Storage: open clearance versus four drawers

- Install legs and supports. Fit foldable legs and any center supports exactly as shown. A leg that is folded or seated incorrectly can create rocking even when the outer frame looks straight.
- Square the frame. Measure diagonally from corner to corner or compare the two sides visually, then tighten opposite corners in stages.
- Fit the slats. Check that each reinforced slat engages its support and that no slat is bowed upward or left unsecured.
- Perform a load-free check. Press each corner and the center support gently. If it rocks, correct the leg height or joint alignment before adding the mattress.
- Recheck after use. Inspect bolts and screws after the first several nights and retighten as needed. The model-specific LFHHH007 manual specifically advises periodic retightening.
Four-drawer models take longer to tune

- Build the structural frame and verify that it is square before installing drawers.

Do you need a box spring?
No. The official open-storage listing and retailer materials for the drawer model state that a box spring is not required. The platform slats are intended to support the mattress directly.
That does not mean every mattress feels identical on the frame. Confirm that your mattress manufacturer permits platform-slat support and check any required slat spacing in the current Allewie manual. A box spring added on top raises the sleeping surface and may reduce the practical storage or headboard clearance that motivated the purchase.
Headboard compatibility and room planning
Headboard attachment provisions are a model-specific buying question. The available specifications do not establish a universal mounting pattern for every Allewie full-size metal frame. Before ordering a headboard, ask the seller for the hole spacing, bracket location, and required hardware for the exact model number.
