For serious camping and selected home essentials, a 2,048Wh LiFePO4 power station is the most useful comparison class. The EcoFlow DELTA 2 Max is the lightest of these four at 23kg; the Anker SOLIX F2000 has a documented 20ms UPS; the Jackery Explorer 2000 Plus has the longest published cycle-life claim; and the BLUETTI AC200L offers the largest expansion potential. None is automatically best for every home or campsite: continuous wattage, startup surge, usable watt-hours, transfer behavior, weight, charging options and regional specifications decide the fit.
A 2,048Wh label does not mean 2,048Wh will reach your appliances. Inverter losses, conversion overhead, battery reserve and the appliance’s duty cycle reduce runtime. Use the calculations and model-specific limits below before buying or connecting a refrigerator, CPAP, modem, heater, cooking appliance or pump.

| Published long-term cycle retention matters most | Jackery support documentation rates the Explorer 2000 Plus LiFePO4 battery at 6,000 cycles while retaining at least 70% capacity. | That is a manufacturer rating, not independent testing; verify the output and voltage version for your region. |
| You want the greatest documented expandable capacity | BLUETTI materials describe expansion to 8,192Wh with two B300 batteries. | The cited specification is from a Spanish regional manual, so confirm sockets, voltage, firmware and availability before a US purchase. |
What the numbers mean
Watt-hours determine duration
Watt-hours (Wh) describe stored energy. A 100W load running for 10 hours uses about 1,000Wh. The actual calculation is:

A planning estimate of 85% usable energy allows for inverter and conversion losses. On a 2,048Wh station, that leaves roughly 1,740Wh for AC loads. This is an estimate, not a guarantee from any particular model. A refrigerator cycles on and off, so its average draw may be far below the compressor’s running draw; a heater or kettle usually draws close to its nameplate wattage continuously.
Continuous watts determine what can run
The inverter must support the appliance’s running wattage. The Anker manual, for example, specifies a 2,400W AC limit. EcoFlow lists 2,400W total AC output, while the BLUETTI regional manual lists 2,500W maximum off-grid AC+DC output. Do not add loads until the combined running watts remain below the station’s continuous rating.
Surge watts determine whether motors start
Compressors, pumps, refrigerators and freezers can draw several times their running wattage for a fraction of a second. EcoFlow lists a 4,800W surge figure. A station can have enough Wh for a refrigerator yet still shut down if the compressor’s starting surge exceeds its inverter. Check the appliance label or manufacturer specification for both running and starting watts, and leave headroom for other devices starting at the same time.
UPS and home wiring are different things
A UPS or EPS function protects equipment plugged into the station’s outlets. It does not make the station a whole-house generator. Transfer time, grounding, pass-through charging and neutral behavior vary by model. Connecting a station to a wall outlet or a home circuit without an approved transfer solution can backfeed utility wiring and create a lethal hazard. Use individual appliance cords or a properly installed transfer device and follow local electrical rules.

EcoFlow states that the battery can complete 3,000 cycles while retaining 80% or more capacity. It can accept up to two extra batteries, making it suitable when a weekend’s loads are manageable at 2kWh but multi-day backup needs more storage. The product page describes “AC Always On Mode” as keeping the power button active during outages and recovery so appliances stay on. Treat that wording as a product claim rather than a measured transfer-time specification; test the exact appliance you intend to protect.
Jackery Explorer 2000 Plus
The Explorer 2000 Plus is an expandable station built around a LiFePO4 battery. Jackery support documentation states that it is rated to retain at least 70% capacity after up to 6,000 charging cycles. That is the highest cycle count in this comparison, but it is a manufacturer rating under its stated test conditions and should not be read as an independent endurance result.
Jackery’s support material says that during a sudden power failure, connected equipment can continue using the station’s remaining battery capacity. The cited notes do not establish a universal transfer time, AC wattage, surge rating, solar ceiling, weight or outlet layout. Confirm the exact US or other regional listing before relying on it for a refrigerator, medical device or RV receptacle, because voltage and socket combinations can differ between markets.
Anker SOLIX F2000 (PowerHouse 767)
The SOLIX F2000 documentation specifies 2,048Wh of cell capacity, 2,400W maximum AC output and up to 1,000W solar input. Its 20ms UPS is the clearest documented transfer figure in this group, making it the easiest of these models to evaluate for a modem, networking equipment or other device that cannot tolerate a noticeable interruption. Expansion raises total capacity to 4,096Wh when the compatible expansion battery is paired.
The manual lists 100W USB-C ports for high-power laptop or USB-C device charging. It also gives a specific CPAP instruction: turn Power Saving mode off, otherwise the station may shut down when the machine’s draw is low. For storage, Anker instructs owners to turn off outputs, keep the station in a cool, dry environment, check its capacity weekly, charge fully if it falls below 30%, and charge to 100% once every three months.

- What You Get: Anker USB-C Hub (7-in-1), welcome guide, 18-month warranty, and our friendly customer service.
BLUETTI AC200L
BLUETTI’s materials describe a much larger expansion path than the other listed stations: two B300 batteries can raise total capacity to 8,192Wh. The cited regional manual lists 2,048Wh LiFePO4 capacity, 2,400W maximum AC+DC/PV input, 2,500W maximum off-grid AC+DC output and a 28.3kg weight.
Those figures come from a Spanish regional manual. Do not assume its outlet shapes, voltage, firmware behavior or charging limits apply to a US unit. Confirm the exact regional model before purchase, especially if you need a 120V household outlet, an RV TT-30R connection or a particular solar-panel voltage range.
How much capacity do you need?
Calculate each essential load
- Read the running watts from the appliance label or power meter.
- Multiply running watts by the hours you expect to use the device.
- Add a separate allowance for motor startup; do not treat surge watts as energy consumed for the entire hour.
- Multiply the total by about 1.15 to account for conversion losses when making an initial plan, or use a more conservative margin if the station will be cold, heavily loaded or powering mixed AC and DC equipment.
- Keep the resulting continuous load below the inverter’s rating and verify that the highest simultaneous startup event fits the surge rating.
Illustrative 2,048Wh example
Using the 85% usable-energy planning assumption above gives approximately 1,740Wh available to AC loads. The following examples are arithmetic illustrations, not measured runtimes:
| Load | Assumed draw and use | Energy used | Approximate share of 1,740Wh |
|---|---|---|---|
| Refrigerator | 80W average over 24 hours, after cycling | 1,920Wh before losses | More than one day; a 2kWh station would need a lower average or shorter outage |
| Refrigerator | 60W average over 24 hours | 1,440Wh before losses | About one day, leaving limited energy for other loads |
| CPAP | 40W for 8 hours | 320Wh | Roughly 18% of the planning allowance |
| Modem and router | 12W for 24 hours | 288Wh | Roughly 17% |
| LED lighting | 10W for 5 hours | 50Wh | Roughly 3% |
A refrigerator averaging 60W, a 40W CPAP for eight hours and a 12W modem/router for a full day would consume about 2,048Wh before inverter losses over 24 hours. In practice, you would need either a larger station, shorter daily use, solar replenishment or a lower measured refrigerator average. Measure the refrigerator across several hours because compressor duty cycle changes with room temperature, door openings and contents.
Can one station run a refrigerator, CPAP and modem?
Yes, if their simultaneous running draw and the refrigerator’s compressor surge fit the inverter, but the 2,048Wh battery may not last a full day at the example loads. Connect the modem and CPAP through the UPS or AC outlets only if their transfer and waveform requirements are acceptable; use DC outputs where the equipment supports them to avoid an additional AC conversion. Turn off nonessential screens, chargers and lighting, and monitor the station’s remaining Wh rather than assuming the nameplate capacity is usable.

Setting up home backup safely
1. Make a priority list
Start with communications, refrigeration, lighting, CPAP equipment and small tools. Resist adding kettles, space heaters, hair dryers or induction cookers until you have checked their high continuous draw; a single heating appliance can consume most of a 2,400W inverter.
2. Record running and startup watts
Use the appliance label or a plug-in meter for running consumption. For refrigerators, freezers, pumps and other motors, obtain a startup figure or use a meter that captures inrush. Add the largest likely startup events together and compare them with the station’s surge specification.
3. Select the connection method
For a portable setup, plug individual appliances into the station and keep cords rated for the load. For selected household circuits, have a qualified electrician install an approved transfer solution. Never energize a wall outlet from the station with a homemade male-to-male cord, and never assume a UPS label authorizes backfeeding a panel.
4. Test before an outage
Run the refrigerator, modem and medical equipment together for at least one complete compressor cycle. Confirm that the CPAP stays on overnight with Anker’s Power Saving mode disabled when using the SOLIX F2000. Check whether pass-through charging, fan noise and display behavior are acceptable in the room where the station will operate.
5. Reserve energy for the outage length
Keep a written schedule for compressor loads, CPAP hours, networking and lighting. If a storm may last several days, recharge during daylight and avoid draining the battery completely before solar conditions improve.

Using a 2kWh station for camping
Camping decisions differ from blackout decisions. Carry weight, handles and wheels, idle draw, low-temperature limits, USB-C output and solar practicality often matter more than the largest surge number. EcoFlow’s documented 23kg weight is an advantage when the station must be moved frequently; the BLUETTI figure of 28.3kg may be more manageable when it stays at a base camp.
Match cooking and cooling loads
A portable refrigerator can run for a long time if its average draw is modest, but an electric kettle, hot plate or induction cooker can consume 1,000W or more while operating. Add only one high-draw appliance at a time unless the combined running watts and startup margin fit the inverter. A 2,400W station is not a promise that every 2,400W device will run comfortably in heat, at altitude or alongside another load.
Plan the solar array realistically
The 1,000W maximum solar figures listed for EcoFlow and Anker are input ceilings, not guaranteed field production. Panel rating, sun angle, shading, temperature, cable losses and the station’s voltage/current window determine actual charging. Set panels where they receive uninterrupted midday sun, use the manufacturer-approved cable and stop if connectors or cables become hot. The BLUETTI manual’s combined AC+DC/PV input figure should not be interpreted as its PV-only limit without checking the regional manual.
Recommended Free Tools
Use USB-C and DC outputs where possible
Charging a phone, camera or laptop through a suitable USB-C or DC port avoids an AC inverter conversion. The Anker documentation specifically lists 100W USB-C ports. For the other models, verify the port’s voltage and wattage before connecting a laptop or camera battery charger. If an RV needs a TT-30R receptacle, confirm that the exact regional unit provides it or use a correctly rated, compatible cable; the cited materials do not establish a universal TT-30R outlet on these stations.
Charging choices and expansion
AC charging is usually the predictable option at home or a campground, solar is useful during a prolonged outage, and vehicle charging is valuable when panels are unavailable. Compare the manufacturer’s stated charging rate with your available circuit and remember that maximum input can be shared between AC and solar. A larger expansion battery increases runtime but also adds weight, cost and charging time; it does not increase the inverter’s continuous-watt limit unless the manufacturer explicitly says so.
EcoFlow supports up to two extra batteries, Anker reaches 4,096Wh with one expansion battery, and BLUETTI documents 8,192Wh with two B300 batteries. Jackery describes the Explorer 2000 Plus as expandable but the cited material does not state its maximum expanded capacity. Buy expansion batteries from the same compatible series and verify firmware and regional compatibility before combining units.
Battery life, storage and environmental limits
LiFePO4 chemistry is used or documented across these products, but cycle figures use different end points: EcoFlow states 3,000 cycles to at least 80% capacity, while Jackery states up to 6,000 cycles to at least 70%. Those numbers are not directly comparable because the retained-capacity thresholds differ, and neither figure is an independent test.

The cited materials do not provide a common temperature table, so do not infer that one model’s cold-weather behavior applies to another. Before long-term storage, turn outputs off. Quick Recap
Which station fits your situation?
- Frequent car-to-campsite moves: start with the 23kg EcoFlow DELTA 2 Max, then compare its outlet mix and local warranty with your needs.
- Networking equipment or other sensitive electronics: the Anker SOLIX F2000 has the clearest documented 20ms UPS specification, but test the actual device and disable Power Saving for CPAP use.
- Long service-life planning: Jackery’s 6,000-cycle, 70%-capacity claim is notable, yet it remains a manufacturer rating and does not replace checking regional output details.
- Multi-day base-camp or extended outage: BLUETTI’s documented 8,192Wh expansion is the largest here; confirm that the Spanish regional manual’s voltage and sockets match your location.
- Refrigerator-only emergency use: measure average and startup watts first. A lower-watt refrigerator with a predictable duty cycle may be a better match than choosing solely by battery size.
- RV use: verify a true TT-30R outlet, voltage, grounding and continuous wattage on the exact regional listing before connecting an RV shore-power cable.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Choosing by Wh alone and ignoring inverter wattage or compressor surge.
- Assuming a “UPS” or “always on” label means every appliance will experience the same transfer time.
- Using a station to energize household wiring without an approved transfer device.
- Treating a 1,000W solar-input ceiling as a guaranteed 1,000W harvest in real weather.
- Running a CPAP in a low-power mode that allows the station to shut down; the Anker manual specifically requires Power Saving mode to be off.
- Assuming a regional manual’s sockets, voltage or firmware apply to a different market.
- Leaving a stored battery unattended for months without checking its charge level and following the model’s maintenance schedule.
