Age Of Fear 2: The Chaos Lord GOLD is a turn-based strategy/RPG from developer Leslaw Sliwko and publisher Age of Fear. Steam describes the series as “a deep and complex turn-based strategy (full of humour!) that fuses a tabletop wargame with RPG elements.” The GOLD listing supports Windows, macOS and Linux and includes Steam Achievements, Workshop support and cloud saves.

There are two dates associated with the release. Steam presents the GOLD release date as March 27, 2016, while SteamDB records the underlying App ID 341150 release timestamp as March 27, 2015. Those entries refer to different store and application records, so use the date shown on your own Steam library page when checking ownership or installation history.

Are there cheats or unlock codes?
No verified, official cheat-code list was located for Age Of Fear 2. A current dedicated WeMod page says it does not have cheats for the game. That is evidence that a maintained ready-made table is unavailable there, not proof that every executable, mod or unofficial tool can never alter gameplay.
Do not treat a generic trainer, Cheat Engine table or achievement manager as an official unlock code. Such tools can target a different build, damage saves, interfere with Steam synchronization or unlock achievements without satisfying the underlying condition. If you experiment with any third-party modification, make a separate local backup first and disable cloud synchronization temporarily so an unwanted save does not overwrite your clean campaign.
For a legitimate completion run, assume that achievements must be earned through normal play. The practical alternatives to “cheats” are choosing the right campaign order, reserving a Death Seeker run, checking secret-objective opportunities as you go and using Workshop Manager correctly for the upload achievement.

A practical two-campaign 100% route
Malantur’s Steam Community guide, published December 6, 2022, estimates roughly 15–20 hours for a complete achievement run and says the full set can be earned in two campaigns. Treat that duration as community experience, not a guaranteed completion time: difficulty choices, exploration, reloads and familiarity with the campaigns will change the result.
1. Assign one campaign to Death Seeker
Plan to win either campaign on Death Seeker difficulty. The achievement accepts any campaign, so you can choose the story route you understand better or reserve the harder setting for the run in which you are already tracking other objectives. Do not leave this requirement until a casual cleanup save unless you are prepared to replay a full campaign.

2. Finish both story campaigns
Your two mandatory campaign endpoints are The Demon’s Lover and The Horde. Complete one on the chosen Death Seeker run and the other on a difficulty that lets you explore and experiment comfortably. Keeping a separate save before major story decisions gives you a recovery point if an objective is overlooked, while cloud saves provide continuity across supported systems rather than a shortcut to completion.

3. Sweep secret and scenario objectives during the story
Several achievements are tied to discoveries or specific encounters rather than simply reaching a campaign ending. Watch for the secret chessboard and hidden Mimic, the Shadow Clan assault, the Underworld escape, the opportunity to recruit a minotaur, the golem-control milestone and the item or combat events listed in the table. The 2022 community route specifically recommends pursuing these deliberately instead of assuming they will occur automatically.
4. Create combat opportunities instead of rushing battles
Some conditions require a particular action: completely disintegrating an enemy, detonating a goblin sapper, taking control of an enemy, summoning a demon lord, defeating a pig or allowing your hero to be hurt. When a battle presents the relevant unit or ability, pause before delivering the final attack and verify that the required action has actually occurred. A tactical reload is safer than discovering after the mission that an ordinary kill did not satisfy a specialized condition.

5. Track persistent, non-combat requirements
Read the complete in-game guide for Scholar, accumulate 10,000 Gold coins for Treasurer, upgrade one unit to Elite and obtain the Razor Edge blade for Good Shave. These are easy to overlook because they may not align with the campaign ending. Check your roster, inventory and gold total between missions rather than assuming a story reward will supply the needed threshold or item.
6. Unlock Modder! through Workshop Manager
Modder! is not earned by changing a local configuration file. The community guide’s procedure is:
- Open the game’s Workshop Manager.
- Create a Workshop item using the manager’s creation flow.
- Upload that item to Steam Workshop.
Confirm that the upload completes and that the item appears as your Workshop submission. Because this depends on Steam connectivity and Workshop access, perform it while logged into the account on which you want the achievement recorded.

7. Handle the calendar-dependent achievement last
Summer Sale! requires playing during Summer Sale. It is tied to the event window, not to a campaign chapter, so it may be the only achievement you cannot force on demand. If the event is not active, finish the other requirements and return when the qualifying sale period is running.

The achievement did not appear immediately
Finish the current battle or mission, return to the main map or campaign screen and allow Steam a moment to synchronize. Check that Steam is online and that you are playing the same account that owns the game. Avoid repeatedly switching between offline and online modes while a save is still writing.
A Workshop upload failed
Verify that Steam is connected, Workshop access is available for the account and the item has finished uploading rather than remaining in a pending state. Reopen Workshop Manager and confirm the item is visible before restarting the game. If you used a local mod instead of the manager’s upload flow, it will not satisfy Modder!.
You missed a secret or encounter
Load the latest save before the relevant map or battle and repeat the objective. If no suitable save remains, record the missing requirement and target it in the second campaign. The two-campaign route is valuable because it provides a planned recovery run instead of forcing every specialized action into one blind playthrough.
Steam shows different release information
The March 27, 2015 timestamp in SteamDB and the March 27, 2016 date on Steam’s GOLD listing describe different layers of the release record. Neither date changes the achievement requirements or the supported operating systems.
What a complete run should include
Before calling the game complete, verify the Steam achievement page rather than relying on memory. You should have both campaign completions, one Death Seeker victory, every secret or scenario objective, the combat and recruitment conditions, the guide-reading, gold, Elite and Razor Edge requirements, a successful Workshop upload and the Summer Sale play condition. A two-campaign plan with a dedicated hard-difficulty run is the shortest evidence-backed route; unverified codes are not required.
