Alien: Isolation has no verified built-in cheat-code list. The useful answer to “cheats” is a set of reliable survival methods, collectible routes and achievement plans. Save only at designated points, craft under cover because crafting does not pause the game, and track collectibles from the start. The Xbox One achievement set has 50 achievements worth 1,000 Gamerscore; TrueAchievements estimates roughly 40–50 hours for all of them, depending on difficulty, platform and experience.
Are there official Alien: Isolation cheat codes?
No official password, button-code or developer-supported cheat table is documented in the game’s manual, storefront information or achievement references. That means you should not expect a menu where you enter a code for invincibility, unlimited ammunition or an instant Alien kill. Unofficial PC trainers may exist, but they are platform-specific, unsupported by the publisher and outside the verified game rules; they can also break saves, disable achievements or introduce security risks.

For a normal, achievement-eligible playthrough, treat “cheats” as shorthand for using the game’s systems intelligently. Sevastopol rewards patience more than firepower. Deliberate saving, controlled movement, careful crafting, distraction tools and a written collectible checklist are more dependable than searching for a secret code.
How Alien: Isolation’s survival systems really work
Save points are the risk-management system
The official manual states that saves are available only at designated save points distributed around the station. Saving takes several seconds, during which Amanda is exposed. Do not activate a terminal the moment you reach it: first listen for movement, check nearby hiding places and make sure the immediate route is clear. If the Alien, an android or a hostile human is close, move to cover and wait for a safer window.

When a save goes bad, use the previous-save or mission-save option rather than repeatedly loading the unsafe latest file. This is especially important on higher difficulties, where a single careless save can place you directly in a patrol path. Keep the habit of saving after a major objective, a difficult traversal or a successful collectible pickup, but never assume the save animation makes you safe.
Crafting is not a pause
Blueprints must be found before their associated items can be crafted. Crafting is opened from the radial menu, and the manual explicitly warns that the game continues while you craft. Components are therefore a commitment, not a menu-only decision. Open the radial menu only behind solid cover or after you have created enough distance to finish the animation.
Before committing materials, check the objective and the threats in the next room. A medikit can rescue a run that would otherwise require a reload; a noisemaker or flashbang can create an escape route; a pipe bomb or other offensive device may be wasteful if the real problem is simply crossing a monitored corridor. Save rare components for a planned objective instead of crafting automatically whenever the radial menu shows a recipe.

Use weapons to create distance, not to “kill the Alien”
The achievement list confirms that the flamethrower can be used to make the Alien retreat, but the available evidence does not support a universal method for killing it. Think of the flamethrower and crafted devices as deterrents and escape aids. Fire only long enough to open a route, then break line of sight and relocate; lingering in the same hiding area invites another search.
Human enemies and androids require different responses. Stealth, distractions and route planning often conserve more resources than a direct fight. When combat is unavoidable, use the weapon that matches the target and the space you have, while preserving enough ammunition and healing supplies for the next objective. The achievement set includes weapon-specific actions, so you may eventually need to use the flamethrower, bolt gun, shotgun and stun baton, but that does not make constant combat the safest way to progress.
A practical first-playthrough plan
- Choose a difficulty you can learn on. Adjustable difficulty is listed for the Steam version. A first run can prioritize understanding patrol behavior, save timing and crafting rather than attempting every challenge simultaneously.
- Learn each room before crossing it. Identify save points, lockers, vents, hiding spaces and alternate routes. Listen before opening doors or terminals; sound is often an earlier warning than the motion tracker.
- Keep a lightweight checklist. Record ID tags, archive logs, Nostromo logs and blueprints as you find them. Note the mission and area, not merely a running number, so a later cleanup is efficient.
- Spend resources according to the objective. Carry healing for unavoidable damage, retain deterrents for Alien encounters and avoid crafting in the open. A full inventory is not useful if the components were spent before the dangerous section.
- Save after meaningful progress. Wait for a quiet interval, complete the save animation and then continue. If a subsequent attempt fails, the deliberate save gives you a known starting point.
- Decide whether to combine challenges. A no-kill or no-death attempt can be done alongside story progression, but combining it with a first blind run increases pressure. Many players will learn the station first and pursue strict challenge conditions afterward.
What the 50 achievements cover
TrueAchievements lists 50 achievements worth 1,000 Gamerscore, with the page checked in 2026. The set mixes automatic story rewards with collectibles, cumulative actions, missable objectives and a hardest-difficulty completion. The categories below show what must be planned rather than simply completed through the story.

Collectible route: ID tags, archive logs, Nostromo logs and blueprints
ID tags
“The Missing” requires one ID tag, while “The Taken” requires all ID tags. Because tags are distributed through the station, write down the mission and room for every pickup. A checklist prevents the common mistake of remembering that an area was searched but not knowing which tag was actually collected.

“Voices of Sevastopol” requires 100 archive logs. Logs can be easy to overlook because they are accessed through terminals rather than placed as conspicuous objects. When entering a new room, inspect usable terminals before leaving, and mark the room once the relevant archive entry has been read.
Nostromo logs
“Archivist” requires 10 Nostromo logs. Keep these separate from the 100 archive logs in your notes: they are different collectible groups and should not be combined into one total. If your platform offers mission select, use it for targeted cleanup rather than replaying the entire campaign blindly.

Blueprints and the all-items requirement
Blueprints unlock recipes; they do not automatically grant “A True Engineer.” You must still gather components and craft one of every craftable item. Craft in a safe location, confirm the item completed, and record it. If an ingredient is scarce, avoid spending it on duplicate items before the checklist shows that recipe as complete.
How to approach the no-kill, no-death and Survivor achievements
“Mercy or Prudence?”: finish without killing humans
For a no-human-kill run, avoid weapons against human opponents and use stealth, alternate paths and distractions. A panic shot can invalidate a long attempt, so create distance before interacting with a terminal or opening a door near guards. The condition concerns killing humans; it does not turn every encounter into a combat requirement, and avoiding fights is generally the safer interpretation.

A no-death completion is less about speed than repeatable decisions. Save at every safe opportunity, learn which encounters can be bypassed and stop to recover before entering a high-risk section. If you die, restart from a clean planned save rather than improvising from a compromised position. Do not combine this attempt with aggressive collectible detours unless you already know the route.

“Survivor”: hardest difficulty
The hardest-difficulty achievement magnifies every other risk: resources are tighter, mistakes cost more and unsafe saves are harder to recover from. Use a route you already understand, prioritize objectives over optional exploration and reserve deterrents for encounters that block progress. A separate Survivor run is often more manageable than trying to learn the campaign and satisfy the highest difficulty requirement at the same time.

Story achievements are mostly earned through mission progress, while collectibles and cumulative actions demand tracking. Where your platform supports mission select, use it after the story to revisit missions containing missed ID tags, archive logs, Nostromo logs, blueprints, hacks or rewire points. Check the achievement tracker after each cleanup segment; do not assume a collectible counted merely because you interacted with a nearby object.
A practical two-phase plan is:
- Learning run: finish the story while practicing stealth, saving and crafting. Collect items naturally, but do not restart a mission repeatedly over one missed log.
- Cleanup or challenge run: target remaining collectibles and cumulative achievements, then attempt no-kill, no-death or Survivor conditions with a route built from your earlier knowledge.
This is a planning recommendation, not a claim that every platform requires multiple playthroughs. A careful player can combine several goals, while another player may prefer separate runs to avoid one mistake invalidating many hours.

How long does 100% completion take?
TrueAchievements estimates about 40–50 hours for all achievements on Xbox One, based on its page checked in 2026. That is an estimate, not a guaranteed timer: platform differences, chosen difficulty, familiarity with the station, deaths, collectible backtracking and whether you use separate challenge runs can all move the total higher or lower. A first blind playthrough followed by cleanup generally takes longer than a route planned from a complete checklist, while a Survivor attempt can add retries if an encounter repeatedly fails.
