If your AULA keyboard has no backlight, the cause is usually one of four things: the model’s lighting works differently than you expect, the keyboard isn’t getting power, it’s in the wrong connection mode, or the hardware has failed. There is no single AULA-wide shortcut or reset that fixes all of them. The official AULA sources do not document one, so this guide works through the checks in order and shows when to contact support.
1. Identify your exact model
AULA publishes separate manuals and downloads for different models, so a shortcut that works on one board may do nothing on another. Read the model name from the keyboard’s case, the packaging, or your order record, then find the matching entry on AULA’s official manuals page. Use that manual for lighting controls, not a forum post written for a different model.

2. Check whether your model’s lighting is adjustable at all
Some models have lighting you cannot control. AULA’s F75 Wired Version product page states: “The AULA F75 Wired Version features fixed RGB lighting; the backlight cannot be changed.”

- Lights are on in a fixed pattern: the keyboard is working as designed. Being unable to switch effects, colours or brightness is not a fault on that model.
- No light at all: go on to the power and connection checks.
- Any other model: check its own manual. The F75 Wired limitation should not be assumed to apply to every AULA keyboard.
3. Check power and connection mode
AULA’s F75 and F108 product pages list more than one connection mode, so the first question is which mode your keyboard is in. Mode selection is not a universal fix for missing RGB, but a keyboard in the wrong mode or with a flat battery can look dead.

Wired use
- Unplug and reseat the cable at both ends.
- Try a different port on the computer, ideally one that you know works with other devices.
- If you have a compatible cable, swap it in. This isolates a damaged cable. Check that it has the right connector and carries data, not just charge. A cable cannot repair failed LEDs or internal electronics.
Rechargeable, wireless-capable models
- Charge the keyboard for a while using a known-good cable and port.
- Confirm that the mode you intend to use is selected, using the mode-switching steps in your model’s manual.
- Note whether the keyboard still types. Typing with no light points toward a lighting setting, a fixed-lighting model, or an LED issue. No response at all points toward power or connection.
4. Use only model-matched instructions and software
AULA provides model-specific manuals, drivers and firmware on its downloads page. Follow the matching manual for brightness, effect and lighting on/off controls. Do not apply a generic Fn-key combination or flash firmware meant for another model. The official sources reviewed do not support a universal shortcut or firmware procedure, and the wrong firmware can create new problems.
5. Contact AULA support if it still fails
If the model-specific checks fail, treat it as a possible hardware fault. AULA’s downloads page lists support at [email protected], Monday to Friday, 09:00–18:00 (UTC+8). Contact details can change, so confirm them on the page. AULA’s site also lists a one-year keyboard warranty. Coverage and remedy depend on the policy that applies to your purchase, so no repair or replacement is guaranteed.

- whether the keyboard still types;
