Apple is reportedly preparing two October product-announcement windows, but the available reporting does not confirm two formal launch events. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman has described an October 13 event for home devices; a separate late-October batch is reported without a confirmed date, product list, or format.
What is reportedly happening in October?
The reports describe two possible product-launch groupings, not two confirmed Apple events. The October 13 lineup is attributed to Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman. A separate report from MacRumors, citing multiple unnamed sources, points to more product unveilings in the final week of October.

| Reported window | Likely focus | What is known about the format | Evidence status |
|---|---|---|---|
| Tuesday, October 13 | A screen-equipped smart-home hub, a new HomePod mini, and an updated Apple TV | Gurman later described this as an event; Apple confirmation is not established in the cited reporting. | Bloomberg/Mark Gurman reporting, summarized by MacRumors and 9to5Mac. |
| Final week of October; exact date not reported | Possible Macs, including a MacBook Ultra, an M6 14-inch MacBook Pro, or an M6 iMac | Unspecified. A press release or video announcement is possible; a second formal event is not confirmed. | MacRumors cites multiple unnamed sources for a further product window, but says the exact products are unknown; 9to5Mac also notes the date, lineup, and format are unspecified. |
Will Apple hold two October events?
That is not established. MacRumors reported a second product-launch window, not a second event. Macworld cautions against treating the two batches as proof of two full live events, and notes that product announcements can also arrive through press releases or web updates. The October 13 gathering has stronger event-format reporting: on October 5, 9to5Mac quoted Gurman saying, “Apple is planning to hold an event on Oct. 13 to unveil its long-awaited smart home hub with a screen, the new HomePod mini and an updated Apple TV. All three devices will have Siri AI at the core.” That is Gurman’s statement as reproduced by 9to5Mac, not an official Apple announcement.

The distinction matters: a launch window tells readers when products may be unveiled, while an event claim specifies a format. Reporting supports two possible October announcement groupings; only the first is described as an event in the cited coverage. Macworld’s coverage makes that distinction explicit.

Which products might appear?
October 13: home devices
The reported first group centers on a smart-home hub with a screen, a new HomePod mini, and an Apple TV update. These are expected products in reporting, not announced Apple products. The Apple TV 4K is an existing product family; references to an update do not mean a rumored new model is currently available.
The hub is often called “HomePad” in rumor coverage, but that is not an Apple-confirmed name. Notebookcheck describes a possible touchscreen device with smart-home controls, Siri AI, FaceTime, and facial recognition, with a speaker base or wall-mount setup. Those details remain rumor-level descriptions, not confirmed specifications. Notebookcheck’s report summarizes these possibilities.

Late October: possible Macs, not a confirmed MacBook Ultra launch
MacRumors lists several plausible candidates for the later window: a rumored MacBook Ultra with an OLED display and thinner, lighter design; a base 14-inch MacBook Pro with an M6 chip; and an M6 iMac. The outlet does not identify any of them as confirmed products for that window. In particular, the MacBook Ultra should be treated as a possibility, not a scheduled or announced release.

An OLED iPad mini with an A20 Pro chip has also appeared as an October possibility, but the reporting does not place it confidently in either announcement group. Its timing and inclusion therefore remain unclear.
