For Titan shifting, choose Fritz; for ODM-focused combat, consider Helos or Ackerman; for party and progression support, consider Reiss. That is a practical way to use the available tier-list guidance—not a universal ranking. The guides disagree on some placements and on whether Shiki is obtainable, and their rankings are editorial assessments rather than measured performance.
Best family by build
| Family | Best fit | What the guides say |
|---|---|---|
| Fritz | Titan shifting | Pro Game Guides describes Fritz as a shifter family and ranks it S+ in its April 29, 2026 Update 4 list. That guide reports +20% Shifter Stats, +15% Critical Chance and Damage, and +10% Damage in Raids. [Pro Game Guides] |
| Helos | ODM-focused, non-shifter play | Both reviewed guides position Helos as a strong option; Pro Game Guides characterizes it as an ODM/non-shifter choice and ranks it S+. [Pro Game Guides] |
| Ackerman | ODM blade combat | Pocket Gamer identifies Ackerman as blade-focused and reports +20% damage, +15% critical chance, and +15% critical damage. Pro Game Guides places it in S. These are guide-reported game values, not independently measured results. [Pocket Gamer] [Pro Game Guides] |
| Reiss | Party support and progression | Pocket Gamer describes party XP and Gold bonuses, which may be more useful to a group or progression-focused player than a personal combat bonus. [Pocket Gamer] |
Use rarity as a secondary consideration. Pocket Gamer cautions that rarity does not always match a family’s tier placement, so the bonus and combat style matter more than rarity alone.

The tier labels are not directly interchangeable: one list uses S+ while the other’s stated S tier contains more families. More importantly, the guides differ on Shiki’s availability. Treat the rankings as dated advice, not official game documentation; check the live experience or its official Trello board for current roster and mechanics. A wiki lists the Roblox experience and Trello board as official links. [Attack on Titan Revolution Wiki]
What to compare before choosing
- Combat direction: Decide whether your build depends on Titan shifting or ODM combat. The reviewed guides frame Fritz for shifting and Helos and Ackerman for ODM-oriented play.
- Damage profile: Compare damage, critical chance, and critical damage bonuses where a guide states them. Ackerman’s reported bonuses favor direct blade damage.
- Survivability and skills: Pocket Gamer describes Yeager as having shifting and regeneration skills, and Ackerman as having “Let it RIP” and “Swift Strikes.” Consider whether those abilities suit your approach, rather than ranking on passive numbers alone. [Pocket Gamer]
- Group value: Reiss’s reported party XP and Gold bonuses may benefit a group even when another family gives a more direct personal combat advantage.
Spins, guarantees, and rates: verify in-game
The guides describe families as obtained through Spins, but their specific acquisition claims are not confirmed by the primary documentation cited here. Pocket Gamer reports an Epic-or-Legendary guarantee after 400 spins; Pro Game Guides reports a guarantee of at least Epic rarity after 400 spins and a 0.025% Mythical spin rate. These are each publisher’s claims, not verified current rules. [Pocket Gamer] [Pro Game Guides]
