For Poison-type raid damage, start with Mega Victreebel or Mega Gengar, then consider Eternatus, Mega Beedrill, and Nihilego. Rankings checked on October 7, 2026, put Mega Victreebel and Mega Gengar near the top, but the order depends on each simulator’s scoring and settings—not an official universal ranking. These Pokémon are useful only when the raid boss is weak to Poison.
Which Poison attackers should you consider?
Two ranking tools consulted place Mega Victreebel and Mega Gengar among the leading Poison-damage attackers. Eternatus, Mega Beedrill, and Nihilego are also strong options in at least one of those lists. The specific positions vary, so treat this as a practical shortlist rather than a definitive order.

| Attacker | Reported Poison-damage moves | What the rankings indicate |
|---|---|---|
| Mega Victreebel | Acid / Acid Spray+ | First in the Dittobase eDPS ranking and Pokémon GO Hub ranking consulted. Dittobase; Pokémon GO Hub. |
| Mega Gengar | Lick / Sludge Bomb | Second in Dittobase’s ranking and near the top in Pokémon GO Hub’s. Dittobase; Pokémon GO Hub. |
| Eternatus | Poison Jab / Sludge Bomb | Third in Dittobase’s ranking and also high in the Hub’s ranking and a Poison-move simulator list. Dittobase; Pokémon GO Hub; Pokebattler. |
| Mega Beedrill | Poison Jab / Sludge Bomb | Fifth in Dittobase’s ranking and third in Pokémon GO Hub’s. Dittobase; Pokémon GO Hub. |
| Nihilego | Poison Jab / Sludge Bomb | Among Pokémon GO Hub’s leading choices; its moveset is also listed on its Pokémon GO Hub page. Pokémon GO Hub; Nihilego moveset. |
Dittobase’s general ranking also includes Shadow Regigigas, with Hidden Power Poison / Crush Grip, while Pokémon GO Hub includes Shadow Overqwil among its leading options. Those entries reflect different inclusion settings and ranking methods; they are not a reason to assume every listed Pokémon is a dedicated Poison specialist. Dittobase; Pokémon GO Hub.

Each ranking depends on what the calculator includes and how it values performance. Dittobase describes its eDPS as combining damage output with relobby downtime, and lets users configure factors such as Mega and Shadow inclusion, off-type coverage, weather, friendship, and Party Power. Pokémon GO Hub displays DPS, TDO, and a score, with its own configuration choices. Their outputs should not be combined into one precise cross-site ranking because the metrics and assumptions are not established as identical. Dittobase; Pokémon GO Hub.

Check the raid boss and moves before investing
A Poison attacker is a matchup choice, not a best-for-every-raid Pokémon. First confirm that the boss is weak to Poison; the consulted rankings score performance against Poison-weak targets rather than every raid boss. Then check that your Pokémon has the reported moves. Move availability can change, so verify the current options in-game before spending resources. Dittobase; Pokebattler.
- Look up the specific raid boss’s weaknesses and choose Poison only if it is an appropriate counter type.
- Compare your available attackers with the shortlist, accounting for the calculator settings relevant to your raid group and roster.
- Inspect each candidate’s fast and charged moves in-game. The combinations listed above are those reported by the cited rankings and moveset page, not a guarantee that a move is currently selectable for every player.
- Check current in-game events or official announcements for acquisition opportunities; current availability for every Pokémon on the shortlist is not established here.
What this list does—and does not—cover
This is a general raid-attacker guide, not a boss-by-boss counter simulation or a PvP ranking for Great, Ultra, or Master League. “Poison-type attacker” can mean a Poison-type Pokémon or any Pokémon using a Poison-type attack; simulator pages may use the latter definition. Confirm which filter a list uses before comparing its entries.

The ranking snapshot was checked October 7, 2026, and Dittobase says its page was updated October 6, 2026. Pokémon GO updates, move changes, and simulator settings can shift results. The official Pokémon GO page confirms Toxtricity is Electric- and Poison-type, but its cited double-damage bonus applied only to an event from November 25–29, 2024, for eligible completed-research participants; that historical bonus is not a current raid benefit.
