For a damage-first Update 5 lineup, start with Baldy or King of Curses. The strongest published SS group also includes Leona (Incarnate) [Max Passive], Falcon (Reincarnated), Shanks (Conqueror) [Max Passive], Toejì (Sorcerer Killer) – Spear [Max Passive], Hero Slayer (Monster), and Berserker (Vengeance). This is an unofficial snapshot based on August 2026 coverage, not a permanent or developer-issued ranking.
Your best choice can change when you value boss damage, area coverage, control, support, income, access to a max passive, or performance in new Update 5 content. Use the damage table for a straightforward DPS decision, then use the role-aware tiers and upgrade plan to build a team that fits your mode.

Which unit is best in Anime Final Strike?
King of Curses is the clearest conventional damage winner in the published figures. Beebom lists 18,383.14 DPS for King of Curses, ahead of every unit with a finite number in that table. Baldy is also placed at the top, but its Attack, Range, Attack Speed, and DPS cells are displayed as infinite rather than as a normal measured value. That makes Baldy a special-case or uncapped listing, not proof of a directly comparable “infinite DPS” test result.

- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
If you are choosing from units you can actually field and upgrade, compare King of Curses with Leona (Incarnate) [Max Passive], Falcon (Reincarnated), and Shanks (Conqueror) [Max Passive]. Their published figures are finite, clearly stated, and easier to compare. A player who needs a particular form, passive, or role may still get more practical value from another SS or S+ unit.
SS units ranked by published DPS
The following numbers are the figures displayed by Beebom in 2026. They are editorial table values, and the conditions behind each number are not specified in the available coverage. Keep the form and passive qualifier attached to each name: changing an evolution or using a non-max passive version can materially change the placement.
| Rank context | Unit | Published DPS | Decision use |
|---|---|---|---|
| Special case | Baldy | Attack, Range, Attack Speed, and DPS shown as infinite | Top damage-first placement, but not a finite benchmark |
| 1 among finite figures | King of Curses | 18,383.14 DPS | Strongest conventional damage target in the table |
| 2 | Leona (Incarnate) [Max Passive] | 12,426.20 DPS | High-end damage when the max passive version is available |
| 3 | Falcon (Reincarnated) | 10,801.00 DPS | Top SS damage option with the Reincarnated form |
| 4 | Shanks (Conqueror) [Max Passive] | 10,152.00 DPS | Powerful max-passive choice for a damage roster |
| 5 | Toejì (Sorcerer Killer) – Spear [Max Passive] | 9,105.30 DPS | Use the Spear form and max passive specified by the list |
| 6 | Hero Slayer (Monster) | 8,309.10 DPS | Solid SS damage without a max-passive qualifier in the published name |
| 7 | Berserker (Vengeance) | 8,201.00 DPS | Another high-damage SS option in the listed Vengeance form |
Baldy: how to interpret the uncapped entry
Do not insert “infinite DPS” into a normal comparison as if it were a measured run. Beebom’s table shows infinite entries for all four displayed statistics. The defensible conclusion is that Baldy is presented as an uncapped or exceptional listing and belongs in the top damage conversation. For resource planning, test whether your version, trait, passive, and mode allow that behavior before committing every upgrade resource.

King of Curses: the practical damage benchmark
King of Curses has the highest finite DPS number supplied by the published table. That makes it the simplest answer when someone asks for the best damage unit and does not need a role-specific qualification. It does not establish that King of Curses wins every map or mode: the available figures do not state placement cost, attack pattern, range, cooldown, target limits, or utility.
Why the qualifiers matter
“[Max Passive]” is part of the ranked unit name, not optional decoration. The same warning applies to Incarnate, Reincarnated, Conqueror, Spear, Monster, and Vengeance forms. Compare like with like, and verify that you own the stated evolution or passive before treating the row as your expected result.
S+ units worth upgrading
Stealthy Gaming places six units in S+: Toejì (Sorcerer Killer) – Katana [Max Passive], Gojoe (Strongest Sorcerer) [Max Passive], Cyborg (Advanced), Naname (Overtime) [Max Passive], Ace (Prisoner) [Max Passive], and Majesty (Actuation). They sit below the reproduced SS group in a damage-first hierarchy, but that does not make them poor investments.

- Sleek 7-in-1 USB-C Hub: Features an HDMI port, two USB-A 3.0 ports, and a USB-C data port, each providing 5Gbps transfer speeds. It also includes a USB-C PD input port for charging up to 100W and dual SD and TF card slots, all in a compact design.
- Flawless 4K@60Hz Video with HDMI: Delivers exceptional clarity and smoothness with its 4K@60Hz HDMI port, making it ideal for high-definition presentations and entertainment. (Note: Only the HDMI port supports video projection; the USB-C port is for data transfer only.)
- Double Up on Efficiency: The two USB-A 3.0 ports and a USB-C port support a fast 5Gbps data rate, significantly boosting your transfer speeds and improving productivity.
- Fast and Reliable 85W Charging: Offers high-capacity, speedy charging for laptops up to 85W, so you spend less time tethered to an outlet and more time being productive.
- What You Get: Anker USB-C Hub (7-in-1), welcome guide, 18-month warranty, and our friendly customer service.
- Toejì (Sorcerer Killer) – Katana [Max Passive] is a different form from the SS Spear entry. Do not merge the two rows when planning an evolution.
- Gojoe (Strongest Sorcerer) [Max Passive], Naname (Overtime) [Max Passive], and Ace (Prisoner) [Max Passive] all require attention to the max-passive qualifier.
- Cyborg (Advanced) and Majesty (Actuation) are listed by their named forms, so use those forms when checking your inventory.
Stealthy Gaming’s upgrade advice is to invest heavily in SS and S+ units in the late game, especially when they also have top traits. An S+ unit can be the right spend when it is already evolved, has a better trait than your SS alternative, fills a missing role, or performs better on the map and mode you play.

Role-aware choices: S and A tiers
The unofficial Anime Final Strike Wiki’s August 14, 2026 snapshot places Ichiru Masked, Yuneko, Akoza, Vesh, and Fire Hashira in S tier. It places Ulquiora, Sasoke (Hebi), Namu, Ice Admiral, Acu, Zeni, and Black Roku in A tier.
That list explicitly treats S-tier value as broader than raw damage: a unit can earn its place through DPS, area coverage, boss pressure, utility, or income. Therefore, a damage-only table should not be used to dismiss every S or A unit. A role-focused unit may improve the entire team even when it has no published DPS figure in the available tables.

When an S-tier unit is the better choice
- Choose Ichiru Masked, Yuneko, Akoza, Vesh, or Fire Hashira when the role identified by your mode matters more than a leaderboard-style damage number.
- Prefer a role-aware unit when your current lineup lacks control, support, income, area coverage, or reliable boss pressure.
- Use an S unit that already has the required trait or evolution instead of delaying progress for an SS unit you cannot fully activate.
How to use A-tier units
Ulquiora, Sasoke (Hebi), Namu, Ice Admiral, Acu, Zeni, and Black Roku are practical options when your account is still developing or when a map favors their role. A-tier does not mean unusable; it means they sit below the cited S and SS groups in that snapshot. Their value can rise with a suitable trait, passive, map, mode, or team composition.

There is no single official ranking to average. Beebom and Stealthy Gaming reproduce the same SS group for early Update 5 damage, while a comparison page records different priorities from other coverage. It reports Beebom favoring Baldy and King of Curses, a DomiBlox video favoring a new Ichigo form for overall damage, and another source favoring Ichiru Masked, Yuneko, Akoza, Vesh, and Fire Hashira.

- Raw damage: finite DPS figures favor King of Curses and the other measured SS entries.
- Uncapped or exceptional behavior: Baldy’s displayed infinite cells require separate treatment.
- Role value: support, control, income, area coverage, and boss pressure can outweigh a lower damage number.
- Access: a max passive or evolved form may be unavailable to your account.
- Content fit: new Update 5 stages may reward a different range, target pattern, or utility profile than older content.
Do not average these lists into a fake consensus. First decide whether you are ranking damage, all-round team value, or a specific mode; then use the list that measures that objective.
Upgrade path from early game to end game
Stealthy Gaming gives a progression framework that works even when your inventory does not match the top rows exactly.
- Early game: use strong A- or B-tier units that you can deploy and upgrade consistently. Progress is usually more valuable than waiting for a perfect SS pull.
- Mid game: replace B- and C-tier units with S- and A-tier choices as you obtain them. Keep a unit if its trait, passive, or role clearly solves a stage problem.
- Late game: invest heavily in SS and S+ units. Prioritize the exact forms and max-passive versions named in the ranking rather than an unqualified base version.
- End game: concentrate on max-passive versions and top traits, then tune the lineup to the map, mode, and team composition. A lower-tier unit can remain correct if its trait or utility produces better results for that content.
How to choose between two units
Use this checklist before spending scarce upgrade materials:
- Define the job: Are you trying to maximize single-target damage, clear groups, pressure bosses, provide utility, or generate income?
- Check the exact form: Confirm Incarnate, Reincarnated, Conqueror, Spear, Katana, Monster, Vengeance, Advanced, Overtime, Prisoner, or Actuation where applicable.
- Confirm passive access: A row marked [Max Passive] describes that version, not every copy of the character.
- Compare what is actually measured: The supplied DPS numbers come from Beebom’s 2026 table; missing values are not evidence that a unit deals zero damage.
- Account for your map and mode: The published lists warn that content, traits, and team composition can change practical value.
- Protect your progression: Keep a dependable A- or B-tier unit until the replacement can perform at the required level.
How often will the tier list change?
Expect movement after balance patches, new units, new traits, and evolutions. Stealthy Gaming specifically warns that placements can change for those reasons. The comparison page’s Update 5.1 date, August 16, 2026, also shows how quickly a list can age during an update cycle.
When a new patch arrives, re-check three things before rebuilding your roster: whether a unit’s form or passive changed, whether new content rewards a different role, and whether the published ranking is still describing damage-first performance. Keep the update date next to any tier list you save or share.
Bottom line for Update 5
For the dated August 2026 damage snapshot, use Baldy as the exceptional uncapped entry and King of Curses as the strongest finite-DPS benchmark. Leona (Incarnate) [Max Passive], Falcon (Reincarnated), Shanks (Conqueror) [Max Passive], Toejì (Sorcerer Killer) – Spear [Max Passive], Hero Slayer (Monster), and Berserker (Vengeance) complete the SS damage group. S+ units are worthwhile upgrades, while S and A units can be superior when their role, trait, passive, map, or mode fits your team better.
