These are the top three English-language TV picks in Netflix Tudum’s latest complete weekly chart available on October 7, 2026. Important date caveat: that chart measures September 28–October 4, not October 6–12, so it is a timely shortlist rather than a definitive ranking for this week.

1. East of Eden: a compact literary family drama
Netflix Tudum places East of Eden at No. 1 with 6.5 million views in the reporting week. The seven-episode limited series adapts Steinbeck’s novel, centering on Cathy Ames and the Trask family. Florence Pugh stars as Cathy, with Christopher Abbott and Mike Faist playing brothers Adam and Charles Trask.

The seven-episode run makes this the clearest choice if you want a finite commitment rather than an ongoing series. Its source novel offers additional context for readers who want to explore the story on the page, but reading it is not a prerequisite for watching the adaptation.
2. Monster: The Lizzie Borden Story: an anthology take on a historical case
At No. 2, Monster: The Lizzie Borden Story drew 5.7 million views, according to Netflix Tudum. Ella Beatty stars in the fourth installment of the Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan anthology.

The story is built around Lizzie Borden, who was charged in 1892 with murdering her parents. That wording matters: the report says she was charged, not convicted. Netflix’s ranking article describes a drama, not a documentary, and does not establish the series’ historical accuracy.

3. A Different World: a new class at Hillman College
A Different World ranks No. 3 with 5.1 million views in the same week. What “this week” means for this Netflix Top 10 list
The October 6–12 date range in this article’s title is the viewing window for the recommendations, not the dates covered by Netflix’s ranking. As of October 7, the latest complete English TV chart cited here covers September 28–October 4. Netflix’s next weekly report may change the list; the three shows above are therefore the best-supported picks from the latest complete ranking available on October 7, not confirmed leaders for October 6–12.
