ClassicBoy Pro

What ClassicBoy Pro is

ClassicBoy Pro combines emulator cores with a game library for playing classic games on Android devices. It is designed for Android phones, tablets, and TVs, and Windows is also listed as a platform. A ROM scanner can inspect specified files or directories to identify games and add them to the library. Users can browse, locate, and favorite titles in a gallery view, or explore game information in a database. Listed emulator cores include Dolphin, Citra, PPSSPP, FlyCast, PCSX-ReARMed/SwanStation, and Mupen64Plus, among others.

Controls include touchscreen buttons, external gamepads, customizable button layouts, gestures, and accelerometer input mapping. Gameplay tools include adjustable game speed, save and load states, data import and export, and cheat code support. The app does not include ROMs, and users must have the right to each ROM they play. ClassicBoy Pro is listed as free, while Google Play notes in-app purchases without showing their prices. The app’s privacy details say it collects no data and shares none with third parties. Its listed permissions cover reading game files, controller vibration, audio reverb settings, and Bluetooth connections for wireless controllers. External storage read and write permission is requested only below Android 10 to access game data and settings.
