Those descriptions establish broad writing capability, not a guarantee that a generated script will be accurate, entertaining or ready to record. The model does not automatically know your editorial standards, the latest facts, your legal constraints, or what your viewers already heard in the last ten videos. It may also produce confident wording around an incorrect detail. Treat the output as a draft produced from the material and instructions you provide.

Prepare the same brief for every tool
- Topic and the specific viewer question the video must answer.
- Target audience, country or region where relevant, and expected knowledge level.
- Target duration and an approximate spoken-word range.
- A verified source pack with links, dates and notes about uncertainty.
- Your preferred structure, such as hook, promise, three evidence sections, practical steps and conclusion.
- A short transcript or paragraph that demonstrates your channel’s tone.

- Define the viewer promise. Write one sentence describing what the viewer will know or be able to do by the end.
- Gather and label evidence. Separate confirmed facts, interpretations, examples and open questions. Include publication dates for information that can change.
- Request an outline. Ask for the hook, sequence of sections, visual opportunities and the evidence each section needs.
- Challenge the outline. Remove sections that do not serve the promise. Move the most important answer earlier if the viewer would otherwise wait too long.
- Generate narration in sections. Working section by section makes it easier to preserve facts and correct a weak transition without regenerating the entire script.
- Fact-check independently. Open the cited source, confirm the wording and update stale details. Never treat fluent prose as evidence.
- Add original value. Include your own demonstration, comparison, explanation, experience or editorial judgment. Replace generic examples with situations your viewers recognize.
- Edit for the ear. Read aloud, shorten long sentences, vary rhythm and mark pauses. Check that every visual instruction matches the footage you can actually create.
- Check rights and safety. Confirm that music, clips, images, quotations and brand references are licensed or otherwise permitted for your use.
- Keep an audit trail. Save the source pack, prompts, corrections and final script so another team member can verify how important claims were reached.
YouTube originality and monetization rules
YouTube’s channel monetization policy was clarified on July 15, 2025, including a rename from “repetitious content” to “inauthentic content.” The policy says monetized content should “Be your original creation. If you borrow content from someone else, you need to change it significantly to make it your own.” It also says content should “Not be mass-produced, generic, repetitive, or manipulative” and should be made for viewers’ enjoyment or education rather than solely to obtain views.
Those statements are not an AI-specific ban. They do mean that generating hundreds of near-identical scripts, reading lightly altered summaries, or publishing videos with no meaningful creator contribution can create monetization risk. Using an AI assistant alone does not guarantee approval, and using one does not automatically cause disqualification.
Practical safeguards for AI-assisted channels
- Research each topic instead of recycling the same claims and examples.
- Add a distinct point of view, explanation, demonstration or analysis.
- Rewrite the draft substantially in your own editorial voice.
- Make sure the finished video delivers the education or entertainment promised by its title and thumbnail.
- Review the current policy before applying for or relying on monetization; rules can change.
Common failure modes and fixes
The script sounds generic
Cause: The prompt contains only a topic and a requested word count. Fix: Supply a tone sample, audience description, banned phrases, concrete examples and a clear viewer promise. Ask for two contrasting openings and choose one yourself.
The draft includes invented facts
Cause: The assistant fills gaps with plausible-sounding details. Fix: Provide a closed source pack, ask it to flag unsupported claims, and verify every factual sentence against the original source.

The video is too long
Cause: The draft repeats the premise, adds ornamental transitions or explains the same point in several ways. Fix: Set a target duration, request a timed outline first, and cut any paragraph that does not answer the viewer’s question or support the evidence.
The hook promises more than the video delivers
Cause: The opening was optimized for curiosity without checking the body. Fix: Write the promise after the outline is stable, then confirm that the first minute gives viewers a clear reason to continue.
Corrections disappear in later revisions
Cause: A rewrite regenerates surrounding text from an outdated instruction. Fix: Restate the corrected fact in the revision prompt and run a final consistency check across the complete script.
The narration does not match the footage
Cause: The script was written without knowing what can be shown. Fix: List available footage, screenshots, demonstrations and graphics before drafting; mark any visual that still needs to be produced.
