The PowerA Slim Case is the clearest pick for compact everyday carry: Nintendo lists it as compatible with Switch 2, with a molded, soft-lined interior, a padded screen protector that doubles as a play stand, and room for up to 10 game cards. If you need a low-profile alternative with a rigid shell, consider Turtle Beach’s PlayTrek Slim. Neither is established as a way to carry the dock and full TV-mode kit.
Which compact Switch 2 case should you choose?
| Case | Best for | Documented protection and storage | Fit for larger accessories |
|---|---|---|---|
| PowerA Slim Case | Keeping bulk down while carrying the console and games | Nintendo lists a molded, soft-lined interior, a padded screen protector/play stand, and capacity for up to 10 game cards. Nintendo product listing | Room for a charger or larger accessories is not stated. |
| Turtle Beach PlayTrek Slim | A low-profile case with a rigid molded shell | Nintendo lists an EVA shell, TPU-coated polyester exterior, padded interior flap, and game-card storage; card capacity is not stated. Nintendo product listing | Room for a charger or larger accessories is not stated. |
| Nintendo Switch 2 Carrying Case & Screen Protector | An official case with some room for small items | TechRadar’s November 2025 review reports six game-card slots and three compartments. TechRadar review | TechRadar says it does not fit the dock. |
| Orzly Carrying Case for Switch 2 | More room than a slim case, if extra bulk is acceptable | GamesRadar+ describes it as roomier and bulkier than PowerA Slim; this is a review comparison, not a controlled test. GamesRadar+ review | Specific accessory fit is not established here. |
| Nintendo Switch 2 All-In-One Carrying Case | Taking the dock and TV-mode kit along | TechRadar describes seven compartments intended for the dock, controllers, console, and other items. TechRadar review | Designed for a larger load; not a compact everyday-carry choice. |
Best low-bulk pick: PowerA Slim Case
For a console-and-games loadout, the PowerA Slim Case has the clearest published specification. Nintendo says it is officially licensed and compatibility-tested for Switch 2, and lists structured molded protection, a soft fabric lining, and capacity for up to 10 game cards. Its folding stand serves as a padded screen protector when the console is inside. PowerA identifies the product as model NSCS0528-01 and corroborates its compatibility and core features on its manufacturer product page.

Nintendo lists a Mario and Friends version with the same described 10-card capacity, molded interior, stand, and padded screen protection. See the Nintendo listing for that variant. The stated capacity applies to the PowerA Slim Case family described in those listings, not to compact cases generally.
Low-profile shell alternative: Turtle Beach PlayTrek Slim
Choose the PlayTrek Slim if a rigid molded shell and its specified outer materials matter more to you than a published game-card count. Nintendo describes an EVA structure with a TPU-coated polyester exterior, a padded interior flap that protects the screen and holds game cards, and a low-profile shape intended for a backpack, suitcase, or commuter bag. The official listing does not give a card-slot count or establish room for a charger or other larger accessories. See Nintendo’s PlayTrek Slim listing.

When an official case with compartments is enough
The Nintendo Switch 2 Carrying Case & Screen Protector is still a relatively slim option, but it is a different trade-off from a minimal console-and-games sleeve. TechRadar’s November 2025 review reports dimensions of 340 x 142 x 42 mm, weight of 310 g, six game-card slots, and three compartments. The review describes space for the console, Joy-Con 2, and a small accessory, but says the dock does not fit. These measurements and fit assessments are TechRadar’s published review findings, not manufacturer specifications.
TechRadar also judged the included screen protector unremarkable and suggested considering a separately sold protector; that is the reviewer’s assessment, not a lab performance result. Nintendo’s carrying case and screen protector information provides product-specific instructions for the official case and protector.

When accessories make a compact case the wrong choice
For a little more space
GamesRadar+ characterizes the Orzly case as a budget-oriented, roomier option, while noting that it is bulkier than the PowerA Slim. This is a reviewer comparison, not a controlled side-by-side test, and the available review information does not establish precise fit for a charger, grip, or other specific item. Its publication-time prices are historical, not reliable current offers.

For dock-and-TV-mode travel
If “accessories” means taking the dock and TV-mode kit, the Nintendo All-In-One Carrying Case is the relevant branch, not a compact case. TechRadar describes seven compartments intended for the dock, controllers, console, and more. It is purpose-built for a larger load, so expect a less compact carry than the slim cases above.

How to choose without overbuying
- List what must travel. For the console and games, start with a slim case. Add the charger or other items to your list only if you need them; the cited slim-case specifications do not establish their fit.
- Choose the protection design. PowerA documents a molded, soft-lined interior and a stand that pads the screen. Turtle Beach specifies an EVA shell, coated textile exterior, and padded flap. The published specifications do not establish comparative drop-test performance.
- Check the capacity you actually need. PowerA’s stated maximum is 10 game cards; TechRadar reports six slots in the official carrying case review. Turtle Beach’s listing confirms card storage but does not state a count.
- Move up to a larger case for TV mode. TechRadar’s review says the official Carrying Case & Screen Protector does not fit the dock; its All-In-One case is the option described with dock, controller, and console compartments.
- Confirm the regional listing before buying. Nintendo’s UK case catalog shows that regional catalogs and variants differ. Check the current local listing for the exact model, availability, and price; the cited sources do not establish current prices or stock. Nintendo UK Switch 2 Cases.
