Apple reported $416.161 billion in fiscal-2025 sales, up 6% year over year, while CoreWeave reported $5.131 billion for calendar 2025, up approximately 168%. That headline gap does not make CoreWeave’s growth automatically more durable: CoreWeave remained loss-making, depended on Microsoft for about 67% of revenue and operated with substantial data-center and financing demands. The useful comparison therefore combines growth rate with scale, mix, visibility, concentration, profitability and the risks that could interrupt expansion.
Apple and CoreWeave at a glance
The companies sell fundamentally different products. Apple combines devices with a large Services operation, while CoreWeave provides cloud computing built around infrastructure optimized for artificial intelligence and high-performance computing. Their reporting periods also differ: Apple’s figures are fiscal-year results, whereas CoreWeave’s are calendar-year results. A year-to-year comparison is still informative, but it is not a same-period operating comparison.

Apple’s latest annual revenue was about 81 times CoreWeave’s, calculated from the two reported 2025 figures. CoreWeave’s percentage increase is therefore a small-base phenomenon as well as a sign of rapid demand for its capacity. Percentage growth answers how quickly revenue changed; it does not answer how large, profitable or diversified the resulting business is.

Apple’s revenue trend: modest growth at enormous scale
Three years of reported sales
Apple’s sales rose from $383.285 billion in fiscal 2023 to $391.035 billion in fiscal 2024 and then to $416.161 billion in fiscal 2025. The company describes those changes as 2% growth in 2024 and 6% growth in 2025. At this scale, a single percentage point represents billions of dollars of additional sales; 6% growth in fiscal 2025 equated to roughly $25.1 billion more revenue than the prior year.

The pattern is comparatively stable rather than hyper-growth. Apple already operates a global hardware ecosystem and a substantial digital-services business, so its percentages are measured against hundreds of billions of dollars. Slower rates are not evidence of a shrinking business when the dollar increase remains large and the company continues to generate net income.
Where the 2025 increase came from
iPhone remained Apple’s largest reported product category at $209.586 billion in fiscal 2025. Services generated $109.158 billion and grew 14%, making it the fastest-growing major part of the disclosed mix. Mac also grew strongly, according to Apple’s filing discussion. Together, those areas offset weaker results elsewhere.
Wearables, Home and Accessories declined 4% in fiscal 2025. Greater China also declined, showing that Apple’s consolidated growth can conceal important regional and category differences. A reader evaluating durability should therefore distinguish the company-wide 6% rate from the faster Services increase and the declines in specific businesses.

Services gives Apple a recurring-sales component alongside device purchases. The filing does not turn Services into a guaranteed annuity: customers can change spending, and product ownership, regulation, currency and economic conditions affect usage. It does, however, diversify the sources of revenue beyond a single hardware launch cycle. The 14% Services increase in fiscal 2025 was materially faster than Apple’s overall rate and helped shift the mix toward that business.
Apple’s size also spreads exposure across products and geographies. That diversification does not remove risk. Apple identifies tariffs, foreign-exchange movements and consumer demand as factors that can affect results, while the Greater China decline illustrates that regional weakness can persist even when total sales rise.

CoreWeave’s revenue trend: exceptional expansion from a small base
Reported acceleration
CoreWeave’s revenue increased from $229 million in calendar 2023 to $1.915 billion in 2024 and $5.131 billion in 2025. Those reported figures imply approximately 736% growth in 2024 and approximately 168% growth in 2025. The rate slowed in percentage terms because the starting base became larger, yet the 2025 dollar increase was still about $3.216 billion.
CoreWeave describes its business as providing cloud computing services, including compute enabled by software and infrastructure optimized for AI and high-performance computing. As customers sought large amounts of accelerated computing capacity, bringing more data-center resources online translated into rapid revenue growth. This is a capacity-expansion story as much as a conventional software growth story: revenue depends on financing equipment, securing facilities, deploying systems and keeping them utilized.
Why the percentage needs context
Adding $1.686 billion to a $1.915 billion business produces a much larger percentage than adding $25.126 billion to a $391.035 billion business. CoreWeave’s 168% rate is impressive, but it cannot be extrapolated mechanically. The company itself warns in its risk factors that “Our recent growth may not be indicative of our future growth.” That statement is especially relevant when growth depends on a young market, a limited number of very large customers and continued access to capital and data-center capacity.
CoreWeave’s revenue is also not equivalent to free cash flow. Servers, networking equipment, power, facilities and financing create costs before and during deployment. A rapidly rising sales line can coexist with heavy investment and losses, which is exactly what the 2025 results show.
Business mix: ecosystem spending versus AI infrastructure consumption
Apple’s multi-category model
Apple monetizes a portfolio of consumer hardware and digital services. iPhone supplied the largest disclosed share of fiscal-2025 sales, while Services supplied more than $100 billion and grew faster. Mac, wearables and accessories add additional purchase cycles and use cases. This mix means a weak product category does not automatically determine the company’s consolidated result, although product launches and replacement cycles still matter.

- Flawless 4K@60Hz Video with HDMI: Delivers exceptional clarity and smoothness with its 4K@60Hz HDMI port, making it ideal for high-definition presentations and entertainment. (Note: Only the HDMI port supports video projection; the USB-C port is for data transfer only.)

The model also creates cross-business relationships: devices can support Services usage, and Services can make the broader ecosystem more valuable. The filing figures do not establish that every user or device produces recurring revenue, so the practical takeaway is diversification rather than guaranteed retention.
CoreWeave’s infrastructure model
CoreWeave sells compute capacity and related cloud services to organizations that need intensive workloads. Revenue rises when customers consume more capacity under their agreements and when CoreWeave brings enough supply online to serve them. The model can scale quickly when demand and contracted capacity expand together, but it is more capital-intensive than a purely digital product: hardware must be purchased, installed, powered and replaced.
Demand is tied to AI and high-performance-computing workloads rather than consumer device replacement. That can produce very large orders, but it also increases exposure to a small number of customers and to changes in model-training methods, chip availability, power supply, financing conditions and data-center construction timelines.
Profitability separates fast growth from proven scale
| Profitability measure | Apple fiscal 2025 | CoreWeave calendar 2025 |
|---|---|---|
| Reported bottom line | $112.010 billion net income | $1.167 billion net loss |
| Approximate net margin calculated from reported revenue and bottom line | 26.9% | −22.7% |
| Interpretation | Growth accompanied by substantial earnings generation | Growth accompanied by a reported loss and ongoing investment needs |
The margins in the table are simple calculations from each company’s reported annual revenue and bottom-line figure; they are not forecasts or adjusted profitability measures. Apple converted its 2025 sales into $112.010 billion of net income. CoreWeave lost $1.167 billion while revenue was rising rapidly. That contrast matters because profitable growth can fund expansion internally, whereas a loss-making infrastructure provider may need debt, equity, asset financing or additional customer commitments to keep expanding.
A loss does not prove that CoreWeave’s model cannot work. It does mean that revenue growth alone has not yet demonstrated an economically mature business. The key follow-up questions are whether additional capacity earns attractive returns, whether utilization remains high after deployment, and whether operating costs and financing expenses decline relative to revenue. The cited annual figures do not answer those future questions.

Visibility and concentration: contracted revenue has two sides
CoreWeave’s committed contracts
CoreWeave reported that 98% of 2025 revenue related to customer commitments. It also disclosed $60.7 billion of unsatisfied remaining performance obligations at December 31, 2025. These figures provide more visibility than a business that relies entirely on month-to-month demand: customers have made contractual commitments, and the company has obligations to deliver services under those arrangements.
Remaining performance obligations are not the same as cash already collected or revenue that must arrive on a fixed timetable regardless of circumstances. Delivery depends on CoreWeave having the required capacity, meeting contractual terms and customers continuing to perform. Contract modifications, delays, cancellations, service levels and implementation timing can affect when obligations become revenue. Treat the amount as contracted visibility, not a guaranteed forecast.
The Microsoft concentration
About 67% of CoreWeave’s 2025 revenue came from Microsoft. A large anchor customer can support financing and provide predictable utilization, but concentration creates a single-customer risk that Apple does not face to the same degree in its consolidated revenue. A change in that customer’s purchasing plans, infrastructure strategy, negotiating position or ability to use the contracted capacity could have an outsized effect on CoreWeave.
The combination is therefore unusual: CoreWeave has high contractual visibility and high customer concentration at the same time. Commitments can make near-term demand easier to see, while concentration makes the consequences of one relationship changing more severe.

If “stronger” means durable, profitable scale
Apple has the stronger demonstrated trajectory. Its revenue is about 81 times larger on the latest annual figures, it generated $112.010 billion of net income, and its sales are spread across iPhone, Services, Mac, wearables and accessories and multiple regions. Services growth adds a faster-growing recurring component without changing the fact that the company already operates at profitable scale.
CoreWeave has not yet shown the same durability. Its growth is supported by customer commitments, but it remains unprofitable and relies heavily on one customer. The company’s own warning that recent growth may not represent future growth argues against treating 168% as a normal run rate.
A decision framework for comparing them
- Normalize the periods. Keep Apple’s fiscal-year results separate from CoreWeave’s calendar-year results; do not imply that the companies covered identical months.
- Start with dollars, then percentages. Compare the absolute increase and the starting base before judging which growth rate is economically larger.
- Check the mix. For Apple, examine iPhone, Services, Mac, Wearables, Home and Accessories and regional performance. For CoreWeave, examine contracted compute demand and the capacity needed to deliver it.
- Test profitability. Revenue acceleration is more valuable when it produces earnings and cash that can fund the next stage of expansion.
- Measure visibility against concentration. CoreWeave’s commitments and remaining performance obligations improve visibility, while Microsoft’s roughly 67% share increases dependency.
- Assess execution requirements. CoreWeave must finance and deploy data-center capacity; Apple must manage supply chains, launches, services adoption and global demand.
What could interrupt each company’s trend?
Apple’s principal sensitivities
- Consumer demand: device purchases and upgrades can weaken when customers defer spending.
- Tariffs and supply-chain costs: policy changes can raise costs or alter product economics.
- Currency: exchange-rate movements affect reported results from international markets.
- Regional and category weakness: Greater China and Wearables, Home and Accessories declined in fiscal 2025 even as total sales increased.
These risks are meaningful, but Apple’s category and geographic breadth gives a single weak market less power to determine the entire revenue line.

- AI-demand changes: spending could slow, workloads could become more efficient, or customers could alter their infrastructure strategies.
- Financing: a capital-intensive expansion requires continued access to funding on workable terms.
- Data-center capacity: power, sites, equipment and deployment schedules can limit how quickly contracted demand becomes delivered revenue.
- Customer concentration: dependence on Microsoft means one relationship can materially affect results.
- Profitability pressure: losses can persist if depreciation, energy, hosting and financing costs grow as fast as revenue.
These are not predictions that any particular event will occur. They are the operating dependencies that make CoreWeave’s trajectory harder to evaluate from revenue growth alone.
How to read the next filings without overclaiming
For Apple, watch whether Services continues to outgrow the consolidated business, whether iPhone and Mac maintain their contribution, and whether regional declines broaden. A stable total can contain significant mix changes, so the category and geography tables matter as much as the headline percentage.
For CoreWeave, compare revenue growth with net income or loss, capital spending and the pace at which commitments are converted into delivered services. Track the share of revenue from major customers rather than assuming that a large remaining-performance-obligation balance eliminates risk. Also distinguish newly signed commitments from revenue recognized during the period.
Neither company’s filings justify a precise forward growth rate. Apple’s 6% fiscal-2025 increase is a description of a completed year, not a promise of the next one. CoreWeave’s 168% calendar-2025 increase is even less suitable as a forecast because it follows an unusually small base and a rapid capacity build-out.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteBottom line for readers comparing Apple with CoreWeave
Choose the comparison that matches the question. CoreWeave is the faster-growing revenue story, with approximately 168% growth in 2025 and a large pipeline of contracted obligations. Apple is the stronger proven revenue engine: roughly $416 billion of annual sales, substantial net income, a diversified product-and-services mix and far greater scale. CoreWeave’s opportunity is tied to continued AI infrastructure demand and successful, well-financed deployment; its limitations are the current loss, concentration in Microsoft and the uncertainty the company itself attaches to its recent growth.
