How to build a strong four-hero squad
The guide says a squad can contain up to four characters. Use the tier list as one input rather than simply choosing four names from the highest row: hero level, elemental advantages or disadvantages, and the way abilities work together also affect stage performance. The game’s official description likewise emphasizes choosing characters that complement one another.
Start with roles and team fit
Consider what the lineup needs—damage, healing, shielding, or useful effects—and whether each hero contributes to a coherent plan. The dated guide also notes that some Epic heroes can be useful alongside Legendary heroes depending on build and level, so rarity alone is not its sole measure of investment value.

Match abilities, not just tier labels
- Kivaris and Lednaigrael: Pocket Gamer specifically describes the Lightning pair as a good fit.
- Cissy with Freeze support: Cissy can apply Chill, but the guide says she benefits from a teammate who can provide Freeze.
- Sejoan with Fire resistance reduction: The guide identifies Fire resistance reduction as a useful complement to this Fire Archer.
These are examples from the dated guide, not universal team prescriptions. Check whether the combination suits the stage and the heroes you have developed.
Account for elements and levels
The guide says elemental advantages or disadvantages and hero levels matter when tackling stages. If a high-tier hero is underleveled or poorly matched to an encounter, compare the practical value of a better-developed option with a more suitable elemental matchup before committing resources.

Use the September 2025 list to shortlist candidates, then weigh role coverage, matchup, synergy, and investment level together.
