What will Patil oversee?
Anthropic said Patil would lead engineering across six areas:
- Product
- Compute
- Infrastructure
- Inference
- Data science
- Security
The company framed the appointment around scaling Claude for enterprise demand. In Anthropic’s October 7 announcement, co-founder and President Daniela Amodei said the company had grown to serve “over 300,000 business customers.” That customer figure is Anthropic’s stated count, not an independently audited measurement.
