Which alternative fits your priorities?
Choose OnePlus Watch 3 if battery life is your priority
TechRadar lists up to 120 hours for the OnePlus Watch 3, which it describes as the battery-life leader among full smartwatches in its guide. That figure is an upper limit, not a guarantee: actual runtime depends on settings and use. The watch combines Wear OS 5 with RTOS, so verify which features you rely on and how they behave in each mode before buying.
Choose Galaxy Watch 8 for Samsung’s current Wear OS option
TechRadar lists Wear OS 6 and One UI Watch 8 for the Galaxy Watch 8. Its guide also lists up to 100 hours of battery duration, but that figure may depend on the model variant and settings; verify the specification for the exact watch with the manufacturer. If you use a non-Samsung Android phone, check whether the particular health features you want work with it and in your region rather than assuming every feature is available across phones.
Rank #2

- Save time with things like Google Wallet for contactless payments, turn-by-turn directions using Maps, and event notifications from Calendar

Consider Galaxy Watch 7 if the price makes sense
TechRadar presents the Galaxy Watch 7 as a way to spend less than on a newer Samsung watch. Whether it is better value depends on the price and stock currently available to you; compare the checkout price with newer alternatives rather than treating its generation as a discount by itself. Samsung lists Android 11.0 or newer and 1.5 GB of RAM as requirements, with possible phone-model exceptions.
Choose Pixel Watch 4 if you want to stay with Google
The Pixel Watch 4 is the natural alternative to consider if you want Google’s watch ecosystem but do not need the newest model. TechRadar notes two compromises versus Pixel Watch 5: half the storage and no latest Gemini Intelligence. The guide says Google will stop selling Pixel Watch 4 officially, so availability and pricing may depend on third-party stock.
Rank #3

How to make the decision
- Confirm phone support. Check the manufacturer’s requirements for the precise watch model and your handset, not only its Android version. Samsung notes that some phones may be incompatible despite meeting the listed minimums.
- Match the watch to your ecosystem. Decide whether Google’s or Samsung’s features and services are the better fit. For Samsung health features on a non-Samsung phone, check support for each feature you intend to use.
- Set realistic battery expectations. Treat “up to” figures as listed maximums, not guaranteed day-to-day results. Your settings and use affect runtime; also check which functions are available in different operating modes.
- Think about how you will wear and use it. Compare case size and comfort, and decide whether your priority is smartwatch notifications and apps or training and outdoor activities. The cited guide does not provide controlled head-to-head testing for every model.
- Compare the actual offer. Check current price, stock and seller—especially for older models—and weigh those against the features you would give up.
