- Task: can you name the problem it solves in one sentence?
- Compatibility: does it work with your phone, computer or smart-home platform (Alexa, Google Home, Apple Home, Matter)?
- Specs that matter: wattage and port mix for chargers, capacity for power banks, port types and data speed for hubs.
- Hidden costs: missing cables, subscriptions for camera storage, or a required hub.
- Current price: sale prices come and go, so confirm the model is still under $50 at your retailer.

1. Anker Nano Travel Adapter
Tom’s Hardware (June 25, 2026) listed this at $19.99 at Amazon. It describes two USB-C and two USB-A ports and coverage for more than 200 countries. The limitation is that it does not accept grounded three-prong plugs, so it suits phone, tablet and similar chargers, not every appliance. Also note that a plug adapter changes the plug shape only. Check the voltage range printed on each device’s charger before plugging it in abroad.

The same Anker collection lists the 313 PowerCore 10K, a 10,000 mAh-class power bank, under $50 as of October 5, 2026. That is a few phone charges in a pocket-sized unit. Confirm the cable situation and that your phone’s fast-charging standard is supported.
4. UGREEN 65W three-port charger set
Best Buy’s “Tech Under $50” collection (accessed October 5, 2026) listed a UGREEN 65W three-port charger set at $49.99, right at the ceiling. A multi-port 65W charger can replace several bricks for a phone, tablet and ultraportable laptop. Wattage is shared across ports, so look at the split when all three are in use.
5. Rechargeable batteries
Tom’s Hardware’s under-$50 roundup includes a rechargeable battery among its picks. Rechargeable AA/AAA sets with a charger are a sensible buy for remotes, controllers and flashlights. Pick a set that includes the charger, and check the listed cycle count and capacity yourself.

7. Anker PowerConf C200 2K webcam
Tom’s Hardware listed it at $46.49 at Amazon (June 2026). The roundup describes an adjustable built-in foot, a tripod mount and a detachable USB-C cable. For video calls, a dedicated webcam is often a step up from a laptop’s built-in camera. Those are the roundup’s descriptions, not independent measurements.
8. Logitech POP Mouse
TechRadar’s back-to-school roundup (August 17, 2026) lists it at $19.84. A wireless mouse is among the cheapest comfort upgrades for a laptop. Confirm it connects the way your computer needs: Bluetooth or a USB receiver.
