Dodo, Kogan Internet and SpinTel were notable NBN 750 options in a September 2026 comparison, but none is a universal winner. Dodo was that comparison’s overall pick; Kogan had the longest introductory discount among the three, while SpinTel advertised a lower entry price. Check your address, busy-period speeds and the full ongoing cost before choosing: the offers below are a dated snapshot, not live quotes or independent performance tests.
What changed from the old 250Mbps tier?
NBN Co’s Home Superfast wholesale tier changed from 250/25 Mbps to 750/50 Mbps in September 2025. NBN Co described the change as tripling the wholesale download speed and doubling upload speed. The former 250/25 Mbps tier is the predecessor, not a speed every household was automatically upgraded to. The wholesale tier also does not guarantee the speed a particular customer will experience. NBN Co’s announcement explains the change; its current speed-plan information lists Home Superfast at 750 Mbps.

Which providers lead in the September 2026 comparison?
Tom’s Guide’s comparison, published September 21, 2026, named Dodo its best overall NBN 750 pick and also highlighted Kogan Internet and SpinTel. The offers and speed figures below are what that comparison reported at the time; prices and terms can change, so confirm them with the provider before ordering. “Best overall” is the publication’s editorial assessment, not a result that applies to every address or household. See the dated comparison.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems| Provider | Offer reported in September 2026 | What the comparison reported | Consider if |
|---|---|---|---|
| Dodo | AU$69.99/month for 6 months, then AU$99.99/month | Named “best overall” by Tom’s Guide | You are weighing the comparison’s overall assessment against the ongoing rate and your own address eligibility. |
| Kogan Internet | AU$84.90/month for 12 months, then AU$94.90/month | Typical evening speeds listed as 740 Mbps down and 42 Mbps up | A longer introductory discount matters to you; confirm current terms, including any price-pledge conditions. |
| SpinTel | AU$69/month for 6 months, then AU$94.95/month | Provider claim of up to 750 Mbps down | You are attracted by the reported introductory price, while treating the maximum speed as a claim rather than a measured result. |
The comparison cautions that NBN 750 performance data had not yet been accurately measured for the tier. Its figures are not independent test results, and SpinTel’s “up to” claim is not evidence of the speed a particular home will receive.

How to compare plans for your address
- Check eligibility. Enter your exact address in the provider’s availability checker. NBN 750 access is address- and provider-dependent; the comparison describes the plans as available on FTTP and HFC, but check what technology serves your premises and whether the specific plan can be ordered there.
- Compare busy-period speeds. Look for the provider’s stated typical evening download and upload speeds, usually measured for the busy period from 7pm to 11pm. Keep provider claims separate from independent measurements. A 750Mbps tier label is not itself a typical evening speed. Tom’s Guide explains its provider comparison factors in its provider methodology.
- Work out the cost beyond the promotion. Compare the introductory and ongoing monthly rates and calculate the first 12 months using the advertised schedule. Also check minimum cost, setup or delivery fees, modem requirements or charges, cancellation terms, and any price changes stated during checkout.
- Check service and inclusions. Review how the provider handles support and outages, and what evidence supports any service-quality claims. Confirm whether unlimited data, a router, mesh equipment or temporary speed upgrades are included, optional or conditional.
Who is likely to benefit from NBN 750?
Home Superfast is most relevant to households that want substantial download capacity shared across simultaneous users and devices. If your household would not benefit from more than a lower tier, the higher speed label alone is not a reason to pay more. A faster NBN plan also does not, by itself, fix Wi-Fi dead zones, latency, weak upload performance or problems elsewhere in a provider’s network.
