Instead of Blink
Blink alternatives
Blink is a free SIP communications client for Linux, Mac, and Windows, with mobile apps and browser calling also available. It connects to SIP providers, Bonjour on a local network, and SIP2SIP. Its voice and video tools sit alongside encrypted chat, file transfers, screen sharing, and conferences; multiple SIP accounts and iCloud syncing between computers add flexibility. Blink also supports address book and LDAP integrations, but using it requires a SIP account, and features can vary by operating system and version. Some conference features need a conference server.

A different client may suit you better if your phone system, device mix, or licensing needs do not fit those requirements. Compare how each option connects to a SIP provider or PBX, whether it supports your platforms, and what it adds for group calls, messaging, recording, or business provisioning. Check account and device limits, encryption approaches, and whether a free plan covers your intended use. Those trade-offs matter more than choosing by feature count alone: a mobile extension, open-source project integration, or locally stored call data can point to a different fit.
