For Browserless REST, set scrollPage: true at the top level of the request to scroll the page and trigger lazy loading, then set options.fullPage: true to capture the full page. These are Browserless-specific settings; other screenshot APIs may use different option names. A full-page setting controls how much of the page is captured, but does not necessarily load content that has not yet entered the viewport.
Which settings should you use?
There are two separate jobs: make below-the-fold content load, then include the whole document in the image. For Browserless REST, use both documented options:

scrollPage: trueat the request’s top level scrolls before capture and triggers lazy loading.options.fullPage: truerequests a full-page screenshot.
Do not assume these exact field names work with another provider. Check that API’s documentation and verify the result against the target page. Browserless documents the settings in its Screenshot API reference.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteWhy full-page capture alone may miss lazy content
Full-page capture defines the screenshot’s extent; it is not necessarily a preparation step that visits every part of the page. Pages often defer images or other content until those elements approach or enter the viewport. If the capture process does not trigger that loading behavior first, the final image can include blank spaces or placeholders.

Playwright and Puppeteer both document fullPage: true for capturing the full scrollable page, and both default it to false. Their documentation does not establish full-page capture as a universal substitute for scrolling through the page to trigger lazy loading: Playwright screenshots, Playwright Page API, Puppeteer screenshots, and the Puppeteer screenshot reference.
Set up the capture for the API you use
Browserless REST
- Use the Browserless REST Screenshot API and its documented request format.
- Set the top-level
scrollPagefield totrue. - Set
options.fullPagetotrueif the output should include the whole long page. - Inspect the resulting image, especially sections where the page loads content as the visitor scrolls.
The scroll preparation and full-page capture are complementary: one encourages deferred content to load; the other requests a screenshot extending across the page.

Playwright or Puppeteer
Set fullPage: true in the screenshot call when you need the full scrollable page. If the target relies on viewport entry to load content, first use the browser automation approach documented for your tool and page; the reviewed screenshot references do not prescribe a universal scrolling routine or delay. Do not copy Browserless’s scrollPage field into these tools unless their own API documents it.
Browserless BQL: image waiting is a separate control
If the issue is unloaded images and you use Browserless BQL, its screenshot operation has a separate waitForImages option, which defaults to false. The reference also lists fullPage as defaulting to false and a screenshot timeout default of 30 seconds. Image waiting and full-page capture address different concerns: consult the BQL screenshot operation reference for the precise behavior of the request you are making.

How to choose and verify settings
Before settling on a capture configuration, check the controls your provider actually documents:
- Scroll before capture: Is there an explicit option that scrolls through the page to trigger deferred content?
- Full-page extent: Is full-page capture supported, and is it enabled in your request?
- Image waiting: Can the API wait for images, and is that option separate from scrolling?
- Timing behavior: What navigation wait or timeout applies, and what happens if the page continues loading?
There is no universal scroll distance, pause duration, or stopping condition established for arbitrary pages and screenshot services. Layouts, loading strategies, and interaction requirements differ. Treat numeric scroll steps or delays as implementation-specific choices, then inspect captures of the actual target page rather than assuming one setting will work everywhere.

Troubleshooting missing or incomplete content
The bottom of the page is missing
Check that full-page capture is enabled. In Browserless REST, that means options.fullPage: true; in Playwright and Puppeteer, the documented setting is fullPage: true. Full-page options default to false in the cited Playwright and Puppeteer documentation and in the Browserless BQL reference.
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
The page is full length, but lazy images are blank
Confirm that the capture process triggers the page’s loading behavior before the screenshot. For Browserless REST, enable top-level scrollPage: true. For Browserless BQL, check whether waitForImages is appropriate; it is a separate option and defaults to false. For other tools, use only a documented approach and verify the result.

The capture times out or still misses dynamic content
Check the provider’s navigation and screenshot timeout behavior and whether the page requires more time, an interaction, or a condition beyond scrolling. Browserless BQL’s reference lists a 30-second default screenshot timeout, but that is not a universal timeout for other Browserless interfaces or providers. The cited documentation does not establish a single timeout or wait condition that suits every page.
A setting is rejected or has no effect
Verify the endpoint and request schema. Browserless REST places scrollPage at the top level and fullPage inside options; similar-looking APIs may organize these fields differently or may not support them. Use the exact option names documented for the service you call.
