Taskbar Groups is a free Windows utility for arranging shortcut groups on the taskbar. A group can contain executable files, .lnk shortcuts, folders, Windows Store apps, and Steam games or software. Users can choose group colors, opacity, and icons, rename shortcuts, and set how many shortcuts appear on each row. Shortcut settings can include a working directory and launch arguments. Ctrl+Enter can be enabled to open every shortcut in a group, while number keys 1–0 launch shortcuts in positions one through ten. The utility stores group and shortcut icons in each group's local configuration folder, and saving a group again can regenerate that cache. A release note lists support for multiple monitors, vertical and top taskbars, and hidden taskbars. To get started, download the latest release ZIP, unpack it, and run TaskbarGroups.exe. The project is licensed under MIT. Group names can have up to 49 characters and cannot contain special characters; shortcut entry names are limited to 27 characters. If a shortcut is moved, the application may stop launching it until the group is edited again.
