First, check whether the data appears at your bank
Sign in through your financial institution’s official website or app. Check the account balance and the specific transactions or dates missing from the aggregator-powered app.

Check whether your bank and account are supported
If your institution does not appear in the app’s account-linking search, it may not be supported by the app’s data provider. A bank can also be missing because the app requires an authentication or data feature that is unavailable, or because the provider cannot establish a reliable connection at that time. Ask the app’s support team whether it supports your institution, your particular account type, and the information you want to access. The app may offer another linking method.

Review the connection status and resolve bank prompts
An account can appear in an app while its connection is failing during updates. Look for an error, a reconnect notice, or a request to update credentials. A changed or expired password, a new multi-factor authentication (MFA) requirement, an account lock, or another action required by the bank can interrupt the connection.

- Open the finance app and check the affected account’s connection status or error message.

Allow for update delays, especially with transactions
A transaction may show at your bank before it reaches the linked app. Plaid says transaction retrieval is periodic and varies by institution; its guidance describes updates as occurring daily or every few hours, depending on the institution. That timing applies to Plaid and is not a universal schedule for other aggregators. A connected account may also appear healthy even when an update is delayed.

Compare the app’s latest data with the bank’s records and check the app’s status page or support channel for an institution-specific incident. Plaid says transaction results reflect the last time it retrieved data; its explanation of transaction update timing does not promise real-time updates.

Contact support if the data remains missing
If the bank shows the information and the app still does not, contact the finance app—not the aggregator directly unless the app instructs you otherwise. The app can check its provider connection and determine what identifiers or logs are needed to investigate.

- The financial institution and affected account, described without sharing login details.
- The missing transaction or date range, and when it appears in the bank’s own service.
- Any error message and the time you last tried to refresh or reconnect.
