Start with something that actually happened in your work, not an AI-generated topic. Turn it into one useful reader question, research claims that need outside evidence, and use AI to organize or draft from your notes. Before publishing, a person must verify every factual claim and citation, remove unsupported material, and decide whether the post adds value beyond a generic summary. This is a repeatable workflow for publishing regularly; it does not establish or promise a daily posting cadence.
1. Capture an observation from real work
Keep a running record of tasks, decisions, problems, experiments, results, mistakes, and lessons that might help someone else. For each entry, note when it happened and distinguish what you observed directly from what you infer or learned elsewhere. Record uncertainty rather than filling gaps later.

A useful starting note can be brief: what you were trying to do, what you tried, what happened, and what you would do differently. Treat a personal result as an account of that situation, not proof that the same approach will work for everyone.
2. Choose one reader question
Identify who might benefit from the experience, what they are trying to accomplish, and what your account can answer that a generic explanation cannot. A post can then follow the reader’s path:

- The situation or problem
- What you tried and what you observed
- What you learned, including limitations or uncertainty
- Which broader claims need outside evidence
- What a reader can reasonably do next
Do not invent a result or turn an anecdote into a general rule. If the experience does not support a useful answer, save it until you have enough evidence or choose a different question.
3. Build a source trail for external claims
List claims that depend on facts beyond your own experience. For each non-obvious claim, keep the exact URL, publisher, publication or update date when available, the relevant passage, and the statement it supports. Prefer primary material such as official documentation, standards, original research, or first-party data when available.
OpenAI’s API guidance on citation formatting recommends defining the citable material clearly and checking that citations are relevant and accurate. A citation is not support merely because it appears near a sentence: the source must actually substantiate that sentence.

If sources disagree, determine whether one is more authoritative for the narrow claim you are making. If the conflict remains unresolved, explain the uncertainty or omit the claim rather than smoothing over the disagreement.
4. Give AI a bounded drafting role
Provide the model with your work notes and verified source excerpts. Ask it to organize the material, propose an outline, improve clarity, or flag claims that appear to need sourcing. Make the boundary explicit: it must not invent personal experience, tests, figures, names, dates, or citations.
Any new assertion the model adds is a lead to investigate, not a fact. Generative models predict likely sequences of language and can produce inaccurate statements; Google Search Central advises manual fact-checking and review before publication. Its guidance on generative AI content says: “It is critical to manually factcheck and review all AI-generated content for accuracy and trustworthiness before publishing.”

5. Verify the draft, including its metadata
Check each factual claim against the source passage in context. Confirm that the source supports the wording, and preserve qualifications around numbers, dates, editions, regions, and conditions. Check quotations word for word and attribute them to the correct speaker or organization.

- Make sure a source link leads to the cited material and is attached to the claim it supports.
- Review the title, meta description, structured data, and image alt text as well as the article body.
Google’s guidance explicitly includes titles, meta descriptions, structured data, and image alt text in its recommendation to review AI-generated content.
6. Check whether the post contributes something original
Before publishing, ask whether the page contains meaningful first-hand observation, analysis, reporting, or synthesis—not just a rearrangement of existing sources. Google’s people-first content guidance asks creators to consider whether their work offers original information, research, analysis, substantial value, and accuracy.

That standard is also a useful editorial test for AI-assisted work: the model can help express the material, but the author’s evidence and judgment need to make the page worth reading. Publishing many AI-assisted pages without adding user value may fall under Google’s scaled content abuse policy. Daily volume by itself is not a measure of usefulness.

Publish only when a human author is satisfied with the accuracy and usefulness of the finished page. Keep the source notes and final version so claims can be checked again when circumstances change. If relevant facts or product details change, update the article and date meaningful updates accurately.

Explain AI’s role when readers would reasonably wonder how the content was made, and describe only what actually happened. Google says a disclosure can help readers understand content’s context. For first-party written content created partly with OpenAI’s API, OpenAI’s publication policy calls for attribution to the author or company, clear disclosure of AI’s role, and human responsibility for the published content. These sources do not, by themselves, establish a universal legal disclosure duty.

What this workflow does—and does not—do for Google Search
Google’s guide to generative AI features in Search, last updated July 10, 2026, says pages must meet Search technical requirements and be eligible for a Search snippet to appear in generative AI features. It recommends crawlability and good page experience. It does not require an llms.txt file, tiny content chunks, or a special writing style for generative AI Search.
Use descriptive titles, clear organization, crawlable pages, and useful original content as part of ordinary publishing and SEO practice. Do not create pages for query variations primarily to manipulate rankings or AI responses. Google says structured data is not required for generative AI Search, though it may still be useful for broader SEO and rich-result eligibility. No prompt, posting schedule, chunk size, or markup guarantees rankings or inclusion in AI-generated answers.
