They are not phones with built-in gamepads. The M6 is the more feature-rich option, with wireless play and a battery; the M5 is a slimmer USB-C-only controller with phone pass-through charging.
How are the Abxylute M5 and M6 like the Xperia Play?
The resemblance is the sliding game-control layout. The Xperia Play was a smartphone with an integrated sliding controller; the M5 and M6 are accessories that attach to a compatible phone, with a magnetic grip attachment included. Notebookcheck reports that the M5 concept was inspired by the Xperia Play (Notebookcheck, October 7, 2026).

What’s the difference between the Abxylute M5 and M6?
The central trade-off is connection and features versus a slim wired design. The following specifications and launch prices were reported by Abxylute and launch coverage; they are not independent test results.
| Feature | Abxylute M5 | Abxylute M6 |
|---|---|---|

Abxylute’s October 6, 2026 press release also listed MSRPs of $84.99 for the M5 and $89.99 for the M6. Does the Abxylute M6 work wirelessly?
Yes. Abxylute and launch coverage describe Bluetooth 5.3 wireless play, with USB-C wired connection also available. The company’s quoted battery rating is up to 10 hours; that is a manufacturer claim, not an independently verified runtime. The M6’s additional features include a six-axis gyro, capacitive thumbsticks, Hall Effect linear triggers with a hair-trigger setting, customizable Z-button assignments, and multi-step macros (Android Authority, October 6, 2026).
Is the Abxylute M5 wired?
Yes. The M5 connects over USB-C and has no controller battery to charge. Launch reports say it supports pass-through charging, so the phone can be charged through the controller while connected. Its 8.5 mm measurement applies only to the controller’s thinnest point, according to Abxylute; it should not be read as the thickness of the entire assembly. The M5 omits Bluetooth, capacitive thumbsticks, and gyro control described for the M6 (Abxylute press release; Android Authority).

What phones, games, and services are supported?
Launch coverage describes support for Android and iPhone, plus controller modes labeled NS, XInput, and PS. That does not establish compatibility with every phone, operating-system version, game, or service. Check Abxylute’s current compatibility information and the requirements of the specific game or remote-play service before buying.

M6 touch mapping lets users assign on-screen controls to physical buttons, but it depends on the device, game, and app supporting the feature. Notebookcheck says an adhesive metal ring is included for phones without a compatible magnetic mount, so check the package details rather than assuming a separate ring is required (Notebookcheck; Android Authority).
