If you are new to action games
Pick the less demanding preset that feels manageable, and enable Control Reminders or Tutorial Reminders if you want help recalling actions. These reminders are separate from the overall difficulty setting, so you can use them without assuming you need to make every part of the game easier.

If timed prompts are the problem
On PS5, try Simplified Quick Time Events. PlayStation describes this assist as reducing the challenge of timed on-screen prompts. It targets that specific demand rather than changing the overall difficulty.

For visual comfort
Look for the text, color, and camera-comfort options documented for your platform. The official support guide lists visual features at platform level; it does not establish that every option is available on every system. The guide also notes that platform and storefront presentations can differ, and that similarly useful settings may have different names or menu groupings.

Where are the settings?
IO Interactive’s official 007 First Light accessibility guide, dated May 26, 2026, covers PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam (PC). It says most options are in the game’s Accessibility, Audio, Video/Visual, and Controls menus. Some features also depend on console- or PC-level settings. The exact menu path and labels may vary, so check the in-game menu for your platform.
Platform differences matter
The support guide documents different options and input paths by platform. Treat its platform-specific lists as the guide to what is documented, not as evidence that every feature is available everywhere.

When software settings are not enough
If a control barrier remains, a platform-compatible adaptive input device may be worth considering. Compatibility depends on the specific device, console or PC setup, and the player’s needs; the official game sources do not verify compatibility with any particular third-party controller.
