Instead of Beet
Beet alternatives
Beet brings Minecraft data pack and resource pack work into one development pipeline. Its library can create, read, edit, and merge zipped or unzipped packs; plugins can inspect, transform, or generate resources during configurable builds. Watch mode, release workflows, pack linking, a typed Python API, and pytest integration support repeatable development on Linux, macOS, and Windows. It also integrates with Sandstone for writing Minecraft commands.

Beet is free and open source, but installation requires Python and a Python package manager, and its documentation is a work in progress. If you would rather generate datapacks from plain-English requests, edit them in a dedicated interface, or use a language that compiles into packs, the alternatives below take different approaches. When switching, weigh whether you need Beet’s resource-pack support and plugin pipeline against a generator’s validation or a desktop editor’s code assistance. Platform availability, Minecraft version coverage, and whether you prefer an editor, a compiler, or a web service also matter.
