Yes. You can add another SiriusXM radio to an existing account, and it may qualify for a reduced rate—but the discount is conditional, and there is no single public price for every second subscription. Check your account’s Online Account Center for eligibility and the actual quote before activating. SiriusXM requires at least one active, full-price qualifying plan for its reduced rate, and some plans do not qualify.
What a second SiriusXM subscription can cost
SiriusXM does not publish a universal price for adding a second radio. The amount depends on the account’s qualifying plan and the offer shown to that subscriber. Check the additional-subscriptions guidance and your Online Account Center for the account-specific quote; review whether it is monthly or prepaid and what it will cost at renewal.

SiriusXM’s plans page displayed selected promotional offers, including $1 for three months, when observed on October 7, 2026. Those were promotions for selected plans, not a standard second-radio rate or proof that an account qualifies for a discount. Discount eligibility is conditional
SiriusXM says at least one subscription on the account must be an active, full-price qualifying plan to be eligible for—and maintain—a reduced rate on additional subscriptions. Some plans do not qualify. Changing the number of subscriptions or changing a plan could also affect future pricing, so confirm the terms presented for your account before making a change.

Promotions are not the renewal price
Displayed offers automatically renew at then-current rates until cancelled under the offer terms; applicable taxes and other fees may apply. SiriusXM’s Customer Agreement, last updated June 5, 2025, also describes recurring billing at rates in effect at renewal, plus applicable fees and taxes. Treat an introductory offer as temporary, not as the ongoing cost.
Compare the options for a second vehicle
The right choice depends on the vehicle’s radio, how you want to listen, and the quote and renewal terms in your account.

SiriusXM identifies portable and Dock & Play radios as options for a vehicle without an installed radio. Dock & Play units can be moved between a car and home, according to its multi-vehicle help page. Verify compatibility and availability before buying equipment.

How to add a radio that is already installed
- Register for or sign in to your SiriusXM account.
- Open the Subscriptions tab.
- In the Don’t see your subscription area, choose Find subscription.
- Enter the vehicle radio’s Radio ID and follow the prompts.
- Review the displayed price, renewal terms, and any applicable fees before completing activation.
This is the account flow described in SiriusXM’s instructions for listening in more than one vehicle. If you do not know the Radio ID, consult the radio or vehicle’s instructions for locating it; the specific method varies by equipment.

How to choose between another radio and app listening
App listening may be enough if the second vehicle can play audio from your phone and the plan you choose includes the channels and features you want. A separate radio subscription may suit a vehicle with compatible hardware when you want to listen through its satellite radio. These are different service setups: check programming for the specific plan and compare its account quote with the added equipment cost, if any.
- Choose a radio subscription if the vehicle has a compatible installed radio or you are prepared to buy compatible hardware.
- Consider app access if phone-to-car audio works for your setup and the plan’s programming meets your needs.
- Before committing, compare the account-specific price, qualifying-plan requirement, any hardware purchase, and the recurring renewal amount and fees.
What to verify before activating
- Whether your existing plan is an active, full-price qualifying plan.
- The actual price shown in your account for the additional subscription, including the renewal amount and billing frequency.
- Whether the vehicle already has a compatible radio, or needs separate hardware.
- Whether app listening meets your needs and is included in the plan you are considering.
- The offer’s cancellation terms, renewal rate, and applicable taxes or fees.
SiriusXM’s Customer Agreement says it may offer reduced rates for accounts with multiple qualifying subscriptions and may discontinue future availability of the discount. Check the displayed terms when enrolling rather than relying on a previous quote.
