Verdict: The Anker PowerHouse 767 is a strong 2kWh-class power station for RVs, vans, campsites, mobile work and outage backup when you need high output, fast AC charging and wheels. Independent tests delivered about 1.77–1.80kWh through the AC inverter, while the 2,400W maximum output can run demanding appliances. Its 30.5kg weight, high-load fan noise and purchase cost make it a poor choice for frequent stair carrying, silent rooms or buyers prioritising the lightest current design.

The same hardware is sold in several markets as the Anker SOLIX F2000. Specifications, warranty terms, included accessories and charging limits can vary by region, so check the exact nameplate and local product page before ordering.

What the PowerHouse 767 is

The PowerHouse 767 is Anker’s large, wheeled portable battery generator. Its cells are rated at 2,048Wh, it can supply up to 2,400W from its AC inverter, accepts up to 1,440W of AC charging and up to 1,000W of solar input, and includes a 20ms uninterruptible-power-supply (UPS) function according to Anker’s current manual and product documentation. In markets that use the SOLIX naming system, the product is called the F2000 rather than PowerHouse 767.

Those headline figures describe the battery and inverter, not the energy a load will receive. The AC inverter consumes some energy, and efficiency changes with load, temperature, cable losses and the battery’s protection limits. Real testing is therefore more useful than dividing 2,048Wh by a device’s wattage.

Core specifications

Specification PowerHouse 767 / SOLIX F2000 Qualification
Cell capacity 2,048Wh Anker’s rated capacity in current documentation
Maximum AC output 2,400W Regional pages may describe continuous-output limits differently
AC charging input Up to 1,440W Manual figure; verify the local electrical version
Solar input Up to 1,000W Manual figure; actual harvest depends on conditions
USB-C output Up to 100W Useful for many laptops and tablets without an AC adapter
UPS transfer time 20ms Test sensitive equipment rather than assuming every device will ride through a transfer
Weight Approximately 30.5kg (67lb) Portable primarily by wheels and trolley handle
Dimensions Approximately 52.5 × 25.0 × 39.5cm Allow clearance for the handle, wheels and ventilation
Maximum measured noise 55.7dB(A) Computer Bild measurement during high-power operation or rapid charging

The table combines the manufacturer’s current figures with independent measurements. A specification shown on a retailer page can belong to a different regional bundle, so match the model number, input rating and included cables to your market.

How much energy you really get

Notebookcheck pulled approximately 1,800Wh from the AC socket at a roughly 250W load before the unit shut down, about 88% of the 2,048Wh nominal rating. In that test, a 30W load ran for about 60 hours. Computer Bild measured 1.774kWh of removable capacity. Both results are test observations under stated conditions, not guarantees for every appliance or temperature.

The difference between 1.774 and 1.800kWh is normal for independent testing: meters, load levels, cutoff settings and conversion efficiency all affect the result. USB outputs can have a different efficiency path from AC, and a small device left plugged in may draw standby power even when it is not doing useful work.

Illustrative AC runtime

The following estimates use 1,800Wh delivered through the AC outlet, the approximate Notebookcheck result. Divide that figure by the appliance’s average draw; a device’s label wattage is often its maximum or charging rate rather than its continuous average.

Average AC load Simple estimate from 1,800Wh Typical interpretation
30W About 60 hours Small network equipment, lights or a low-power monitor
60W About 30 hours A laptop and accessories at a moderate sustained draw
100W About 18 hours Several electronics or a refrigerator averaging 100W while its compressor runs
500W About 3.6 hours High-power kitchen or workshop equipment used continuously
1,000W About 1.8 hours A heater or cooking appliance at a steady 1,000W
2,400W About 45 minutes At the maximum output rating; heat and protection limits become important

These are arithmetic examples, not promises. Add a margin for inverter overhead, cold temperatures, battery age and devices that cycle. A refrigerator may average far less than its compressor’s running wattage but can demand a brief startup surge; measure the appliance with a plug-in power meter if an outage plan depends on it. A laptop may run for many hours from USB-C at 30–60W, while an AC charger adds conversion losses. For a precise plan, record the appliance’s watt-hours over a full day and compare that number with roughly 1.77–1.80kWh of measured AC energy rather than the 2,048Wh label.

Output capability and appliance compatibility

The 2,400W maximum AC output is the 767’s main advantage over smaller battery packs. GearJunkie’s Riley Marshall used one in a van with a blender, coffee machine, monitor, toaster and air fryer and wrote that “This portable 2,048Wh / 2,400W power station could effectively replace the electrical system in my van.” That is a reviewer’s assessment of a particular setup, not a guarantee that every combination can run simultaneously.

Before plugging in an appliance, total its continuous wattage and leave headroom. Heating elements such as kettles, toasters and air fryers consume close to their rated power for long periods. Motors and compressors can draw more during startup; the supplied specifications do not establish a universal surge figure, so check the local manual for the surge limit and test the exact appliance. If the overload warning appears, switch off the heaviest load, let the station cool and restart one device at a time.

USB-C and low-power electronics

The 100W USB-C outputs can power or charge many USB-C laptops directly, avoiding the AC inverter’s extra conversion step. Confirm your computer’s required USB Power Delivery profile and use a cable rated for the intended power. Devices that need more than 100W, proprietary charging signals or an AC brick must use an appropriate outlet and may run for less time than a USB-C estimate.

Charging from the wall and from solar

AC charging

Anker’s manual lists up to 1,440W of AC charging. Computer Bild reported a full recharge in about 85 minutes in its test, with input reaching up to 2,145W under that regional setup. Because that measured input exceeds the manual’s 1,440W figure, treat the 85-minute result as market- and configuration-specific rather than a universal promise. Your wall circuit, voltage, firmware, temperature and charge setting can all produce a longer time.

Use the supplied AC cable and a grounded outlet capable of the station’s local input. Do not run a high-power charger through an undersized extension lead or a circuit already carrying heaters and kitchen appliances. Keep the intake and exhaust clear while charging; the cooling fan can become audible even when no load is connected.

Solar charging

The manual permits up to 1,000W of solar input and specifically describes connecting as many as five Anker 531 200W panels. Actual power varies with sunlight angle, cloud, shading, panel temperature, cable length and the panel’s voltage/current limits. Five 200W panels are a maximum configuration, not a guarantee that the station will receive 1,000W at every moment.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Confirm polarity, connector compatibility and the local input voltage range before connecting panels. Place panels where they cannot be driven over, keep cables dry and avoid connecting or disconnecting under conditions that could create a short. If your region’s bundle includes fewer panels or a different connector, follow that bundle’s manual rather than copying a diagram from another market.

Expansion batteries

Anker identifies compatible expansion batteries, including the Anker 760 Expansion Battery, for increasing stored energy. The number of expansion units, supported firmware and cable requirements depend on the regional package. Confirm compatibility on the exact local product page and manual before buying; do not mix an unapproved battery or connector simply because its voltage appears similar. Expansion adds runtime but also adds weight, cost and charging time.

Portability, dimensions and noise

At about 30.5kg, the 767 is not a carry-upstairs power bank. Its 52.5 × 25.0 × 39.5cm body is manageable in a vehicle or garage, and the trolley handle and wheels make level-ground movement substantially easier. Notebookcheck found rolling much easier than carrying, while lifting the station into a vehicle still required strength. Measure your hatch opening and storage compartment, and account for the handle’s operating space.

Noise depends on what the station is doing. Notebookcheck found it nearly silent at low output. Computer Bild measured up to 55.7dB(A) during high-power operation or rapid charging. That is noticeable in a tent, bedroom or quiet recording space, particularly when the cooling fan ramps up. Place the unit on a solid, ventilated surface and keep it away from sleeping areas if heavy loads or fast charging will run overnight.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

UPS behavior for outages

The 767 includes a 20ms UPS function. In UPS mode, mains power normally feeds connected equipment while the battery remains ready to take over when the supply fails. A 20ms transfer is fast enough for many consumer electronics, routers and monitors, but some desktop computers, audio equipment, medical devices and motor controllers can still reset. Test the complete setup before relying on it: connect the actual equipment, simulate a mains interruption and check for reboots or alarms.

A UPS is not the same as a permanently installed home generator. Keep loads within the inverter rating, do not back-feed a household circuit through a wall outlet, and use a qualified electrician for any transfer switch or fixed wiring. For a refrigerator, verify both startup behavior and the station’s ventilation over a multi-hour trial.

Setup checklist for a first use

  1. Identify the regional model. Photograph the nameplate and confirm whether it is labelled PowerHouse 767 or SOLIX F2000. Record the local AC input rating, output limits and warranty terms.
  2. Inspect the unit. Check the case, wheels, handle, ports and cables for shipping damage. Do not energise a battery that is swollen, cracked, wet or unusually hot.
  3. Choose a safe location. Use a dry, stable, ventilated surface with clearance around the cooling openings. Keep combustible materials away from hot exhaust air.
  4. Charge from AC first. Connect the supplied cable directly to a suitable grounded outlet. Watch the display for input power and charging status; stop if the cable or plug becomes hot.
  5. Install the control app only if your region supports it. Pair the station using the instructions for your market, update firmware when offered and review charge limits before connecting expensive equipment. App screens and features can change by region.
  6. Test a small load. Start with a lamp or laptop, confirm the output remains stable and note the station’s displayed wattage. This establishes a baseline before you add a high-surge appliance.
  7. Test the intended appliance individually. Record startup and running watts, then combine loads only after each one works alone. Leave headroom below the maximum output.
  8. Configure UPS operation deliberately. Connect the equipment, enable the UPS mode specified by the local manual and perform a controlled mains-outage test.
  9. Add solar or an expansion battery only after the base unit works. Verify connector polarity, voltage and approved accessories, then monitor input power and temperature during the first session.

Where the 767 makes sense

RV and van travel

The combination of roughly 2kWh of usable AC energy, 2,400W output and wheels suits a van conversion or RV that needs induction cooking, coffee equipment, tools, monitors and intermittent refrigeration without running an engine-mounted generator. Solar input can replenish energy during a multi-day stop, while an expansion battery can extend evening and overnight use. Plan for the station’s mass and for fan noise inside a confined vehicle.

Camping and events

For base-camp equipment, food preparation and lighting, the 767 can replace several smaller battery packs and avoid fuel handling. It is less attractive for backpacking or sites where every kilogram must be carried from a car. Keep the station protected from rain and condensation; rolling transport does not make it weatherproof.

Mobile work

USB-C charging can keep a laptop and networking gear running for a workday or longer, and the UPS function can protect a desk setup from brief interruptions. Estimate energy from the entire workstation, including monitors, docks and routers, rather than from the laptop’s battery rating alone.

Home outage backup

The 767 can support selected loads such as a refrigerator, modem, lights and medical or communications equipment if each device has been tested and the total energy budget is realistic. It cannot power an entire house indefinitely. Prioritise essential circuits, stagger high-wattage appliances and recharge from solar or the wall when conditions permit.

How it compares with other 2kWh-class stations

Capacity alone does not determine value. Use the following checklist when comparing the 767 with newer or lighter models; local prices and availability can change faster than published rankings.

Comparison point What the 767 establishes What to verify on another model

Costs, ownership and practical trade-offs

A large battery costs more than a compact power bank because you are buying cells, a high-power inverter, cooling hardware, charging electronics and a rolling chassis. The available data does not establish a single current price, and local promotions or bundles can change the value substantially. Compare the delivered price of the station, expansion battery, solar panels and replacement cables as one system.

Troubleshooting common problems

The station shuts down before the label capacity is used

Check the load and measurement method first. AC conversion losses mean 1.77–1.80kWh is a realistic independent result rather than 2,048Wh at the socket. A high surge, cold battery, blocked ventilation or an overload can trigger protection earlier. Reduce the load, allow the fan to cool the unit and test again with a simple, steady appliance.

Charging is slower than 85 minutes

The 85-minute Computer Bild result used a regional setup with input up to 2,145W. The manual’s stated AC limit is up to 1,440W, and household voltage, charge settings, temperature and circuit capacity can reduce input further. Check the display for actual watts, remove other loads from the circuit and use the correct local cable and outlet.

Solar input is low

Inspect shading, panel orientation, connector seating and cable length. Cloud, heat and low sun can reduce output dramatically. Confirm that the array voltage is inside the 767’s permitted range and that the station is not already limiting input because the battery is nearly full or too hot.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

A refrigerator or tool will not start

Its startup surge may exceed the inverter’s permitted surge even when running watts look acceptable. Test with a power meter that captures peak demand, start the appliance with other loads disconnected and consult the local manual for surge specifications. Do not repeatedly cycle an appliance that causes an overload warning.

The fan is louder than expected

High output and rapid charging generate heat. Move the station into open air, clear the vents, lower the load or choose a slower charging setting if the regional controls allow it. A measured maximum of 55.7dB(A) is consistent with audible fan operation, not a fault by itself.

UPS equipment reboots

Confirm UPS mode is enabled, test the actual mains outlet and check whether the device tolerates a 20ms transfer. Some computers, audio systems and medical devices need a different UPS design. Use a dedicated, certified UPS for equipment that cannot tolerate even a brief interruption.

Who should buy the PowerHouse 767?

Choose it when your priority is a high-output, roughly 2kWh station that can roll into a van or campsite, recharge quickly from AC, accept substantial solar input and support approved expansion batteries. It is particularly suitable for RV and van users, mobile workers with a full desk setup, campers running kitchen appliances and households preparing a tested set of outage loads.

Look elsewhere when you must carry the battery up stairs, require near-silent operation during sustained heavy loads, or find a newer 2kWh model that delivers similar output at materially lower weight. Before purchase, verify the regional model name, input and output ratings, expansion support, warranty, current price and stock.

Final verdict

The Anker PowerHouse 767, also sold as the Anker SOLIX F2000, remains a capable large portable power station rather than a lightweight emergency power bank. Its tested AC energy of roughly 1.77–1.80kWh, 2,400W maximum output, fast charging options, 1,000W solar ceiling, wheels and 20ms UPS cover demanding mobile and backup scenarios. The compromises are substantial mass, audible cooling at high loads, conversion losses and the cost of building a complete system with panels or expansion batteries. For buyers who can roll it instead of carry it and who value output and recharge speed, it is a persuasive choice; for stair-bound or silence-sensitive users, those trade-offs outweigh the capacity.
