How AllTheStreams.fm reportedly worked
On March 11, 2020, BGR reported that AllTheStreams.fm drew programming from Netflix, Disney+, HBO Now, Prime Video, Showtime and Hulu. Viewers could move between channels or select a service feed, but they could not pick the particular program playing. The site’s appeal was therefore passive, channel-surfing-style viewing rather than free access to each service’s full catalogue.

BGR said the site could be accessed on PC and mobile at the time. That historical description does not confirm that the site currently works or that it remains compatible with any device.

Authorization was not established in BGR’s report. It quoted the unnamed AllTheStreams.fm site manifesto: “All The Streams doesn’t care about user-utility, it doesn’t care about scalability – and it certainly doesn’t care about terms of service!” That statement indicates the site’s stated attitude toward terms of service; it is not proof that every named service’s rules were violated or a court’s finding about copyright.

BGR characterized the service as “probably illegal.” That was the reporter’s assessment, not a legal ruling. The report does not establish the site’s current rights status, so it should not be treated as a currently available or verified lawful way to watch paid-service programming.
How it compares with current free streaming options
Free, ad-supported streaming is a separate model. Tom’s Guide’s guide, last updated February 14, 2026, describes services that offer films, shows and live channels without subscription fees, with advertising supporting the viewing. Its cited passage attributes an average of nine minutes of ads per hour to Wurl Analytics but does not specify the report year; that figure should not be read as a universal ad load for every service.

What to do if you want a particular show
Look up the title with its official rights-holder or streaming service and confirm availability in your country. The services named in the 2020 article do not establish where a particular show is available now, and the report provides no current title-specific availability or pricing.
