There is no single Acer scanner driver for Windows 11. The right download depends on the exact scanner or Acer device model. Find the model first, then check Acer’s device-specific driver listing; if Acer does not offer a Windows 11 option, use Windows Update and Windows’ built-in scanner setup.
First, identify what “Acer scanner” means
The phrase can refer to a scanner made by Acer, a scanner connected to an Acer computer, or a multifunction printer connected to an Acer PC. Those are different cases. Acer’s Drivers and Manuals lookup is for downloads tied to an Acer product identifier; Windows’ scanner setup applies to a scanner connected to a Windows device. The title alone does not establish a specific driver version, release date, or Windows 11 compatibility.

- For an Acer-branded scanner or all-in-one, check the label on the device for its exact model and product identifier.
- For a scanner connected to an Acer computer, identify the scanner’s manufacturer and model. The computer’s Acer model is not necessarily the scanner’s model.
- For an Acer computer’s built-in hardware, identify the Acer computer itself and look up that product.
Download the device-specific driver from Acer
- Find the relevant Acer device’s serial number, SNID, or part number. Acer’s Drivers and Manuals page uses these identifiers to locate product downloads.
- Open the product-specific support page and select Windows 11 if it is offered.
- Expand the Driver section and download the entry that matches the product and the component you need.
- Follow the download’s installation instructions, then connect or restart the device as directed.
Acer’s Windows 11 driver guidance says that if Windows 11 cannot be selected, drivers for that model are not available on Acer’s website. Microsoft says Windows often discovers and installs a local or network scanner when it is connected. For a local scanner, connect its USB cable and turn it on. If it does not appear automatically:

- Open Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners.
- Select Add device and choose the scanner if it appears.
- For a network scanner, make sure the scanner and PC are connected to the same network.

Check that scanning—not just printing—works
A multifunction device may appear in Windows as a printer even when scanning is not ready. Open its device entry under Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners and look for scanner settings. Then open Windows Scan, select the scanner and scan settings, and test it with a page. Unless you choose another save location, Windows Scan saves scans in the PicturesScans folder in your user folder. If the scanner still does not appear
- Acer’s page has no Windows 11 selection: Use Windows Update, as Acer recommends when Windows 11 is unavailable for the product.
- Windows does not find the scanner: Check that it is powered on and connected; for network devices, confirm both devices share a network. Then check Windows Update and the scanner manufacturer’s support page for the exact model.
- A driver installs but the device still fails: Recheck the product and hardware identity before trying another driver. Acer warns that devices may contain components from different vendors, so a driver for the wrong vendor may not resolve the problem. See Acer’s guidance on identifying hardware and finding drivers.
Microsoft also recommends using Windows Update for printer drivers and identifying the exact printer model before obtaining manufacturer software: Download and install the latest printer drivers.
