There is no single best Dell touchscreen laptop for everyone: the right choice depends on whether you want a compact conventional laptop or a larger convertible, and on the touch display and configuration offered for the exact model. Dell’s U.S. catalog includes multiple touchscreen models, but touch support can vary by configuration. Compare the specific screen, weight, components, and live price before choosing.
Two different ways to use a Dell touchscreen
Dell XPS 13: compact clamshell
Dell lists the XPS 13, model DX13260, with a 13.4-inch 2.5K touchscreen in its U.S. catalog. It is a conventional clamshell rather than a convertible, making it the more compact example of the two models discussed here. Dell’s XPS comparison page lists a starting weight of 2.2 lb and battery life of up to 17 hours. Those are Dell’s manufacturer figures, not independent measurements or guarantees for every configuration and workload. Dell 16 Plus 2-in-1: larger convertible
Dell lists the 16 Plus 2-in-1, model DB06250, as a 16-inch convertible with four modes. That larger screen and hinged design suit someone who wants to switch between laptop use and other supported orientations. Confirm that the exact configuration you select includes a touchscreen; the model family name alone is not enough to establish panel details. Dell’s everyday touchscreen laptop listings provide additional current category examples.

What to compare before you buy
- Form factor: Choose a standard clamshell if you primarily want a laptop. Consider a convertible if changing between its supported modes is useful to you.
- Display: Check diagonal size, resolution, panel type, and touch support on the precise configuration. A touchscreen label does not tell you all of these details.
- Portability: Compare the listed weight and dimensions for the configuration you intend to buy. Dell’s 2.2 lb figure for the XPS 13 is a starting weight, not a claim that every version weighs exactly that much.
- Configuration: Review the processor, memory, storage, and operating system shown for the exact SKU. Configurations can differ within a product family.
- Price and availability: Check the live page for your region. Dell’s catalog showed a $699.99 starting price for the XPS 13 DX13260 in the listing represented by the source; that price is configuration- and time-sensitive, not a current-price guarantee.
Verify the exact configuration
- Open Dell’s regional touchscreen catalog and identify the model and product code you are considering.
- Open the configuration’s detailed specifications and confirm that the selected display explicitly supports touch, along with the resolution and panel information.
- Check processor, memory, storage, operating system, weight, and any features you specifically need. If pen input matters, verify stylus compatibility in the exact model’s specifications; it is not established here for these examples.
- Review the current regional price and availability for that configuration before purchasing. Promotions and displayed starting prices can change.
