establish which tablet performs fastest in real use.

Which shortlist fits each kind of buyer?
For students taking notes
Start with the Lenovo Idea Tab if you want a high-resolution 11-inch screen and 256GB storage in the listed 8GB configuration. Budget separately for a compatible stylus unless the retailer’s exact SKU explicitly includes one. The Moto Pad 60 Neo is another possibility because Reliance Digital lists pen-equipped versions, but check whether the listing is Wi-Fi or 5G and what is in the box.

For streaming and casual viewing
Choose based on how you watch. The Lenovo Tab Plus pairs JBL speakers with a built-in kickstand, making it convenient to prop up. For a larger, higher-resolution display, compare the Poco Pad 5G and Redmi Pad Pro 5G, both listed with 12.1-inch 2560 × 1600 screens. A larger screen alone does not establish better audio or overall viewing quality.
For mobile data away from Wi-Fi
The Indian Express reports Wi-Fi and 4G LTE support for OnePlus Pad Go, while NDTV Gadgets 360 lists the Poco Pad 5G and Redmi Pad Pro 5G. Confirm that the exact tablet variant supports the network connection you need; a model family can have separate Wi-Fi and cellular SKUs.

For storage-heavy use and everyday multitasking
Compare memory and storage on the configuration you can actually buy. The listed Lenovo Idea Tab has 8GB RAM and 256GB storage; the OnePlus Pad Go has a reported 256GB option and expansion up to 1TB, while Reliance Digital’s listed Wi-Fi version has 128GB. Redmi Pad 2 is reported in several RAM and storage variants, with microSD expansion reported by 91mobiles for its listed configuration. OnePlus Pad Lite’s storage is listed as non-expandable by 91mobiles.

What to verify before checkout
- Match the full model and configuration. Confirm RAM, storage, display size and whether the listing is Wi-Fi, LTE or 5G.
- Check the final price and stock. The cited prices are dated listings, not guaranteed checkout prices; confirm the retailer’s current listing.
- Confirm what is included. For note-taking, verify stylus compatibility and whether the pen is in the box. For viewing, check whether a stand is built in or would need to be bought separately.
- Check expansion and accessories. Confirm microSD support for the exact model and account for any required accessories in the budget.
What the specifications cannot tell you
The cited pages provide mixed configurations, specifications and some editorial descriptions, but no comparable independent test across this shortlist. They therefore do not establish a fastest tablet or a battery-life winner. Battery capacity in mAh is a specification, not a direct measure of how long a tablet lasts in your use; display settings, workload and other conditions matter.
