Meta says getting started is free and that paid subscriptions are planned. That does not mean the Instagram feature is available to every business or that its future paid terms are known. Treat Business Agent as an option to check for account eligibility, not as a broadly available replacement for a dedicated support platform.
In the same June 2026 announcement, Meta said more than one million businesses were using Business Agent on WhatsApp and Messenger. Meta also reported more than one billion active threads with businesses on WhatsApp, Messenger, and Instagram every day.
