The right choice depends on where your players live, how large your save is, how many people will play simultaneously, and what the provider actually allocates for memory, CPU, backups and support. GTX Gaming, Shockbyte and Nitrado all advertise Satisfactory-specific hosting, but their publicly visible details are not presented on a consistent enough basis for a reliable performance or value ranking.
Use this guide to match a paid, always-on server to your group. Treat provider claims as claims to verify at checkout, especially for regional pricing, hardware allocation, backup retention and cancellation rights.

What Satisfactory dedicated-server hosting provides
A dedicated Satisfactory server runs the game world continuously on a separate machine instead of requiring one player’s computer to stay online. Players connect to the same persistent save, so the host does not have to be present for others to build, explore or automate.
Satisfactory supports both rented servers and self-administration. The dedicated-server software is distributed through SteamCMD, through the Steam client’s tools section, or as a free add-on in the Epic Games Store. A hosting company handles the machine, network connection and management interface; you remain responsible for the save, access permissions, updates and configuration.

- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Renting is usually most attractive when your group wants a world available around the clock without maintaining a home computer, configuring a router or dealing with power and broadband outages. Self-hosting can offer more control and avoid a recurring hosting bill, but the requirements documentation says a home server needs broadband internet and either port forwarding or a VPN. You also have to provide the hardware, operating-system maintenance, backups and security.
Official requirements to use as your baseline
The dedicated-server requirements documentation recommends, rather than guarantees, the following baseline. Actual needs vary with the size of the save, simulation activity and number of concurrent players.
Recommended Free Tools
| Requirement | Documented guidance | How to apply it when renting |
|---|---|---|
| Memory | 8 GB RAM is recommended. The documentation says 16 GB may be appropriate for larger saves or more than four players. | Confirm the plan’s actual allocated RAM, not just its advertised player-slot count. Start at 8 GB for a small group and consider 16 GB when your factory or player count is larger. |
| Processor | A recent x86-64 CPU with strong single-core performance is recommended. | Ask what CPU generation or vCPU allocation the plan uses. More nominal cores do not automatically compensate for weak single-core speed. |
| Storage | The requirements table lists 12.4 GB for Windows server files and 8 GB for Linux server files. | These are software-storage figures in that reference and can change. Leave additional space for saves, logs, updates and backups. |
| Operating system | Windows 10/11 and Windows Server 2016, 2019 and 2022 are listed, along with Linux distributions such as Debian and Ubuntu. | Managed hosts may conceal the operating system. If you self-host, use a supported, maintained release and keep it patched. |
| Network | Broadband internet is required. Home hosting may require port forwarding or a VPN. | For a rental, check the data-center location and network policy. Location relative to your players generally matters more than a large advertised slot number. |
The 8 GB and 16 GB figures are recommendations in the official documentation, not promises that every save or player count will run acceptably at those levels. A heavily developed factory can need more headroom than a new world with the same number of players.
Which providers currently offer Satisfactory hosting?
The available provider pages establish that three services have Satisfactory-specific products. They do not establish a common hardware specification, price basis or independent performance result, so the table is a verification checklist rather than a ranking.
| Provider | What is publicly indicated | What you must verify before paying |
|---|---|---|
| GTX Gaming | Advertises a Satisfactory-specific offer, a control panel, 19 worldwide locations, daily automatic backups and a 24-hour refund offer. The provider page also describes setup and save upload. | Current price and included resources in your region; CPU allocation; exact backup retention and whether downloads are available; the conditions and deadline for the 24-hour refund. |
| Shockbyte | Advertises a Satisfactory-specific offer. A search result mentions 6 GB RAM, but the available excerpt does not identify the plan context. | Current plan configuration, whether the 6 GB figure still applies and to which tier, CPU details, location, price, backup and save-export facilities, and refund terms. Do not treat the excerpt as a definitive specification. |
| Nitrado | Advertises a Satisfactory-specific offer. Its page snippet says the active game can be switched and that a server can support up to five games. | Current price, memory and CPU allocation, available locations, how switching affects saves and billing, backup controls, and cancellation or refund terms for your billing period. |
None of these entries should be read as an independent uptime, latency or performance result. No hands-on testing or independent measurements establish a categorical winner.
Match the server to your group
Start with player geography
Choose the data center closest to most players, not necessarily the country of the person who pays. If your group is split across continents, select a central region or prioritize the players who are online most often. A host with many locations is useful only if one of those locations is available at a sensible price and has adequate hardware.

Ask whether the displayed location is the physical game server or merely the billing region. Also check whether you can move the server later without losing the save or paying a migration fee.
Estimate memory from the save and player count
Use 8 GB as the documented starting point for a modest group. Plan toward 16 GB when more than four players will regularly connect or when the save contains a large, mature factory. Do not infer capacity from slots alone: a plan may advertise many connections while providing limited memory or a weak CPU.
Prioritize single-core CPU information
Satisfactory simulation work can be sensitive to single-thread speed. A provider that lists only “X CPU cores” leaves an important question unanswered. Request the CPU model, generation, or a clear vCPU policy, and ask whether resources are dedicated, shared or subject to an oversell policy. If support cannot explain the allocation, treat the specification as uncertain rather than assuming the largest core count is best.
Allow storage and growth headroom
The documented server files occupy 12.4 GB on Windows or 8 GB on Linux in the cited requirements table. Those numbers can change with updates and do not include multiple save copies, logs or provider snapshots. Select a plan with room for at least one working save plus downloadable backups, and monitor disk usage after major game updates.

A daily backup claim is useful only if you know how long copies are retained and whether you can download them. Before ordering, look for:
- Automatic backup frequency and retention period.
- A manual “back up now” control before updates or major construction changes.
- Direct save-file download, not just an opaque restore button.
- A documented restore process and the ability to choose a particular backup.
- Permission to upload a save from another host or a self-hosted installation.
- Clear handling of backups when you cancel or switch games.
GTX Gaming reports daily automatic backups, but the available provider information does not establish retention length or export details. Confirm both before treating that feature as protection against data loss. For any host, keep an independent local copy of the save. A provider account suspension, accidental deletion or billing problem should not be the only failure scenario you plan for.

Control panels, support and administration
A managed panel should let you start and stop the server, view logs, change the game version when supported, manage access and upload or restore saves. Check whether the panel exposes configuration files or only a limited set of toggles. Determine which actions require a support ticket and what support hours and response channels apply.
Ask specifically how an update is scheduled. Satisfactory updates can require a restart, and an automatic update during an active session can interrupt play. A useful service lets you announce maintenance, stop the server cleanly and restore a known save if an update causes trouble.
For a group with several administrators, verify whether the panel supports separate accounts or role-based access. Sharing one master password makes it harder to audit changes and increases the damage from a compromised account.
Price comparisons that do not mislead
The available search results do not provide a uniform price comparison. Hosting prices can change by region, currency, billing term, introductory promotion and resource tier. Compare the amount charged for the renewal term, not only a first-month discount.
Record the following from each provider’s checkout page:
- Monthly equivalent and the actual amount charged for the selected term.
- RAM, CPU policy, disk allowance and any traffic or backup limits.
- Setup fees, taxes and currency-conversion charges for your location.
- Renewal price after any introductory period.
- Cancellation deadline, refund window and eligibility conditions.
- Charges for changing location, upgrading resources or transferring a save.
GTX Gaming’s provider page reports a 24-hour refund offer, but that is a provider-stated term updated 7 October 2026, not an independently verified guarantee. Confirm the current wording and exclusions at checkout. The available information does not establish equivalent refund terms for Shockbyte or Nitrado.

How to choose among the three offers
Choose GTX Gaming when its live details fit your region
Its reported 19 locations may help geographically distributed groups, and the published page describes a control panel, save upload and daily automatic backups. Those are useful operational features if the nearest location has adequate CPU and the backup retention and refund conditions meet your needs. Verify all of those details rather than relying on the headline claims.
Consider Shockbyte only after resolving the memory ambiguity
The search excerpt mentioning 6 GB RAM is below the official 8 GB recommendation, but the excerpt does not identify the plan or establish that the figure is current. Treat it as a prompt to inspect the live configuration. If the selected tier supplies at least the memory your save needs and clearly states CPU, location, backups and export access, it can remain on your shortlist; otherwise, move to a better-documented tier or provider.
Evaluate Nitrado’s game-switching feature carefully
The provider snippet says the active game can be switched and that up to five games can be supported per server. This may suit someone who wants to rotate games, but confirm whether switching preserves Satisfactory saves, changes the price, consumes a separate allocation or requires downtime. A multi-game feature is not evidence of better Satisfactory simulation performance.
Buying and provisioning checklist
- List the group. Count expected concurrent players, identify the largest existing save and note where players are located.
- Set a resource floor. Use the official 8 GB recommendation as a starting point; plan for 16 GB for a larger save or more than four players, and require meaningful CPU information.
- Shortlist nearby regions. Remove plans that do not offer a practical location or that make relocation difficult.
- Inspect the full checkout configuration. Capture RAM, CPU policy, storage, backup frequency, retention, save download and upload, support channel and renewal price.
- Read cancellation terms. Confirm refund timing, exclusions and what happens to your files after cancellation.
- Order the smallest suitable tier. Avoid paying for slots or resources your group cannot use, but leave memory and disk headroom for growth.
- Secure the account. Use a unique password, enable available multi-factor authentication and limit panel access to trusted administrators.
- Upload and preserve the save. Keep a local copy, upload through the provider’s documented method and verify that the server opens the expected world before inviting everyone.
- Test at the normal peak time. Have several players perform ordinary building, exploration and logistics work. Record lag, crashes and memory or CPU indicators exposed by the panel.
- Reassess before renewal. Compare actual usage and incidents with the renewal price, then upgrade, relocate or migrate while you still possess a working save export.
Moving an existing save to a rented server
Save migration is provider-specific, but the safe sequence is consistent. Stop the original server or host, make a dated copy of the save, and do not overwrite that copy. Use the new host’s upload control or file manager, place the file in the documented save directory, and start the server. Confirm the world name, player access and recent progress before deleting anything at the old location.
If the provider does not offer direct save download, treat that as a serious limitation. You may be unable to leave without rebuilding or opening a support ticket. Ask support to explain the exact export format and whether cloud backups can be downloaded independently of the hosting account.
Troubleshooting common failures
Players cannot connect
Check that the server is running, the address and port are correct, and the game versions match. For a home server, verify port forwarding or VPN configuration; for a rented server, ask support whether a firewall, maintenance window or location outage is affecting the endpoint.
Best Value

The server becomes slow as the factory grows
Check memory and CPU indicators if the panel exposes them. A save that began comfortably at 8 GB may need more headroom as production lines and vehicles accumulate. Upgrade memory and seek stronger single-core CPU allocation rather than adding slots alone. If the provider cannot state what CPU you receive, request a move to a less-contended node or compare another host.

Stop making changes, preserve the current save and restore the last known-good backup. Document the game version and configuration before contacting support. A manual backup immediately before updates makes this recovery much safer than relying solely on an automatic daily copy.
You want to change providers
Download the newest verified save and at least one older backup, export configuration notes and record the current game version. Build the replacement server, upload the save, test access with one or two players, and keep the old service running until the new one is confirmed. Do not cancel first if the provider’s post-cancellation file-retention policy is unclear.
What this evidence can—and cannot—prove
The provider offers are real Satisfactory-specific options, but the available material does not provide independent uptime figures, latency measurements, satisfaction statistics or a controlled performance comparison. It also does not disclose comparable regional prices, CPU allocations, backup retention or refund terms for all three providers. Consequently, a “best” label should be treated as a fit decision based on verified checkout details, not as a permanent ranking.
For most groups, the practical decision rule is simple: choose the nearby plan that clearly meets the memory recommendation, explains its CPU allocation, gives you downloadable backups and save migration, and remains affordable at renewal. If any of those facts are missing, ask the provider before paying or select a plan with clearer documentation.
