As of October 2026, Aion 2’s official notices confirm that the auction house is active and that marketplace permissions can depend on membership, but they do not publish a current fee formula or a numeric listing cap. You can confirm the exact charge shown for your character only in the current game client or a newer notice for your service region. Do not treat a player-posted percentage as an official rule.
The practical distinction is between a registration charge, any fee applied when an item sells, cancellation or unsold-item handling, and membership eligibility. The material currently available establishes some of those categories, not their present rates or limits.

What the official record confirms
NCSOFT announced a unified auction house as part of the December 10, 2025 update. The announcement confirms the feature rollout, but it does not state a transaction rate, tax percentage, or active-listing limit. Which auction-house charges are known and which are not
Use the categories below when checking a listing. A charge appearing in one category should not be assumed to cover the others.

How membership affects buying and World Auction House access
On June 17, 2026, a PlayNC membership announcement described a 28-day membership product. Its benefit table changed buying from unavailable to available and listed buying and selling through the exchange, including the World Auction House, under the described membership. The notice listed 25,000 KRW in the Purple Store for that dated offer. That price is a product term, not an auction-house tax, and store pricing can vary by region or change later. A November 26, 2025 known-issue notice also addressed wording about auction-house membership benefits. It stated that players without the relevant membership could not buy, and that missing benefit wording was corrected. Do not generalize the Korean-store product description to every Aion 2 service. Before budgeting for an item, open the subscription details shown for your account, note the membership name and end date, and confirm whether the permission covers the standard marketplace, World Auction House, or both.
Are there listing limits?
A current numeric cap was not identified in the official pages reviewed. No reliable number can therefore be given for the maximum active listings, and there is no evidence here that the limit is shared across characters or accounts.
When the client displays a counter, record exactly what it measures: active listings, listings made during a period, or slots remaining. A message such as “limit reached” may apply to one marketplace or item category rather than the entire account. Also check whether completed sales free a slot immediately or only after settlement; the reviewed notices do not specify that behavior.

How to check the real cost before listing an item
- Open the game’s current Auction House or Exchange screen and select the marketplace named by the client. Do not assume that a standard marketplace and World Auction House use identical rules.
- Choose the item, quantity, duration, and asking price. If the interface offers a unit-price and total-price field, verify both before continuing.
- Read every line in the preview or confirmation panel. Look for wording such as registration fee, listing fee, commission, tax, settlement amount, or currency conversion.
- Write down the displayed fee and the amount you would receive if the item sells. Treat the displayed values as character-, region-, and time-specific rather than as a permanent rate.
- Check the active-listing counter before confirming. If a counter is absent, do not infer that listings are unlimited; the client may enforce a cap without showing a numeric total.
- Review the cancellation and expiry text, if present. It should say whether the registration charge is returned, retained, or changed when a listing is removed or expires.
- Confirm the listing only after comparing the net proceeds with the value you would get from keeping, trading, or selling the item elsewhere in the game.
- Capture a screenshot or note the date, server, marketplace, membership state, and displayed values. This record helps support staff investigate a later discrepancy.
How to calculate proceeds without inventing a rate
Use the values shown by your client rather than a community percentage. A simple worksheet can separate the unknown components:

gross proceeds = sale price × quantity
net proceeds = gross proceeds − registration fee − sale-side charge − any other amount shown at settlement
Leave a component blank when the interface does not show it. Do not substitute a rate from another game, an old screenshot, or a different Aion 2 region. If the game shows only a final net amount, retain that figure and ask support which component produced the difference.

Standard marketplace and World Auction House: what you can compare
The names can suggest different economies, but the reviewed official material does not provide numeric fee comparisons. Compare the two only with values visible in your current client.

Why player-posted fee numbers are unreliable
A September 2026 Reddit discussion titled “Questions about the auction house in Aion 2” contains player reports about fees and taxes: the discussion thread. Those reports are anecdotes, not an enforceable rule. They may describe a different server, a temporary display, an old client build, a membership state, or a misunderstanding between registration and settlement.

Troubleshooting unexpected charges or blocked actions
The registration fee is unusually high
First check the server and marketplace shown in the header, then cancel before confirming the listing. Compare the amount with another item only if doing so does not create a second charge. The November 2025 incident demonstrates that a server-specific abnormal fee has occurred; preserve the display, time, and character details and submit them through the game’s support channel if the amount still looks wrong.
You can browse but cannot buy
Open the account’s membership-benefit page and check the expiry date and entitlement name. Browsing access does not prove buying permission. If the account is subscribed but the button remains unavailable, sign out and back in, verify that the correct service region is selected, and attach the exact error text to a support request.
The client says the listing limit is reached
Count active listings on the character and account, including listings awaiting settlement. Cancel or settle an old listing only after reading the client’s refund warning. If the message appears with no visible counter, record the item type, marketplace, membership state, and timestamp; the official sources do not identify which dimension the cap uses.

A fee appears after the sale
Compare the original confirmation screenshot with the settlement record. Separate the registration amount from any later deduction instead of calling the entire difference a tax. If the game does not label the deduction, ask support for a transaction breakdown; do not calculate a universal percentage from one transaction.
A safe decision process for sellers and buyers
Before selling
- Confirm you are in the intended marketplace and service region.
- Check membership status if the client links selling or World Auction House access to a subscription.
- Record the registration amount, expected gross proceeds, and any visible settlement charge.
- Check the active-listing indicator and the expiry or cancellation rule.
- List only when the displayed net amount meets your minimum value.
Before buying
- Confirm that the account has buying permission, not merely browsing access.
- Check the final payable amount, quantity, and currency on the purchase confirmation.
- Verify whether the item is from the standard marketplace or World Auction House.
- Keep the transaction record until the item and currency arrive.
What would make a fee or cap claim authoritative?
The strongest evidence is a current in-client value tied to the exact action you are taking, followed by a dated official notice that names the service region and marketplace. A complete rule would need to state the registration charge, any sale-side commission, cancellation and expiry treatment, membership requirement, and the scope of the listing cap. Until those details are published together, treat each displayed value as conditional on your character, server, region, membership, and marketplace.
Because membership benefits and marketplace interfaces can change, recheck the subscription panel and listing confirmation whenever the game updates or your service region changes. The December 2025 rollout, the November 2025 fee incident, and the June 2026 membership description establish the feature’s history, not a permanent fee table.
