These five monitors are useful starting points for a DisplayPort shortlist, but only one model’s DisplayPort version is established by the sources cited here. Check the exact model’s official specifications and your computer’s output before buying: a DisplayPort socket alone does not guarantee a particular resolution, refresh rate, or adaptive-sync feature.
Five monitors to consider
The models below cover different priorities, from high-refresh 4K gaming to more affordable 1440p. The published recommendations and assessments belong to the cited reviewers; they are not independent test results. For models whose DisplayPort configuration is not confirmed in the cited coverage, treat the monitor as a shortlist candidate—not a verified DisplayPort match—until you check the exact SKU’s official specifications.

1. MSI MPG 322UR QD-OLED X24 — 4K gaming and USB-C power
TechRadar’s 2026 roundup names this its best overall monitor. It lists a 32-inch 4K panel, a 240Hz refresh rate, DisplayPort 2.1, and USB-C with 98W power delivery. TechRadar also flags OLED brightness and price as drawbacks. The combination may suit someone seeking a large, high-refresh gaming display that can also connect to a compatible laptop over USB-C. Confirm your computer can output the resolution and refresh rate you intend to use. TechRadar’s 2026 monitor roundup
2. ASUS ROG Strix XG27UCG — dual-mode 4K gaming
PC Gamer’s 2026 gaming roundup calls it the best budget 4K gaming monitor and reports a 27-inch IPS panel with 4K at 160Hz, plus a dual-mode option for 1080p at 320Hz. The reviewer notes limited USB connectivity and says the 1080p desktop mode looks softer. The cited coverage does not establish the DisplayPort input or version, so verify those details for the exact regional model before treating it as a DisplayPort pick. RTINGS lists this as a budget pick and reports a 27-inch 1440p VA panel with a 180Hz refresh rate. Its roundup highlights Mini LED local dimming, while noting lower brightness than the compared MSI and smearing in dark scenes. Check the exact model’s DisplayPort capabilities and local availability before purchase. RTINGS’ 2026 monitor roundup
4. Dell Alienware AW2725DM — 1440p versatility
RTINGS lists this 27-inch 1440p IPS monitor at 180Hz as its cheap pick, describing it as a more affordable, versatile option than the AOC while noting weaker HDR and local dimming. 5. A fifth pick should wait for port verification
The available model evidence does not establish a fifth monitor’s DisplayPort input and exact configuration well enough to recommend it as a confirmed match for this list. Rather than imply that every monitor in a general “best monitors” roundup qualifies, check current manufacturer specifications and availability for your market before adding another model. RTINGS specifically notes that the Dell S3225QC lacks a DisplayPort input, so it should not be mistaken for a DisplayPort option. RTINGS’ 2026 monitor roundup
How to choose a DisplayPort monitor
Match the monitor to your computer and target signal
Check both ends of the connection: the monitor’s exact input and your graphics card or laptop’s output. The signal is constrained by the less capable part of the chain, and a port using a given DisplayPort version does not necessarily provide that version’s maximum bandwidth. RTINGS explains the version and implementation differences in its HDMI and DisplayPort comparison.

- Quality Visuals: The KG271U 27" IPS monitor with 2560 x 1440 QHD resolution in a 16:9 aspect ratio presents stunning, high-quality images with excellent detail. The zero-frame design does away with the thick frames found on conventional monitors freeing up precious screen space.
- AMD FreeSync Technology: Say “goodbye” to stuttering and tearing. With AMD FreeSync, the monitor’s frames are synced with the graphics card’s frames, which eliminates screen tearing and provide the smoothest gaming experience.
- Up to 180Hz: The 180Hz refresh rate speeds up the frames per second to deliver an ultra-smooth 2D motion scene. With a rapid refresh rate of up to 180Hz, Acer Gaming Monitors shorten the time it takes for frame rendering, lower input lag and provide gamers an excellent in-game experience.
- Responsive!!: Up to 0.5ms GTG (Gray to Gray) response time enhanced gamers’ in-game experience. No matter the fast-moving action or any dramatic transitions will be all rendered smoothly without the annoying effects of smearing or ghosting with KG271U Gaming Monitor.
- New Depths of Color Accuracy: is monitor is ideal for color-critical projects producing accurate colors, supporting DCI-P3 95%. An amazing monitor for graphic designers, photographers, and film editors.
Write down your intended resolution and refresh rate, then confirm that the monitor, computer output, and connection support them together. A monitor’s advertised maximum refresh rate does not guarantee that your particular computer can drive it at the selected resolution.
Choose size, resolution, panel, and refresh for the workload
For everyday productivity, LG says 60Hz is common; it suggests considering 120Hz or above for smoother gaming or video. Actual performance depends on the computer as well as the display. Compare screen size and resolution alongside panel type, response behavior, HDR, stand adjustments, connectivity, and price rather than treating DisplayPort as a quality rating. Check adaptive sync rather than assuming DisplayPort is mandatory
DisplayPort can matter for variable refresh rate (VRR), but it is not universally required. RTINGS reports that VRR works over both HDMI and DisplayPort on many current monitors and graphics cards; NVIDIA G-SYNC support over HDMI varies by monitor. Check the exact monitor and graphics-card compatibility for the feature you want. RTINGS’ interface comparison

USB-C can carry DisplayPort video through DisplayPort Alt Mode when both connected devices support it. Some monitors also provide laptop power and USB hub access through USB-C, but those features are model-specific: verify video, charging wattage, and hub functionality on both devices.

DisplayPort 1.2 Multi-Stream Transport (MST) can support daisy-chaining when the monitor has DisplayPort out or a hub is used, subject to the total available bandwidth. Check that the monitor offers the required output or hub; an input alone does not provide daisy-chaining. RTINGS’ explanation of DisplayPort features
Use certification as one check, not a substitute for specifications
VESA says, “Products in the DisplayPort Product Database that have the DisplayPort Logo have been tested and approved by VESA.” Its logo policy began in May 2012. A logo or database listing can help establish product testing, but you still need to confirm the exact model’s supported inputs and signal capabilities for your setup. VESA’s tested-products database
