Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFor a practical starting point, keep your display at its native resolution, set View Distance to High, turn Motion Blur off, and reduce demanding options such as Shadows and Post-Processing if performance needs help. Treat this as a baseline to tune in actual gameplay—not a guaranteed preset: the right balance depends on your hardware, resolution, and preferences.
Start with your performance target
Embark’s PC system requirements page, last updated October 1, 2025, groups its hardware recommendations by publisher-stated targets. These are not independent benchmarks or guarantees that every PC in a tier will achieve the listed result.

| Embark tier | Example hardware | Publisher-stated target |
|---|---|---|
| Minimum | Intel Core i5-6600K or AMD Ryzen 5 1600; 12 GB RAM; GTX 1050 Ti, RX 580, or Intel Arc A380 | Low settings, 1080p, 60 fps |
| Recommended | Intel Core i5-9600K or AMD Ryzen 5 3600; 16 GB RAM; RTX 2070, RX 5700 XT, or Intel Arc B570 | High settings, 1440p, 60 fps |
| Epic | Intel Core i7-9700K or AMD Ryzen 7 3700X; 16 GB RAM; RTX 4070 Ti / RTX 5070 or RX 7900 XTX | Epic settings with resolution scaling quality, 1440p, 90 fps |
Embark also lists Windows 10 or later, 64-bit, for these PC requirements. Use the tiers to set expectations: if your system is closer to minimum, prioritize a stable frame rate over maximum detail; a system near recommended or Epic has more room to preserve image quality. The listed targets are from Embark’s PC system requirements page, not a promise for every configuration.
Use this visibility-first starting profile
GameSpot’s October 30, 2025 graphics guide offers a useful starting point, but it is dated third-party advice rather than an official or current-build-tested preset. The settings below combine that baseline with a cautious approach: retain clarity-oriented choices first, then lower costly options only as needed.
#1 Best Overall
- 【INTEGRATED SPEAKERS】Whether you're at work or in the midst of an intense gaming session, our built-in speakers provide rich and seamless audio, all while keeping your desk clutter-free.
- 【EASY ON THE EYES】 Protect your eyes and enhance your comfort with Blue-Light Shift technology. This feature reduces harmful blue light emissions from your screen, helping to alleviate eye strain during long hours of use and promoting healthier viewing habits.
- 【WIDEN YOUR PERSPECTIVE】Our sleek minimal bezel design ensures undivided attention. The nearly bezel-free display seamlessly connects in a dual monitor arrangement, delivering an unobstructed view that lets you focus on more at once, completely distraction-free.
| Setting | Starting point | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Resolution | Native / display maximum | Preserves the display’s intended image detail when performance allows. |
| Upscaling | Try DLSS or FSR if native rendering misses your performance goal and your hardware supports the option | Can trade some image detail for rendering performance; the cited sources do not establish a current-build FPS gain. |
| Field of View (FOV) | 80 | GameSpot’s suggested baseline; adjust if the view feels too narrow or distorted. |
| Motion Blur | Off | Reduces blur that can make movement and distant details harder to read. |
| View Distance | High | A visibility-oriented choice for spotting distant threats. |
| Shadows and Post-Processing | Reduce incrementally if performance is insufficient | GameSpot recommends lowering these rather than sacrificing view distance first. |
| Reflections | Reduce if performance needs help | Another setting GameSpot identifies for reduction. |
| Textures and Effects | Medium as an initial fallback | GameSpot’s sample uses Medium; raise them if performance headroom permits. |
| V-Sync | Off in GameSpot’s sample | Try the sample value, then judge smoothness and tearing on your own display. |
| NVIDIA Reflex | On in GameSpot’s sample, if available | This is the guide’s sample setting; availability depends on the system and game menu. |
GameSpot’s full ARC Raiders PC graphics settings guide recommends checking performance after changes and adjusting for the individual PC. Menu labels or available options may differ by hardware or game version.
Tune settings in a controlled way
- Set a target. Decide whether you value a steadier frame rate, higher resolution, or more visual detail. Embark’s published tiers can orient that choice, but your system’s actual gameplay performance is the deciding evidence.
- Begin at native resolution. Keep the display’s native resolution if performance and frame pacing are acceptable. If they are not, test a supported DLSS or FSR option rather than assuming a specific uplift.
- Keep visibility choices intact initially. Use View Distance High and Motion Blur off, with FOV 80 as a starting point.
- Lower demanding settings gradually. Reduce Shadows, Post-Processing, and Reflections one at a time or in small groups. Recheck gameplay after each change so you can see which trade-off matters on your PC.
- Assess real encounters, not only a quiet menu. Check whether frame pacing and distant visibility remain acceptable during the gameplay situations that matter to you. If the image becomes too soft or detail is lost, restore the last setting that helped clarity.
Why there is no single best preset
ARC Raiders is an Unreal Engine 5 multiplayer extraction adventure, and Embark lists PC, PlayStation, and Xbox as supported platforms. Resolution, GPU capability, and the player’s preferred balance of clarity and performance all affect which settings make sense. The cited requirements list broad hardware tiers, while the dated third-party guide gives recommendations; neither provides controlled, setting-by-setting measurements for a specified October 2026 build.

Embark’s official site announces the Frozen Trail update for October 8, 2026. Since this article is dated October 7, 2026, check the graphics menu and retune after the update rather than assuming older recommendations or labels remain unchanged. If your current GPU falls below the hardware examples for the performance tier you want, first try the lower-cost settings adjustments above and compare your actual gameplay with your target. Consider an upgrade only if the resulting performance or image quality still does not meet your needs; the publisher’s tier examples are guidance, not a requirement that every player buy new hardware.
