Is it really an “Inception replacement”?

Think of Hypnotic as its own thriller rather than an official follow-up or a proven stand-in for Inception.

Why is it back in streaming headlines?
The clearest documented reason is a mix of past platform placements and a dated chart mention. The German Prime Video report appeared in March 2024, the German Netflix report in March 2025, and T3’s UK Prime Video ranking claim in July 2025. Together, those reports show that the film received streaming attention in those markets at those times; they do not show a current resurgence, present-day chart position, or audience size.
