That is a reported price, not a confirmed live offer. Sony’s 2024 BRAVIA 8 is a 4K OLED Google TV with a 120 Hz panel and support for 4K/120, VRR, and ALLM; check the current listing’s full model number, seller, and price before buying.
What is the reported Amazon deal?

Sony’s US product page identifies its 2024 77-inch BRAVIA 8 as model K-77XR80, while Sony’s support specifications page covers K-77XR80C. Those identifiers are not explicitly confirmed by the sources as the same retail package as the deal report’s K-77XR8C variation. Before ordering, compare the full model identifier on Amazon with the product description and confirm the seller, delivery, and return terms.
Sony’s US page separately displayed $2,799.99, reduced by $200 from $2,999.99, for K-77XR80 when observed in October 2026. That is a separate manufacturer-listed price, not proof of the Amazon listing’s original price or savings calculation.

What does it offer for gaming?
Sony specifies a 120 Hz panel for the 77-inch K-77XR80C and lists HDMI features including 4K120, variable refresh rate (VRR), and Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM). Sony also describes a Game Menu and features branded as Perfect for PS5 on its product page.
These specifications can suit compatible consoles or PCs, but they do not make every game run at 120 frames per second. Sony states that a game supporting VRR and/or 4K/120fps is required. The source device, game, settings, and connection must also support the feature being used.

What should movie viewers know?
The BRAVIA 8 is a 4K OLED Google TV. Sony lists Dolby Vision, HDR10, and HLG compatibility, covering several common HDR formats used by movies and shows. Format support does not by itself prove that this TV has better picture quality than another model.
Sony describes the OLED panel as having “over 8 million self-lit pixels” and says it uses XR processing. These are manufacturer descriptions, not independent measurements. The available information does not establish comparative brightness, reflection handling, input lag, burn-in performance, or sound quality.

How to check whether the deal is worth pursuing
- Open the Amazon listing and verify its complete model number. Do not assume K-77XR8C, K-77XR80, and K-77XR80C are interchangeable based only on the available reports.
- Check the live price, stock, seller, delivery date, and return terms. The $1,598 figure belongs to Notebookcheck’s October 6, 2026 report and may have changed.
- Compare the exact model and timestamp when evaluating savings. Sony’s separately observed K-77XR80 price is not a verified reference price for the Amazon variation.
- For a broader comparison with another 77-inch OLED, weigh the exact SKU and price alongside supported HDR formats, gaming features and compatible HDMI inputs, operating system, independent picture testing, warranty, and seller terms.
Product prices and availability are accurate as of the date/time indicated and are subject to change. Any price and availability information displayed on Amazon at the time of purchase will apply.
