RomM is a free, self-hosted app for managing and playing a ROM collection. It scans and enriches collections, supports more than 400 platforms, and accommodates multi-disk games, downloadable content, mods, hacks, and manuals. Compatible titles can be played in a browser through EmulatorJS and Ruffle without setup, while saves and states sync across devices with conflict resolution. Metadata can come from IGDB, ScreenScraper, LaunchBox, and MobyGames; artwork can be fetched from SteamGridDB, and achievements can be tracked through RetroAchievements. A built-in patcher applies ROM hacks and translations. RomM lists granular per-user permissions, OIDC single sign-on, a REST API, exports for ES-DE and Pegasus, and a LaunchBox import. Official clients include a Windows Playnite plugin and handheld clients for Android and Linux. The native iOS app is a community project, and the team says it does not regularly review community project source code. RomM is AGPL-3.0 licensed and lists no tracking or paid features. Setup help and community discussion are directed to Discord.
