Start with an Xbox-compatible controller, use your monitor’s native resolution, and begin with the game’s default or recommended preset. Then change one demanding graphics option at a time while replaying the same scene. That is the most defensible setup for Vasya Run because no official PC benchmark, named GPU requirement, target frame rate, preset list, or ray-tracing guidance has been published.
Vasya Run is listed on Steam as coming soon. The store page recommends a controller and reports full controller support for the game, while SteamDB records a separate Windows demo with partial controller support. Settings and input behavior can therefore differ between the demo and the eventual release.

- Choose the default or recommended graphics preset if the build provides one.
- Set the display resolution to your monitor’s native resolution.
- Play the same short section for several minutes and watch for uneven frame pacing, stutter, blur, or input delay.
- If performance is unstable, lower the most expensive visible effect by one step, apply the change, and replay that section.
- Set a frame-rate limit that suits your display if a cap is available. Do not assume a particular FPS target until you have measured what your own PC can sustain.
- Adjust controller sensitivity, dead zones, and camera speed only when those controls are actually exposed by your build.
This is a repeatable tuning method, not a claim that Vasya Run has been benchmarked at these settings. The currently published information does not identify a graphics card model, VRAM requirement, resolution target, frame-rate target, upscaling mode, or ray-tracing option.

What the published PC requirements actually say
The Windows requirements on the Steam listing provide memory figures but leave the processor and graphics fields generic. “CORE” and “RTX” are labels rather than named CPU or GPU models, so they cannot be used to identify a minimum graphics card.

If your PC has less than 8 GB of system memory, it is below the published minimum. Having 16 GB satisfies the listed recommendation, but it still does not predict performance because the graphics requirement is unspecified.
Controller or keyboard and mouse?
Why a controller is the default choice
The official Steam description says, “The developers recommend playing this game with a controller.” The same listing names Xbox controllers and states full controller support for the game. For a first playthrough, an Xbox-compatible wired or wireless gamepad is therefore the least speculative input choice.
Controller recommendation does not mean every controller feature is identical in every build. SteamDB’s record for the separate Windows demo lists partial controller support. The demo may lack prompts, mappings, vibration behavior, or menu navigation that appear in the final release.

Initial controller setup
- Connect the controller before launching Vasya Run. A wired connection is useful for eliminating wireless pairing or battery issues during testing.
- Confirm that Windows sees the device and that the analog sticks and triggers respond in another game or the operating system’s controller test.
- Launch Vasya Run and check the input or controls menu. Note whether prompts show Xbox-style button names and whether the game offers a controller layout.
- Play with the default layout first. Change only one option at a time so you can tell whether a new sensitivity or dead-zone value helped.
- If the game provides a vibration toggle, enable or disable it according to preference; do not treat vibration as a performance setting.
Dead zones and stick drift
A dead zone filters tiny stick movements. If the camera or character moves while your thumb is off the stick, increase the affected stick’s dead zone gradually until the drift stops. If aiming or camera movement feels reluctant near the center, the dead zone is too large; reduce it in small steps. Use the smallest value that eliminates drift, because a large dead zone makes precise movement less responsive.
Sensitivity and camera speed
Begin with the default sensitivity. Lower it if small thumb movements produce excessive camera rotation, especially when lining up platforming or traversal. Raise it only when you repeatedly run out of stick travel before completing a turn. Test horizontal and vertical camera movement separately if the build exposes separate sliders.
Using keyboard and mouse
The canonical Steam information does not publish keyboard bindings, mouse behavior, or a recommended keyboard-and-mouse layout. If the build presents those controls, record the defaults before remapping and verify every action in a safe area. If no keyboard prompts appear or an action is missing, that is a build limitation to report rather than a setting that can be inferred from the controller layout.

1. Start from a known baseline
Open the video or graphics menu and select the default or recommended preset if one exists. Take a screenshot or write down the values before changing anything. A baseline lets you reverse a change that introduces shimmering, excessive blur, hitching, or input delay.

2. Use native resolution first
Set the game to the monitor’s native resolution. This gives you a clear reference for image quality and prevents a low-resolution scaling mode from being mistaken for a weak GPU. If the game offers a separate display-mode choice, test exclusive fullscreen, borderless fullscreen, and windowed mode only after the baseline is stable; the best option depends on your Windows setup and how the build handles focus changes.
3. Check the display refresh and synchronization options
If a refresh-rate selector is available, choose a rate your monitor supports. If the game offers vertical synchronization, compare it with synchronization handled by your display or graphics driver, but change one layer at a time. Watch for the specific symptom you are trying to solve: tearing, judder, or added latency. Do not enable several competing frame limiters while diagnosing frame pacing.
4. Establish a repeatable test scene
Use the same route, room, or camera movement for every comparison. Run through it at least twice after each change because a first pass can include one-time asset loading. Note whether the problem is a low average frame rate, short stutters, texture pop-in, unstable camera motion, or controls that feel delayed. Each symptom points to a different adjustment.

When the build exposes individual quality controls, reduce the option that visibly contributes most to the problem by one step. Apply the setting, repeat the same scene, and keep the change only if it improves consistency without an unacceptable visual loss. Because the published material does not enumerate Vasya Run’s settings, do not assume that a control exists or that its label has a particular performance cost.

6. Set a sustainable frame cap
A cap can make frame delivery more even when the PC fluctuates between rates. Choose a limit your system can hold in the demanding part of the test scene, not the peak shown in a quiet area. If the game provides no cap, use only a driver or display-level limiter you understand, and avoid changing several limiters simultaneously. No official Vasya Run FPS target has been published, so a fixed number would be speculation.
How to choose between image quality and frame-time stability
There is no universally “best” preset without a tested PC configuration. Use the following decision rules instead:

Lowering resolution is a valid fallback when effects reductions are insufficient, but it changes the entire image. Try targeted reductions first so you preserve clarity where possible. If a resolution-scale or upscaling control appears in a later build, evaluate it separately; no such mode is documented in the currently available official information.

8 GB system memory
Eight gigabytes is the published minimum. Close browsers, launchers, recording software, and other applications before testing, because Windows and background processes share that memory with the game. If the game stutters while other applications are open, reproduce the test with them closed before changing image quality.

16 GB system memory
Sixteen gigabytes is the published recommendation. It reduces the likelihood that ordinary background activity is competing for memory, but it does not establish a GPU tier or guarantee a frame rate. Continue to tune from a measured baseline.
More than 16 GB
Additional memory may help a heavily multitasked PC, but it is not evidence that Vasya Run will render at a higher resolution or frame rate. The store listing does not publish a requirement above 16 GB.
Demo versus full-release settings
The main Steam listing labels Vasya Run “Coming soon” and says the game is not yet available on Steam. SteamDB separately records a Windows demo with a listed Steam release date of 31 October 2026, which is later than the current 19 October 2026 date. Treat that date as the metadata currently recorded for the demo, not as proof that the full game will launch then.
SteamDB records the demo depot at approximately 11.37 GiB installed and 10.47 GiB downloaded. Those figures describe the demo depot, not the storage requirement of the eventual full release. The public demo branch was recorded as updated on 17 October 2026, so menus and performance behavior can change in subsequent builds.
When you report a problem, include whether it occurred in the demo or the full release, the build date if shown, your resolution, the settings you changed, and the exact scene where it happened. This prevents a demo-only controller or graphics limitation from being mistaken for a final-release behavior.
Troubleshooting checklist
The controller is not detected
- Connect it before launching the game and confirm Windows detects it.
- Try a wired connection to rule out wireless pairing, battery, or interference issues.
- Restart the game after connecting the controller.
- Check whether the demo is the affected build, because its SteamDB record lists partial rather than full controller support.
The game looks blurry after changing settings
- Restore the monitor’s native resolution.
- Check for a resolution-scale, anti-aliasing, or upscaling option and return it to its baseline value.
- Apply one change at a time and compare the same scene.
Performance worsens after an adjustment
- Undo the last setting and retest.
- Check that you did not enable multiple frame limiters or synchronization methods at once.
- Close background applications, then repeat the original baseline test.
You cannot find a graphics option mentioned online
Do not substitute a guessed equivalent. The available official material does not publish a complete settings list, and menus can differ between the demo and the release. Use only controls present in your build and document their exact labels when seeking support.
A practical first-session checklist
- Confirm your PC meets the listed 8 GB minimum memory requirement; 16 GB is the listed recommendation.
- Connect an Xbox-compatible controller.
- Launch the current build and note whether it is the demo.
- Record the default graphics values.
- Set native resolution and a supported display refresh rate.
- Play a repeatable section without changing anything.
- Adjust one demanding effect at a time if frame pacing is unstable.
- Choose a cap your PC can sustain in the demanding section, if the option exists.
- Set dead zones and sensitivity only after confirming the default controls.
- Keep a short record of the final values so you can restore them after an update.
Bottom line
The best evidence-based setup today is a controller-first baseline at native resolution, followed by measured one-change-at-a-time tuning. Vasya Run’s official listing recommends a controller and supplies 8 GB minimum and 16 GB recommended memory figures, but it does not identify a GPU, VRAM amount, preset, resolution target, or FPS target. Use the demo’s behavior as provisional, because its recorded partial controller support may not match the full release’s listed support.
