First, check your Series 12 case size: Apple says the watch comes in 42mm and 46mm, and band compatibility depends on the case-size group. Apple’s chart groups 42mm, 44mm, and 45mm bands together; 46mm bands also fit 44mm and 45mm cases. For third-party bands, verify the exact model’s fit list before buying. Check your case size before choosing a band
Apple announced that Apple Watch Series 12 is available in 42mm and 46mm sizes. Apple’s September 9, 2026 announcement establishes those case sizes, but does not establish connector measurements or third-party compatibility for every version, including ceramic models.

Apple Support says that “Bands for 46mm cases are compatible with 44mm, 45mm, and 46mm cases.” Its guidance also groups 42mm bands with 44mm and 45mm cases. Match the band to the watch case size and do not force a band into its slot; consult Apple’s band compatibility guide for the full chart. Apple’s compatibility groups are not a substitute for checking a third-party maker’s fit statement.
