For a low-risk Aion 2 PC setup, first make your most-used actions easy to reach, set target search to follow the front of your camera if that suits your aim, and lower Effect Quality and Mass Combat Quality if performance is your priority. Treat PvP targeting, pursuit, nameplates, and camera effects as personal choices: the right settings depend on your class, activity, hardware, and comfort.
Start with a few changes, not a complete reset
Aion 2 uses manual combat controls, so awkward bindings or a cluttered view can get in the way while you learn. Change one or two things, try them in ordinary play, and adjust only what remains inconvenient. The menu names below come from third-party PC settings guidance; exact labels and availability can differ by platform, region, language, or game update. Check the live client before relying on a particular option.

Make frequent actions comfortable to use
Open Key Settings and review actions you use often, especially movement and emergency actions. A binding is useful only if you can press it reliably while controlling your character.

- A side mouse button can be convenient for an action you need quickly, but a reachable keyboard key works just as well. You do not need a gaming mouse or a particular layout.
- Change a small number of bindings at a time, then practise before remapping the rest of your layout.
Mobalytics also mentions assigning a combat macro to right-click if that fits your controls. Treat that as optional rather than a beginner requirement; an unofficial Global guide likewise presents creator-derived key suggestions as starting points, not universal settings. Neither establishes that every client version behaves identically.

Choose targeting around your class and activity
Search direction
In targeting settings, try Search Direction = Front of Camera if you want target search to follow the direction you are looking. This can feel natural when you steer the camera toward a target, but it is a preference rather than a universal improvement.
PvP target priority
If you play PvP, consider placing hostile players ahead of spirit-related targets in target priority. That helps avoid selecting a less relevant target when opponents and spirits are close together. For PvE, or if your priorities differ, use the ordering that matches the targets you actually need to select.

Target pursuit
Target pursuit can make sense for melee builds that want to close distance when activating a skill. Ranged players who need to preserve spacing may prefer to leave it off. Try it in the content you play: the same behaviour that helps a melee character connect can be unwelcome when you are trying to hold distance.
Prevent unwanted buff use and reduce visual clutter
Automatic buff use
Set automatic buff use to In Combat if you want to avoid consuming buffs while travelling or preparing. One caveat from the settings guidance: in some control setups, left-click attacks can still trigger buff scrolls, so observe what happens in your own configuration.

Nameplates, pets, and combat numbers
These visibility options are situational. Hiding player or spirit nameplates, pets, or floating combat numbers can simplify a busy screen; keep whichever elements help you identify targets or understand combat. If directional awareness during boss encounters matters to you, enable boss orientation indicators.
Mass PvP readability
For crowded Abyss battles, the guidance suggests turning off tier icons above player names and enabling Identical Player Appearance. These changes simplify what you see in a dense fight; whether that trade-off helps depends on what visual information you want to retain.

Lower graphics settings selectively for performance
If you are prioritizing FPS, start by lowering Effect Quality and Mass Combat Quality, then judge the result in the scenes where you experience slowdown. Keep other settings at levels your PC handles comfortably rather than assuming every option needs to be set to minimum.

The available settings guidance does not provide controlled, per-setting FPS measurements. Any performance difference will depend on your hardware and the activity on screen, particularly how crowded a fight is; no specific frame-rate gain can be promised.

Use official FHD preset guidance as a baseline
NCSOFT’s support FAQ, dated July 21, 2026, gives preset guidance for compatibility at FHD: use Very Low with a PC at the minimum specifications and Low with a PC at the recommended specifications. These are published recommendations, not a guarantee of stable performance in every scene.
The same FAQ lists these PC requirements. Check NCSOFT’s Aion 2 system requirements for the current listing, since specifications and guidance can change.

Set camera effects for comfort
Turn Camera Shake off if you prefer a steadier view. If the bright transition during teleporting bothers you, try changing the teleport effect color to Dark. Both are comfort choices; the available guidance does not establish either as a tested competitive advantage.

A simple order for trying settings
- Open Key Settings and remap one or two awkward, frequently used actions.
- Try Search Direction = Front of Camera; then decide whether your class and activity call for PvP target-priority changes or target pursuit.
- Set automatic buff use to In Combat if you want to avoid using buffs while preparing, and adjust optional visibility settings only if the screen feels crowded.
- If performance is the concern, lower Effect Quality and Mass Combat Quality first. Use the official FHD preset guidance as a baseline if your PC is near the listed specifications.
- Turn off Camera Shake or darken the teleport effect only if those changes make the view more comfortable for you.
